This probably won't get a lot of traction, and I'm okay with that. I've known him 20 years. He's had a crush on me for the entire time, and I brushed him off a few years back. A few months ago he pursued me, and I jumped in. I moved in with him a month later. It hasn't been perfect, but we communicate well and have worked through all of the bumps.
I normally ignore red flags in relationships. There haven't been any red flags with him. I've never been so blissfully happy. My friends love him, my family approves, my kids adore him and his kids have started calling me their step mom. My best friend asked him one night if he wanted to marry me, he told her I've got him for life and he would marry me the next day if possible (we are both in the process of divorce, with that said we were single long enough that this is not a rebound).
A couple of weeks ago we were talking about us and our future and how happy we are, and I said "I know it's traditional for the guy to ask, but I want you and I want this and I want forever, so will you marry me?" And he said yes! I have been walking on air ever since, we are planning a very small wedding with just immediate family, followed by bar hopping with friends next July. That gives us a year to sort it all out. I asked him to marry me, no rings, no planning, I just did it when it felt right, and now we have the rest of our lives to make up for missing out on the last 20 years. And I have never been so happy ❤️

she kept the perfect beta on ice while she fucked chads lol
NEVER be this guy....
[–]martynhare 14 points15 points16 points (0 children) | Copy Link
He was some other woman's cuck while she was CC'ing. He didn't need to be "on ice", it's such a perfectly lucky situation for her that no-one can even accuse her of that! It's like wanting someone dead but then someone else murderkills them instead, sparing you the dirty accusations and the prison time...
MGTOWrath has it spot on with this one >_>

Translated from Woman-speak to English: I ran out of options, but boy did I luck out. He's used up damaged goods just like I am, but I could always use an extra paycheck from my free babysitter. Since I have nothing left, I better make a grand show of defying convention to lock him down by proving I'm "not like the other girls" ... you know, the girl I used to be back when he was interested in me 20 years ago before I flushed my virginity down the toilet.

Bruh the thing that gets me is the man has already being divorced and is actually willing to try it all again, like wtf man
[–]Neldot2 points3 points4 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Not only he has already been divorced, but according to what she writes, he just divorced. It looks like someone that has just got bitten by a shark and says "'Well, I'm still bleeding, but just a bit. I think that I will take another swim".

Please submit Women-speak to Google Translate. When they refuse it'd be great if you'd make your own. Thanks !

You can vomit. But don’t marry a used bathroom in need of repair.

Well thats a scary trend... "my wife asked me to marry her 36 years.... " my wife asked me to marry her 33 years... " makes me wonder at the more realistic stats of how many women did that back then and in what age groups...then of course a comparison to today as well... Good tactical info in dealing with women in this day and age if u have to...

My ex proposed to me mere weeks before she turned 30. No conversations about it, no hints. She literally jumped up, ran out of the apt, came back and dragged me onto the building's roof.

Cliff Notes: 2 people that are currently married to other people and both have kids have moved in together and decided to marry each other. All within a few months. “Going thru a divorce” is a sneaky way to say you’re married.

It's incredible how brainwashed some guys are, it's even infuriating to see that kind of stupidity, but ok I guess that's what you get for being a beta dumb fk

I was hoping for a happy ending, now I'm just sad for this poor simp
[–]oohhowjumbo1 point2 points3 points (0 children) | Copy Link
It could be worse bois. If he had no kids this would have been the ultimate cuckery.
Regardless, how can you orbit a female like that as she gets old and washed up and then marry her after she finished her chad hunting.

Awww, that's such a sweet Brady Bunch scenario, I'm sure it'll be as wonderfully wacky and fulfilling as that t.v. series! Of course, the actor who played Mr. Brady was actually a homosexual, but whatever...
Not for me, dude...I was never going to raise another man's kid (and now I'm too damn old).

"my kids adore him and his kids have started calling me their step mom"
This is fine. They both had no choice.

Meh. Whatever keeps the damaged goods happy, I guess.
[–]kennytheslavic0 points1 point2 points (0 children) | Copy Link
So the kids were saying they saw her as a step mother because she was being a mother figure yet she wanted to end that shame the family they could of started man that hurts

"We were single long enough this isn't a rebound," hahaha who you trying to convince lady us or yourself. The delusion is strong in this whole fiasco.

The only way this could possibly be a good decision would be if she brings equal or greater financial resources and earning power to the table and has the same or less number of children. If they are pooling resources for the sake of the kids that is equal or tilted in his favor and both have realistic expectations MAYBE this isn't a train wreck. MAYBE...

This is a perfect example as to where logic was turned off and feelings was turned on.
(But seriously it’s weird having the girl propose to the guy and the guy accepting.)
