Men need constant reassurance about everything because their egos are so fragile. Primitively speaking, we all need to feel part of a pack in order to survive - that means having a social group we can lean onto. Men have their group of friends, some of which would not look upon certain behaviors in a good light. Probably shun this person for what they did.

So in order to avoid rejection by the people they trust and look up to, they lie. It keeps their dignity and manliness intact and bonus point: makes the other party look bad. Man gets pat in the back and reassurance that he did nothing wrong from his friends, and the woman has to deal with all the repercussions by herself. Crisis averted; can live the scrote life another day.

Many of these men were coddled as children first by their parents and then by society. They believe they can do no harm, that they're always right, and it's women who make everything hard for them. They believe they're entitled to whatever they want, and that includes other human beings.

Women can take rejection and are strong enough mentally to move past difficult situations (like public humiliation, extreme guilt,.etc). Probably because we're so used to it after centuries and centiries of suffering at the hands of mankind.

Men can't/aren't. That's why when these situations happen, men are most likely to commit suicide rather than face the consequences of their actions.

Men don't see women as equals. In their mind we are always below them and not as smart/logical as them. Therefore when there's an argument, they see themselves as undoubtedly right and us as wrong, no matter what it's about.

If a woman refuses to let him have his way and there's cosiquesces, he's of course going to cry wolf, because he thinks that he's right and entitled to getting this way, and he's hurt by not getting it.

The men who do that have narcissistic personality disorder. They want to be seen as victims because THEY see themselves as such. They can't take any responsibility because doing so means they were wrong. And if they are wrong and criticized it means that their false sense of self is truly fake and that terrifies them. They feel entitled and they WILL lie about you being the abusive one. They can't stand being called out and will try to do everything in their power to gain control in the situation and make the other person feel guilty. If they are wrong they aren't perfect and they're bad. These guys hate themselves deep down and if you do anything that reminds them of that they will go into a narcissistic rage.

That being said they can also just be abusive without having any cluster b personality disorder. Or they could have a different pd. Some men have learned these abusive behaviors from their parents/society and they don't see anything wrong with using them or feel that it is justified or some are not fully aware. Some men use them on PURPOSE to be the one in control. Yes they are that evil.

In conclusion they do this to gain power and control over the other person simply because they lack empathy and do not care about anyone other than themselves and their needs. Its the sad truth.
