While There is no difference in what the different genders earn based on hours and experience, there is a gender pay gap as women earn less than men (through working easier/lower paying jobs and fewer hours). This is an issue, women need to be encouraged to compete on an even playing field, and encouraged to go into higher paying fields, more dangerous jobs, and work more hours. It would also follow that men need to be given more leeway for child care - human wallet status revoked, he might be given paternity leave, default shared custody, etc... everybody gains rights, the gap begins to close.

That, of course, is not what he means... but simply stating a desire to close the pay gap isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

It's stupid, but he has to go through the motions on this to win the motion. Don't take it too seriously. If anything any motion against gender discrimination he passes we can use against the feminists when they push to give bonuses only to women sort of nonesense
