You can try and flip the script and see if he plays to your rules but he most likely won't and will just leave so be ready for that.

Rise to your standards
Try to lower your standards

Yes, but there’s no guarantee they’ll stick around, and it’s exhausting and may not be worth it. That’s my story. I won’t get into details because it’s an almost 2 decade story, but my relationship was VERY different in the beginning. He had a good foundation as a HVM, but some messed up tendencies over time. I was a naive pickmeisha. Eventually (though there was plenty of good) the bad had me hit a point where I said “Fuck. This. Shit.” and changed completely. When he realized he was going to lose me, he turned himself around. Also, I’m a vengeful beast of a woman, just call me Karma cuz I’ll do what you did to me back to you times 3, got the script flip game on lock 😆. My advice isn’t the best, as that sort of strategy isn’t advocated here, and there’s some detail to it that is very unconventional so I’ll leave that out, but yea. My $0.02.
