A petard is an old school breaching charge (door or wall). "Hoisted by your own petard" meant to be thrown into the air from the explosion from the charge you intentionally or accidentally set off.
It wasn't something that you were upon... the saying is much darker than that.

It is logical. According to the sidebars: r/feminism is about equal rights for women. r/mensrights is about equal rights for men. We're all feminists and men's rights activists if we actually believe that, since equal rights for men and women is the best equality ever.
It's the female supremacists and male supremacists on either side who are sexist.

I don’t think I’ve seen you asked about that before… I got asked in one of my first interviews: “Is Arya a feminist?” I didn’t even know what a feminist was. You were like 12! And then someone explained it to me. And I remember thinking, “Isn’t that just like everyone?” And then I realized everyone is not a feminist, unfortunately. But I also feel like we should stop calling feminists “feminists” and just start calling people who aren’t feminist “sexist” – and then everyone else is just a human. You are either a normal person or a sexist. People get a label when they’re bad. Because it works the other way, as well. A lot of men have it hard too. On the show specifically, it’s always been a constant debate because women are treated badly on the show, and they’re treated well on the show.

Look she was 12. She heard the definition of feminism:

If the emphasis it wants not contradict itself (equality of the sexes), then in theory it can't further women's rights and interests beyond men's. Or at least, it would not fight against men catching up. I don't want to assume the worst about a teenage girl first hearing about something, and having nor experience about it. So I think it is safe to say, that if she heard this definition or something simplified (equality for women), she concluded that who goes against those principles, is sexist. I may be biased, because if I don't count sexual attraction, Arya is my favorite character in GoT. Else Ygritte.
I think that most of feminism is now a supremacist movement. Obviously quotas to have more women in certain fields despite having the same opportunities is a privilege, since if there is not enough women interested, someone will be grabbed from the street. And takes the place from someone who could achieve that position on his own. Tax benefits are other sign of privilege. DV shelters, Duluth model, genital mutilation, (maybe even alimony) are also part of female privilege. And so is abortion, because abortion is not only a female right, but a privilege. A privilege to decide whether you want to be a parent, or not.

I deleted my Facebook account because of it. Someone posted it, I saw how many of my Facebook friends liked it, I started to make a comment, then stopped myself and decided I was done with Facebook.

The thing with this post is its giving the wrong context on what Masie was saying. We here all think feminists are the scum of the world, Masie was talking about the normal feminists the ones who fight for actual women's issues, not the plague of rats known as modern day bra burners.
