Watch the documentary Nothing Like A Dame). It's just four elderly British actresses talking about their lives and careers, but it's fantastic entertainment. Dame Maggie is one of them.

I'm in the middle of a rewatch too! The entire show is amazing but her lines and whole vibe are just perfection.

I think there's actually good examples of HV men and women scattered around too, as well as some level up journeys.

She is amazing! A strong talented women with a passion and never let anyone or anything stop her, for being 86 and still healthy and sharp as ever and still doing movies it inspires me so much. Having a passion I truly think makes you live longer and healthier. For being in such an ageist and sexist industry she has thrived even well into her 80's. I do believe the acting industry is getting bit better for women...and the music industry.. well thats gone to shit and still hasn't improved. I know some women in their 20's with a passion for acting and theatre and they have legit told me that its too late for them...next time I will say to them: Girl...Maggie smith is 86 and still starring in movies and even raised two children, you got all the time in the world.

Its so refreshing to see older ladies on here and on social media, to be able to look up to these wise women. Young women need more of that today, we are all way too exposed to smooth skin and big butts and I feel it makes many women fear agein . I wish there were more popular films with older women and for older women. My 78yr old neighbour says there is nothing for her to watch on tv or Netflix anymore because its all targeted towards young people. Like you really think this woman wants to watch the kissing booth. Most Netflix originals are targeted towards teens and young adults. Its so sad. I honestly hate that media is all targeted towards young people, like I do understand it and it makes sense but its all WAY too youth orientated and it needs to be more inclusive. Im also yet to see a woman over 50 play an action star, here is Harrison ford playing Indiana jones at 79 and of course the female lead is a hot 35yr old..so when will women over 40 get more roles other than mothers.
