I figured if Blue Pill can bring up movies for their views, why can't I bring up politics? Are international relations any less relevant than fictional ones?

Anyways, the point I wanted to bring up here was Ukraine, as we should all know by now when Ukraine overwhelmingly voted for independence from the USSR, they were left with a decent supply of nuclear weaponry and the expertise and materials to make more.

However Ukraine gave those up, they embraced the principle of "vulnerability" something that the BP likes to wax poetic about, and in return for this their territorial integrity was assured by 5 nations.

Except that it wasn't, their territory of Crimea was gobbled up by one of the pact nations Russia, while the other major signor (The United States) looked the other way as Russia threatens the Ukraine's entire eastern border.

Nobody cares to fight because of Russia's military power (Mutually assured destruction), or because of its economic/supply power (good luck finding gas supplies on short notice Europoors ;D).

Honestly what I'm seeing here is a macrocosm of what goes on in individual relations/individual relations with the state. There is often no respect without power. and because of this men shouldn't blindly engage with either government or women without some kind of leverage.

If all you're getting from either is promises, you have to take those promises for what they really are....empty words. TRP recognizes that and encourages becoming a better person, but also defense, defense in the form of avoiding marriage in most situations, getting ironclad prenups (many a redpiller has been shutdown by lawyer users for wanting unenforceable clauses in their contracts), etc.

BP embraces vulnerability, and aye vulnerability will get you applause in some circles.... vulnerability and blind trust will get you the respect of leftists who will claim that you are "secure".... but when you get screwed like our friend the Ukraine here. :P Who will stand by you? If you do not protect yourself, who will?

Also daily reminder that while Ukraine is being invaded, North Korea a much more terrible nation still stands, Iran thrives and Pakistani aid is still being defended by the lovable warhawks, the Republicans.

Iran and North Korea come to mind. Why would either country now give up nuclear capabilities for a pinky promise of non-aggression?

Like it or not, international respect is equivalent to your nuclear stockpile. Take North Korea as an example; Ukraine is Disney World compared to that country when it comes to poverty, corruption and human rights violations. But, no one has ever suggested invading North Korea because Kim Jong-un is crazy and sits on a nuclear arsenal. Why do you think he keeps testing them? To show the world he has them.

But there are those in the US government who want to invade Iran. Why? Because they don’t have nuclear weapons capability yet and we want to stop them before they have the same leverage as North Korea.
