Maybe it’s time to consciously choose to relax and let someone else take the wheel - let them plan and execute something fun for you to do together and just be excited by it.

Part of being in a relationship is creating space for another person to come into your life - if you are too rigid and controlling of the pattern and routine you don’t have room for them to come in.

Let them take control and show you what they are capable of. If they are really a HVM then they will enjoy planning and treating you with experiences. Then you can just go along for the ride.

First off, you don't know that he's HV if you haven't even been on one date with him. It typically takes over 90 days to tell.

If you have places you want to go, you can tell him so for later dates if he doesn't screw up on the first one.

Maybe don’t do it on the first date ? Once he has proven his effort in deciding other dates you can drop him hints on what places you’d like to see so they can take you there.

I am a lot like you and have my own list of restaurants to try. But this isn’t about having the best meal, you can do that with your friends, this is about observing how he plans the date and how much effort he’s willing to put.
