I hope they realize that the corollary is "wondering if there's some ineradicable submissive streak in the female subset of our species."

And I hope they realize how such an utterance would be received.

Quick: Tell me what movie, manner or set of mores that you've seen that says rape is cool. In fact, rape is a special kind of evil is so common in fiction it has its own trope.

Like most of these, it also ignores the growing market share of -women- watching/downloading porn. It focuses solely on the problem with men (I talked about this problem with the Demise of Guys before, and laziness prompts self-linkage.)

The author clearly doesn't get the military either: "The armed services are a special challenge, because they’re all about aggression." No. That's not what it is all about; war is politics by another mean, after all. 8/15/13, 10:07 AM

Human beings, both men and women, are meat eaters. There is a befanged predator in all of us. Historically, men have been responsible for most of the hunting, so it stands to reason that the visceral aspect of that predation is closer to the surface among them. It's existent among both genders, though. And just as easily controlled by an intelligent mind. It's not the predatory streak of humanity that is problematic. It is it's aversion to developing the intellect necessary to control that instinct and impulse.
