Definitely. They can be convenient at times, but the insurance/maintenance/gas costs, the traffic, the struggle to find a parking spot, make them a poor alternative to public transport, bikes, or taxis/Uber for city living. Depending where you live, of course.

My workday cannot be done with walking or bus. If a college kid can walk 3 blocks to the same place every day, or a young professional can bus across downtown for work, that's wonderful. My work is in the opposite corner of the city and I'm not sitting on a bus 3 hours a day for anybody.

Sure, like I said it's different if you actually need it. It also depends on where you live, some places would be very hard to navigate without a car. I'm fortunate to live in a medium-sized town with good public transportation / taxi network and quite a lot of things within walking distance.
Add up how much money you're spending on services you're using to maneuver, I guarantee it will add up to at least a car payment.
My relative has to do that. Big law firm. Has to commute 2 hours a day.

Yes. Not only have I had women have an absolute breakdown over a simple act of common curtesy such as holding open a door, I have had that happen more times than any women has held one open for me. I’m 52 and I can tell you the last time a woman held a door open for me. 2 years ago, spring, Panera Bread. Total times a woman has gone out of her way to hold a door open for me as an adult: 7.
When women expect men to do it for them, but never return it and never expect other women to do it... that is servitude. It’s women expecting men to basically be their butler. Half of women expect it, half have a mental breakdown over it.
Oh, I do want to make one thing clear. I really should say American women. I’ve never had a woman from south east asia have a mental breakdown over basic human curtesy or being politely. For sure I can admit strides are being made and give credit where it’s due, but there’s still room for improvement. There’s a nuance to “rights” as in it goes beyond legal and into societal gender stereotypes. But there’s no point in arguing on some issues because both sides won’t be swayed.
Sure, the last sentence is true.
Example1: Women get 60% of University degrees and are doing better financially than young men entering the work force. If women are doing this well now, can we start hiring based on merit again? Or do we still need "quota hiring" and affirmative action? Does every supervisor and manager need to be female for there to be equality? Is a team "not diverse" enough if it has more than one white male in it?
Example2: Women are dominating in the health care field from top to bottom. No, the women are not all nurses, or janitors. They are doctors and surgeons and they are in management and government roles as well. Do we need to do some quota hiring to get at least 50% men in health care? If not, then why do we need 50% or more of the people in STEM jobs to be women?
There are affirmative action hiring quotas for men in education, social care and Vet sci.
