I came aware of this the hard way.

Long story short: In grad school, the woman I was dating swapped homework for certain classes that we had in common. She did some of my homework and I did some of hers.

There was this one professor for whom I wrote both papers-- basically the same content-- and my girlfriend ended up with a higher grade each time. I would get a B+ and she would get an A- or I'd get a B and she'd get a B+. I even threw a few intentional grammar mistakes into her papers, it didn't make a difference.

There’s this new “binder “ thing in elementary school where EVERYTHING goes in a 3 ring: this include math homework, tests, everything. And if it can’t be home punched, then it must be pasted on to piece of loose leaf.

Of course little girls love that sh!t and good for them. But my son, a math whiz, was failing the class because he didn’t make his notebook perfect. She wouldn’t grade his stuff because she didn’t think that notebook was nice enough

First, the notebook is because the teacher found it easier and with all of her volunteer work, she didn’t have time to mess with different stacks of paper and then compile the grades or some other weird excuse she gave. Hey! Sounds like you may need a different job

Second. Go ahead...fail him in art, glue and scissor but his math, history and English are impeccable so F is not appropriate

Third: it’s failing him for not being feminine enough

I got him into a good class with a real teacher.

This has been happening for a very long time, at least in my experience.

My 6th grade English teacher (mid-90s) had an obvious bias against me. My mother, a teacher herself with a Masters in English, got sick of it and wrote my essay assignment for me. She said it was grad school level material. He gave it a 'C'.

When confronted with this and the principal present, he claimed that he knew she wrote it and marked it down because of it. He also said that he was going to fail me and that I'd have to go to summer school. My mother responded with "Fine. He'll go to summer school, get straight A's and make you look like an idiot."

I did.

Even when male issues are acknowledged, they try to turn it into a fucking female issue, because everything is always about them. And no, this does not hurt girls. In fact, girls are privileged in higher ed and in the workplace too.
