I will always recommend this book. I've read it twice. It really dives down deep into the psychological makeup of abusers.

They also complain about how much they’ve spent on their SO or the household (if they spent money). Like why would they bring up this during an argument?

After many years I finally got the nerve to ask my ex/abuser exactly what he was thinking when he was using a teenage girl for sex when he was in his 20’s, and he literally lied and tried to tell me he didn’t remember our age difference. The whole time we were involved he was having me over in the middle of the night to fuck and telling me that we couldn’t have any other kind of relationship because of my age and what people would think about it. But I ask him about it later and magically it’s “Oh was there a big age difference? I don’t remember.” Narcissists are some truly amazing people.

When I was 15 I dated a 19 year old who made my life a living hell. No one was there to protect me. Now I'm protective of myself. If I ever have the blessing of having a daughter, I will guard her and protect her.
