I agree that a person's attitude towards dating is very important, and it's good to stay away from people that hold negative or bitter views towards the opposite sex if you're trying to date.

However, the source of the bitter views and negativity are still there, and ignoring the suffering don't make suffering go away. I advise against dating people like this, because it's not fair for one partner to essentially play therapist and parent to someone else and take on the burdens of their trauma.

But from a society and human perspective, I think it's a bit cruel to invalidate someone for being hurt before and acting in line with how the world treated them. It's like a mental health version of the rich getting richer.

At the same time, some of these people are difficult and exhausting to talk to, and I admit often I just want to ignore them too. But I wish there is a better support system for them.

Hear a person expressing frustration about dating or the opposite sex? Run away, they can’t help you. They can’t even help themselves.

By the same logic, you coulld say "Hear a person expressing frustration about <insert religion here>? Run away, they can't help you.".

If your goal is to find the most rational position, then you should listen to the best religious people and the best atheists and choose which ever makes the most sense. Blocking out one side of the debate is just being wilfully ignorant.

That's how it works with relationships. If a person expresses frustration with dating or marriage then you should listen to them and consider their points, just as you should listen to and consider the points of people who expresses satisfaction with dating or marriage. This can potentially save us from speeding headfirst into a brick wall.

I’m here to tell you that dating is still great post 30 years old.

For some. A reasonable intelligent person would acknowledge that different people have different experiences with dating. Everyone should consider their position and make choices for themselves about their own dating life and not prescribe to fanciful claims.

Next time you read a post, ask yourself how you think the author’s dating life is going.

And consider how similar you are to them and how likely it is that you will repeat their mistakes. This is learning from the failures of others, and also a sign of not being dumb.

Instead take advice from people who have only ever had it easy dating and have good experiences? That is absurd. It is like thinking a 150 IQ person who gets all A's is going to do a better job at explaining a school subject better than someone who has experienced struggles and knows what the students are going through. Not to mention how much the halo effect means a person is going to get into a feedback loop where they start with good easy experiences and will keep getting those because of their looks. You know who you should take dating advice from? The below average person who has the most success not the person who was born looking like a god/goddess they never had to put an effort into dating.

Forget the negativity. I’m here to tell you that dating is still great post 30 years old. There are wonderful people out there, tons of opportunities, and fun experiences to be had.

The reason dating gets easier for men after 30 is because women realize oh god the hot guys who used to plow me till I was cross eyed are not calling me back anymore and I need a financial bailout and kids so they lower their standards to now where they are willing to date their looks match.

Guys, don't listen to this author, based on this one example he clearly deserves to live in a prison for the rest of his life.
