Not exactly sure why it's posted in this subreddit. I guess it's good to see that a woman gets a similar sentence to what a man would get?

I am sorry, 30 freakin' years is a ridiculous sentence. I should think a year, max, would be appropriate. We are returning to a vengeful, puritanical society of reactionaries.

Being that she isn't a real danger to society, the punishment she's to face, even on the lower end of the spectrum, seems excessive. Still, intervention is appropriate, as while incest involving adults ought not be illegal (unfortunate a choice as it may be), the necessary imbalance of power between a minor child and their parent is such that the former cannot issue genuine consent.

And my opinion as to the appropriate punishment would be the same regardless of the gender skew.
