You have to be blind and deaf to consider that a surprise. Affirmative action and countless programs to get women into STEM are making sure of it - so much that discrimination often clearly swings in the opposite direction.

As I said before, feminists and SJWs like running past the finish line pretending it's still the start line.

A good example is people saying rape victims are never believed even though the moment someone says they were raped you have hundreds upon hundreds of people comforting them and immediately taking their word for it.

Surprisingly? Not for anyone that's been in STEM. I could write for days about all of the insane gender shit that happens. Today's edition: the professor who only hires women because since he started doing this, he hasn't been turned down for a single NSF grant (which is normally a 20% or less success rate)

According to their latest study, published Monday in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, women are no longer at a disadvantage when applying for tenure-track positions in university science departments.

In their most recent report, Williams and Ceci also argue that the belief that science is unwelcoming to women may be what keeps so many women out of the field.

Joan C. Williams, a distinguished professor at the University of California's Hastings College of Law and co-principal investigator for the Tools for Change project, which tries to level the playing field for women in STEM, told Inside Higher Ed that the Cornell study is "Seriously flawed" in its conclusion that science is now a welcoming place for women.

Well, it only makes sense tbh. STEM fields are generally more socially progressive than others, and they will want to be showing how progressive they are. I think it's a good premise that should be applied to all career fields, to show that really any career field can be occupied by anybody.
