Don't you think the term "child soldiers" completely distracts from the fact that the vast majority of child soldiers in all conflicts around the world are, were, and likely will be boys?

In the final days of the war, the Germans preferred to send 12-year-old boys to the front rather than healthy and strong women. This is evident in every regime that is backed into a corner and losing a war. They would sooner send children of the inferior sex into combat than any woman.

According to UN girls make 12.3% of child soldiers, this could be less since UN is far misoandrist. In official publications or magazines, the gender-neutral term "child soldiers" is always used.

Instead, I suggest everyone use the term "boy soldiers" to emphasize this fact.
