The article doesn't actually bring up any of the stats, just names the source. My guess is that the survey doesn't actually poll any single women in their 40s or older. Because our stats don't lie; women are committing suicide at higher rates than at any point in history. And they ain't killing themselves because it's a fucking Tuesday.

Short-term perhaps, but then again, women tend more towards short-term thinking. As soon as they hit the wall, and reality starts to sink in. When they realize they have no marketable skills, no future prospects, and no children, said happiness will go right out the window. "Leading expert in happiness", what a joke. Is that actually a job description now?

I wish it was true, as then perhaps they'd leave men the Hell alone, instead of flocking like vultures over our wallets. Reality tells a very different story: In their 20's, they swoon over Chad while riding the cock carosel. In their 30's they try to deny the existence of the wall, while the number of desirable men only continues to decline. By their 40's they are desperate, panicked, and can't understand why no men want anything to do with them, unaware that many of the men they once targeted are now grown up and see right through them.

I mean, yeah, women get treated like gold because that’s how our society works. Declining monogamy. No sexual accountability. Women don’t have to worry about their reputation because social proximity has expanded drastically through the internet.

A beautiful woman can get on Tinder and have a different guy buy her dinner every night, for years and years. What’s there to lose?

If she stays physically fit and attractive, a woman can keep this up into her thirties and forties (given good genetics).
