why do you find it weird that men's rights supporters would be opposed to men's genitals being forcibly mutilated at our most defenseless stage of life?

It's mutilating an infants genitals without their consent. If for some fucked up reason they wish to have it done they can wait until they're 18 and chop the entire thing off if they like.

It's literally mutilation. The foreskin is there for a reason. It protects an area with a high density of nerve endings, just like nails do.

Also, there is absolutely no reason to chop it off. If we were living in the desert a few thousand years ago, when the existence of a foreskin and no water for cleaning increased chances of an infection, then yea. But now? There is no reason for it. It's a barbaric procedure that serves no purpose in most cases, and which should have been banned a long time ago.

Most men asking this same question have had this done to them and need the re assurance that nothing of value was taken from them and that their sexuality has not been diminished, that they were not victimized and their right to body integrity violated.

They will insist that "it has no detrimental effect" and "feels the same".

They are wrong, but it is hard for them visualize what was robbed from them, in the same sense that it would be hard for someone with monochrome vision to understand their loss when it comes to color.

Most studies concentrate in testing differences between natural v circumcised sensitivity for the remaining parts of the penis. They still find that natural, non keratinized penises are more sensitive, but not by a large margin.

What they miss is the extraordinary richness in sensation and types of sensations from the foreskin and frenum nerves that are largely/completely absent in circumcised men.

This would be like comparing monochrome vision v color vision only for common parameters and coming to the (correct but incomplete) conclusion that there is just a small loss in black and white luminance and resolution, but otherwise they are both the same, missing completely on color and on the larger ethical issue of babies being partially irreversibly blinded without their consent.

I will say this. My mom did apologize to me when she told me the story of it. My mom (RIP) was very gullible and believed what the doctor said might happen if I didn't get it done. She said she saw the procedure and apologized to me profusely.

Studies found it permanently changes the way the babies brain are wired. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it makes men more docile aka controllable so that's why they still do it. Plus the money. They charge you money to do the procedure than sell it to a company, you know they aren't doing it for your benefit.

What is there to think? Mutilation of babies because of magic person in the sky or because some woman said it looks better that way. It's one of the cruelest crimes a parent may commit to their child. Ignorance not an excuse.

Involuntary circumcision done for the sake of religion, simple conformity or any other pseudo-science is a barbaric practice IMO and has no place in modern society.

If an adult male wants to be circumcised for medical, personal or hygiene reasons, then fair enough. But until then, don't take that choice away from him, especially when he's at the most vulnerable age.

i chose to be circumcised as an adult for hygiene reasons, my for skin didn't always roll back properly and it hasn't effected any sensation when it comes too sex, though it did shrink by about an inch, i guess the pain of recovery made it retracted into my body a bit, over all i don't think it's a big deal but i don't see why you would do it to a baby unless there is a medical reason to do so.
