Sorry, Carlson and his son are wrong, and so are you. If you insult me at the grocer's, it doesn't entitle me to strike you. And if you insult my wife at the grocer's, that's even less a ground for me to strike you. Striking anyone is criminal in all cases; offence is not grounds.

It is grounds for my wife to object to the grocer and for the grocer to ask the offending customer to leave. Similarly, the Carlson daughter should have reported the matter to club management.

That is, assuming she's telling the truth. You did assume that, didn't you? You know the definition of assume, don't you?

And what is the weasel meaning of "verbally attacked"? Attack does imply physical, not verbal - committed by Carson Jr, not by the insulter.

Edit: It's been reported the daughter is nineteen years old. That's an adult, not a girl. She should be fighting her own battles, not running to papa or brother to have them physically "confront" her enemies.

How come "women are so powerful" and at the same time an adult woman not powerful enough to handle her own matters, but must resort to having a male family member criminally assault a fellow whose words she dislikes?

White-knighting puts men in competition to do women's bidding and receive female approval.

Carlson's son should not have "confronted" anyone at all; he did not witness the objectionable behaviour and so has no right to assert such knowledge. Since Carlson's statement admits the son threw a glass of wine in another's face, the son should be prosecuted for assault. That's not an acceptable way to respond to the (unidentified) club member's rudeness.

Instead, Carlson's daughter is old enough to have herself made a direct complaint to club management about the other member's uncouth behavior. Carlson's son and Carlson himself are teaching her the wrong lesson - when offended, get one man to confront another.

This is as disgusting as all white knighting and its typical characteristic of female honour or female hurt feelings becoming grounds for one man to attack another physically, when the proper behaviour for a female with a valid complaint is to take it directly to an appropriate authority (such as the club management).

White knighting gets men killed. And the media may omit the white knight origins of much violence. As an example, here is a case of a female inducing fatal violence between males:

Training young women to want or encourage white knighting starts early; Carlson should (but won't) understand that.

By the way, why does MR hamstring itself with so many meta-debates about "Is this an MR issue or not?" The feminists, apparently more shrewd than MRAs, have no hesitation in turning every question of gender dynamics into condemnation of men and patriarchy.

The fuck are you talking about? This isn't some rando slag on the street. The kid was standing up for is sister. If you want to let someone verbally abuse your family while you cower in the corner, that's your business. Good on Tucker's son for protecting his sister, and I suppose good on him for showing more restraint then some of us would have.
