I understand the point. I'm sure it doesn't feel "right" having that happen at such a young age. But the biggest difference, if the roles were reversed is the lack of physical pain. Girls have to suffer both. And the "joking" plays a part too. Think about it, if you tell this to a stranger they may kid around and say "oh hey, that's kind of awesome". If it's a girl society will always look upon them with pity. In a sense the damage comes from how it gets portrayed by your peers. Not saying a woman cannot rape a young boy, but there is a clear difference in severity of long term trauma.

Reads like concern trolling to me. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
If we are talking statutory rape, ie consent was given but is invalidated, then both situations are equal in every way - an adult preys on a child. We aren't going to tell young girls that being raped is awesome to negate trauma, when we can instead prevent them from being raped and jail rapists.
Furthermore, "dude it's awesome that you got laid like that" doesn't alleviate anything. I wanted to scream at people that it wasn't awesome and i was afraid of what my body was doing and if they could please, for the love of god, shut up and stop high fiving me, but there's no point.
There is a well-documented deep personal conflict experienced women who got an orgasm from being raped: a strong dissociation between what you want and what your body wants, leading to losing trust in your body, guilt and self-hatred, often suicide attempts. Male body is no different, except a man is much more likely to achieve orgasm.
Not saying a woman cannot rape a young boy, but there is a clear difference in severity of long term trauma.
I don't know about you, but my peers (in high school at least) openly talked about how much they would like to screw our chemistry teacher, who was a handsome, rugged man in his late forties. Girls and boys are less different than you think.

Ok, I was molested by my sister. I did overcome it. This happened when I was a child, which really fucked up my development. Today, I'm happy, healthy, have a boyfriend I think I want to settle down with, and my parents know what happened, and have been loving and supportive.
