Innocent male refugees fleeing conscription and execution are not considered vulnerable enough to get refugee status in Canada, but female rapists who might have to go to prison are...very sad.

I really want a man accused of statutory rape of a 16 year old to try fleeing to Canada, too. If they refuse to give him refugee status call them out on their bullshit.

Meanwhile by comparison, in the UK there's a footballer who completed his jail time and was released for being accused of rape, yet UK media has successfully led a campaign to stop him even ever playing football again, even though he is now free again. (transcripts show he went down on her after she asked after sleeping with his friend when they were all drunk. Next day she woke up, changed her mind and boom. Jail for the guy). So on one hand this guy has served his time and yet is stopped from getting the only work he is qualified for because he was found guilty of rape, on the other hand a woman who raped an underage person is being welcomed with open arms as a victim and given refugee status by feminist canada. i'm not sure what part of this story you're all not understanding...yes 30 yrs is too much BUT....she admitted to the abuse, prosecuters then offered her a plea deal, 2 yrs....she refused and insisted on a trial. obviously she was banking on being treated lightly by the courts because of her gender. the judge was pissed and gave her the max. THAT'S why she got 30 yrs.

30 years is a bit crazy, but there is probably a double standard at play here.

Even swinging from 2 years to the max is unjustifiable, even if I agree with the Judge that she should have gotten more time for pulling that shit, she shouldn't have gotten the max for it.
