Both lawyers probably laughing thier ass off, let’s milk these 2 thots and clean that fund out before a judge can award it to one of them

And you know that both lawyers are egging their clients on, each saying that she deserves it all instead of coming to an agreement. At the end, both parties will get a shred of it while the lawyers walk off with the lion's share.

I see you’ve played the law game before.

It's a dirty game, ESPECIALLY in the case of pensions, alimony, and related matters

The classic example of this is the estate of William Jennens and the ensuing legal case Jennens vs Jennens (referenced by Dickens in Bleak House as Jandyce vs Jandyce). He died in 1798 (he made a 2nd Will but didnt sign it at his lawyer's office because he forgot his reading glasses, and then died hours later).
The estate was massive (200million+ in today's money) yet none of the family got access to the money. In 1915, after 117 years of legal bullshit the lawyers fees from both sides have consumed the entire ammount.
Edit - forgot to give a link

If I hated someone else enough, I'd rather the money be pissed into the wind than let my arch enemy have any of it. Sometimes it's about pure hatred.

The wife is going to have to spend a pretty penny on legal fees before she can get her claws on that pension.

“I don’t want anything to do with you anymore!!” Except for your hard earned pension, your half of assets and anything else I can get my claws on....
I’m owed!! Do you have any idea how much “emotional labor” I had to do over the years?!?!!?

where im from, ur wife is the default beneficiary of ur 401k, n it's illegal to change it without the signatuture of ur wife releasing herself as a beneficiary. Talk about gynocentrism to the max.

This narrows your location to "the United States". Pretty sure it's defined under the original ERISA federal law that laid out the 401k.

He knew his life would be shit because of the modern family court system.
So he chose to leave with the last laugh.
R.I.P.

The ultimate GYOW, one that only a man of true conviction can pull off.

Sad that he has to go that way. Hope karma strikes.

DO. NOT. EVER. GET. MARRIED.

Aren’t they sad that the dude fucking killed himself?
[–]lulz3r7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nah, all they care about is his money. Women don’t love men, they love what men provide. Even in death.

Nope. Clearly, nobody cares about the father.

Of course, the societal priority comes as fertile women > old women > kids > pets > males (old or young).

Shes so broken up that hes dead
[–]TimJohnsonIII2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Wow. That's what I'd do too if the same happened to me, but fortunately I was smart enough not to give a woman legal or financial control over my life through marriage. The dad did the only thing he could do to hit back.

The dad

should have left it to his kid, probably would be harder to fight/steal. or left in a trust for his child.
