TRP is about bettering yourself, but there's a goal which usually ends badly for you, as well as not focusing on things bettering yourself for you.

90% of TRP is "bettering" yourself to support PUA and getting your weiner wet, which is fine if that's your life goals, but there's not that much on bettering yourself in ways unrelated to PUA and sex.

That's not bettering yourself, that's bending the knee to whatever nonsense women want that day and chasing after pussy.

I'm, in many way, the nice guy. I'd do anything for anyone.

I don't like confrontation. I hate that I do but I will literally start crying when someone I care about is hateful toward me. I don't intend to be that way. It's just how I respond to such things. The only people who have ever been that way towards me have been women I have been in relationships with. I'm sure it looks pathetic to them and I only end up being treated worse.

And so by me being a MGTOW, if you want to call it that, I simply refuse to be taken advantage of anymore.

I'm learning how to say no. I'm learning how to make up my own mind. I'm learning how to be independent.

But I have no desire to become an "alpha male." I'd rather just do my own thing.

Basically the post just said to dress well, hold eye contact, have good posture, and have a good looking body.

Like most subs, take what’s useful to you and discard the rest. There’s some sound fundamentals within red pill philosophy that will serve you well, how you use it is up to you. Personally, I’ve embraced the concepts of self improvement because they’re good for me, I don’t really care how women or anyone else respond to it.

I feel like red pill is the underlying philosophy to MGTOW and PUA. I mean you really can do whatever you want, but in my mind PUA's gamify redpill knowledge in order to do the same things as women, to manipulate for sex vs. success. Where as MGTOW has no need or want to manipulate, it just is, we want nothing to do with any of it because we are not manipulators, we are not women, and we will never be as good at manipulating because we have not had a lifetime of practice of it and that is just not in our nature. I feel like PUA's are manipulating the Red Pill subreddit to be more in their corner because if they had their own then their tactics would be called out and turned into its own thing and that is not good for the manipulation aspect of it. The best part of MGTOW is that it does not really have any hard and fast rules. It is more of a mindset, a pro-freedom movement if you will from the game that is modern relationships because it is all bullshit and red pill just signifies that you are aware, I hate the word, but that you are "woke" to the truths of modern relationships of men and women. Also in the extreme "me too" world that we live in, PUA's are just asking for trouble IMHO.

To me the only sort of lifting that is truly important is the lifting of the size of my bank account. Anything other than that is just superfluous, money is happiness, money is freedom! MGTOW in my view serves as a warning to you that relationships today brings a great risk of taking all the freedom and happiness you would gain from your money so it's better to go on your own way and enjoy the spoils of your hard work as you see fit!

You're spot on with this statement.

I've gone far too deep on both sides of the fence: In Redpill previously, with much "success" according to their standards. Then MGTOW, more recently after I've come to resent women's interests that are detrimental to my own.

Redpill's critical mistake is an error in thinking. Their creed tries to prioritize their lives in the following order:

I will improve my life for my own happiness.
I will make myself more marketable to women, in attitudes, behaviors, personality, opinions, and ALL external displays and expressions of self.
I will ALWAYS please women sexually.

The problem is that they put so much emphasis on #3, it subverts #1. They do this under the false impression that women have the capacity to return the favor after the amount of psychological debt they've done to themselves (Hint: They don't!) No matter how attractive women are in or out of bed, or how enticing they are, they'll never make up for how much YOU have to put out, because they are in fact quite socially incapable of ever being accountable. A man not allowing himself express his own independent thoughts and needs when bargaining with people like that makes that quite a lot worse!

This shows up in redpill's forums. It shows up in their cult-like mindset. It shows up in their self opinions. It shows up everywhere in their lives. To them, anything that challenges #3, challenges #1, because they've DEFINED their own happiness in terms of a women's sexual libido. In doing so they've already lost #1, because they've essentially decreed that "women's pleasure comes before my own, because here I am forcing myself to give women free handouts", in defense of what little self-respect they have allowed themselves to show by suppressing their own native personalities.

I think the most important thing MGTOW could do, would be not to dismiss them, but rather to understand them. Men need a palette of information to come to their own self-realization about what's going on, and how to find happiness in a world that's completely against them.

Redpill is NOT WRONG about women, but they're certainly NOT RIGHT about men.

(Imo, that I'd be VERY keen on engaging them more on; How balance between their own needs and those of the women whom the claim to adorn!)

I take bits and pieces from the content written on red pill websites. Some is quite useful in regards to mental/ physical development and entrepreneurship/ improving focus. Unfortunately, many of these red pill guys speaking on the topics of women and improving as a man don't reflect the message they speak. Matt Forney for example, the guy got chased down on camera -- never stood his ground as a masculine man, he's out of shape, and I know he's not fucking the women he claims. None of this would matter to me if he didn't present himself as a leader in the redpill community. But since he has identified himself as such, he's open to criticism, and what he's portraying is bullshit. I just read his blog while typing this, and I see he's focusing on improving his physical health, so that's a start in the right direction.

Basically what I'm saying, a lot of redpill men have pent up frustration about their lack of success with women and with life in general. Stop bitching and improve yourself. Fuck seeking approval from people. When people see you respect yourself, they respect you. Don't be a clown for attention and don't make your journey for self improvement really about seeking the approval of others. Focus on yourself and everything else will follow in line. I think it's important to take the "red pill" in terms of having the personal awaking as it regards to how life actually works, outside of the social programming, but from that, SHOULD spring MGTOW, including the self awareness and improvement that comes from the personal journey of going one's own way. I haven't had any experience with this "movement" you guys are referring to and the behaviors they exhibit, but I have seen some of those traits in men who call themselves MGTOW in other avenues. It's important to be accepting of men, but while we should reach out and help those in need, those who are in need should help themselves by applying the advice given. Otherwise you're just wasting people's time. Also equally important is discerning the difference between speaking truthfully about the world around you, and becoming a resentful whiner who only engages in bitchfests. That isn't productive, and it isn't healthy. Share experiences, speak truthfully, and don't dwell on negative energy. In defining our own life journey can you truly realize that we are not actually in competition with each other. Esp as it relates to rejecting certain female engagements like marriage, cohabitation etc - that you can truly lift up your fellow man, while also forging your own individual path.

I think there's a big misunderstanding of the redpill. It's not about pussy worship, it's a guide to getting laid in today's market. GYOW is fine if that's what you want to do, but if you want to pull ass on the regular the redpill is the way to do it. There's no rules to MGTOW, I'm not going to wife up some slut or live with one again. But I do want to maximize my opportunity at banging better looking women.
