Even if you spend money in a console (I have every system except Nintendo [I do have a super Nintendo downstairs]) plus my pc. Invested maybe $10,000 total into it since I was 10, I'm 23 now. Still far less money spent than if I was with a women. Hands down the most fun hobby I have, especially when I can play games with my buddies, and/or brother. Besides, video games are far more entertaining, interesting, engaging, than any woman I've ever met or will meet. And the only women I love is Lydia.

My favourite games are

Gears of War (fuck judgement), Battlefront, Battlefield, GTA V, Skyrim, Fallout, The witcher, Uncharted, God of War, Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, Champions of Norrath and Return to Arms, Batman Arkham series, Red Dead Redemption.

But I ran out of PS+ and live, so it's just pc right now.

I've been gaming for 28 years and I've always preferred console to PC.

If you're on Xbox then EA Access and Xbox Live pay for themselves in free games.

More money saving tips.

-Torrent all single player games. -Buy only the games that trully deserve your money for example. Overwatch, GTAV, SC2, Counter Strike. -Never ever ever ever spend any money on cosmetic items.

Gog is pretty good too. Man, planescape torment, baldurs gate series, things like that are excellent if you have yet to play them.

There are lots of free games out there too, but then a lot of them will have a paywall. I'm lking Hearthstone these days though.

You could save even more money if you're up for running Linux, but that's certainly not for everyone. But tons of Windows games run on there via wine. I am upset lord of the rings stopped working under wine though.

Never buy games new. wait till the price comes down later that year. in my country they will start at 80-120, and in a year, be as low as 30-40. only splurge on a game you are super fucking hyped about and can't wait (i do that with games like skyrim or fallout4).

typically this is better because most all games end up with an "ultimate/definative/game of the year" edition which contains all the DLC they drip feed out for the rest of the year. they never release full games anymore, they release the base and then give out 3-4 dlc add ons. you can get the game with all the add-ons a year later for a cheap price. rather than full price for the base game, then 30 dollars for each add-on.

buying console games online is usually cheaper. i live in aus and if i buy them from the UK i get them cheaper. EB games has a return policy for games where you get full price within 10 days if you don't like. if i enjoy a game but finish it within 2-3 days, and don't really want to play it again, i return it for full price, and get something else. its practically like renting games. but i will keep the game if i think its an absolutely amazing game. also of course i return shitty ones. its great to buy a game, realise its shit, and then return it for full money.

for PC gaming i always have a PC ages behind modern times, and just play old games. i always find plenty of old games to play. I also go down the root of emulators to play games from the gamecube or 64 or playstation 1-2 era from time to time. this of course is entirely free. plenty of awesome RPGs and stuff on the super nintendo. practically unlimited amount of games to choose from with emulators.
