Testosterone is linked to increased assertiveness, and if you're more prone to aggression, you're more likely to act on it under the influence of testosterone (commit violence).

Of course, this shouldn't matter, because being aggressive does not mean you will lash out and kill the first person you'll come across for no reason, and we really can't continue to pretent women magically can't be aggressive, all things considered.

Estradiol, the most potent estrogen (female hormone) has also been linked to aggression (look it up if you want), in both males and females. Then there's, progesterone deficiency / estrogen dominance in females which is also characterized by mood swings and irritability. Lastly, you also have to consider the why's here. Specifically, at the end of the day, if men are more aggressive than women, isn't it also because we have to be, given the expectations that lie upon us and pressure to conform to them?

All in all, whenever someone blames all the evils of the world on testosterone, it should be a given they don't have a damn clue what they're talking about.

I am currently receiving Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for a pituitary gland problem. My body stopped producing it's own testosterone and caused many, many problems.

Saying that, I now share the testosterone levels of an eighteen year old. My aggression has decreased dramatically. My confidence is amazing, I sleep better, eat better, you name it. I feel my lack of testosterone caused me to overcompensate with aggression.

I know this is just my experience, I just thought I would share.

its bs !! what really happens is when you take T over the limits of your body its going to convert to E2 (estradiol) via aromatization and thats what make you angry and shit ... god i hate E2 !!!

Okay, now this is just getting silly.

There is a difference between gender equality and gender neutrality. A man is not just a woman with a pole and a woman is not just a man with a hole.

There are real, scientifically proven differences between men and women. This does not mean one is superior to the other or that the genders should necessarily be treated differently for most situations, but these differences should be acknowledged to exist, at the very least.

Typically, men are more aggressive than women. This is a fact, and it can be a good trait or a bad one depending on the situation.
