[–]DeadShot9144 points45 points46 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Limited spectrum compared to humans, but yes.
[–]Careful_Description20 points21 points22 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I heard it's less saturated too.

I think supposedly though, human visual perception, if not just the eye itself, is possibly the most sophisticated or wayyy up there in the animal kingdom

Human see with RED, GREEN, and BLUE cones in their eyes. Dogs only have RED and BLUE cones. So you can see the dog version by just taking the green channel out of an image.

So.. dogs can't see yellow?
[–]Raider_Scavver3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
So dogs would make excellent green lanterns?
[–]GroolNGirlJuice2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Grey lanterns*
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I guess it would look like red to them. Not sure.

I'd read somewhere (can't remember the religious text) that :
Man and all animals on earth existed together, then one day God split the earth between them, separating man from all the animals with a growing fissure. As the fissure opened, man cried out to the dog, who jumped the gap and nearly fell in, but was caught from falling by man catching him in time.
Really wish I could remember which text that came from, I'm kinda butchering it in it's retelling, but it goes to show how long man and dogs have been paired together.

That's the Bible in the beginning before Eve messed it up
[–]XavierMalory4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Thanks!

Goddamn simp Adam. Should've let Eve screw up by herself.

I know right, if anything God could've probably gave him a better wife(maybe one without hypergamy), while she gets rot and decay like the thot she was...

Man's relationship with dogs has existed for 15000 years. God couldn't have given us a more faithful companion.
[–]Disbursed-operant14 points15 points16 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
So God sees that Adam is lonely and feels bad about it. So he goes up to Adam and says:
God: "yo adam, I made you and stuff, but you obviously need a companion of your own. how about I make you a perfect one who will love you unconditionally, be kind to you, caring, beautiful, and satisfy you in every way imaginable while loving you forever?
Adam: that sounds good let's do it!
God: "ok, but it's going to cost you 1 arm and 1 leg for me to make it happen"
Adam: "... ... ... what can I get for a rib?"
Classic joke. Well done.
Also goes to prove this saying is as old as humanity's dawn: "You get what you pay for."

God Damn, you're more than right. Do you know any Mark Twain quotes about dogs?
If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man.
The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog.
Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in.
The dog is a gentleman; I hope to go to his heaven, not man’s.
I picked-up a stray dog in the California desert when I was a young man. She was a puppy, and I had her for 15 years before she departed this Earth. BEST. FRIEND. EVER. And she survived TWO marriages. She's been gone now for years, but I still think about her; still brings a tear to my eye that she's gone.

Peace and Love Brother! Thank you for sharing the quotes, and the story about your dog.

Amen to that.

[–]vivab0rg3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The kind of loyalty you'll never find in human females.
Makes me think of my dog who died a week before Christmas. He was 17, i had him since he was a newborn pup. I miss him a lot, because nobody ever loves you like your dog loves you.

The sheer level of accuracy in that image.
