Above all else I would encourage you to read the Bible under prayer (I'd start with the Gospels and just keep reading through the New Testament). God is the source of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10) and it is only through faith in Christ that we can be saved (John 3:16).

Conspiracy theories operate on the same level as religion; they are born from the human need to make order out of chaos or to explain the world around them to make themselves feel better (an uncertain state is very distressing to the human mind).

That said, I find it unlikely that a small group of humans could orchestrate anything on that scale, especially given the personality types that would even WANT to do something like that. To much pride, too much psychopathy.

Everything happening (and perhaps everything that ever happened) is a consequence of a prior direct or indirect action.

God -does- play dice with the universe, if it exists. What else are you going to do with eternity?
