I don't know this creator and have never watched her. There is a lot of benefit to surrounding yourself with people and consuming media that supports your values. I think it is also important to be able to discern which parts to take with you and what to leave when viewing any content creator. You shouldn't blindly accept the views of anyone who is an influencer or celebrity, because, I mean come on. They are doing this to make money, and they have an image they are portraying, above all else. They are real people, not perfect examples to base your life on. Even people who may not share all your values may have important things to teach you.

She may have the perspective on modesty that she has SPECIFICALLY because she’s done the opposite and seen the other side. Her past doesn’t discredit her views now, it might make them even more valuable because she’s been through it before. You ultimately have to decide if that’s a deal-breaker for you, or if you can appreciate her willingness to change, and to advocate for what she knows will help other women.

That's unfortunate. I've run across her videos before and enjoyed her demeanor.

With anyone, "take the good, leave the bad" applies. I certainly accept influence from MANY people - whether they're content creators, or the far more influential personal friends - with whom I have disagreements and see flaws. Hypocrisy can be a common one for content creators as they listen to outside pressures; in this case the pressure to continue making conservative content and the pressure to do "what it takes" in the modeling industry have collided. What's "really her" is hard to say. Maybe she'll have a reckoning over this as she realizes the community she has built has values she herself has not been consistently practicing, and she'll be forced to choose some kind of harmonization, or choose to maintain the double-image to suit the economic pressure.

I don't think you have to throw out the baby with the bathwater, but this is a good lesson about seeing people whose personal lives you don't know as a role model.

As far as I know, Jasmyne hasn't always held the views she does know, and was somewhat liberal leaning a couple years back? If she was modeling it's natural that she would have these pictures in her portfolio and as far as I'm aware, she's just making YouTube content and being a SAHM now. I don't know where she would stand on her past modeling portfolio but I certainly wouldn't hold it against her. I also got the impression that she doesn't have a super restrictive idea of modesty.

Hi girl! If it helps, I’m pretty sure Jasmyne said these photos were taken before she was saved! I think she said that the people and friends she met in the modeling industry influenced her a bit into exploring new age spirituality, which then left her heart ultimately catapulted into desiring to find her Creator and true purpose in Christianity! 💓 So based on the timeline, since modeling was a stepping stone to her salvation, as well as her desire to be modest and to promote modesty, I think all modeling in outfits that she would not want her daughter to wear when she is a young adult/Jasmyne’s age, were taken before she was saved.

I don't think feminism has been that toxic as you make it out to be. What about all those wives that have been financially abused by their husbands? The other aspect you have to look at is that most men nowadays don't have the financial means to become full providers even if they wanted to.

Full text: In the last few months I (19f) have been watching tradwife and feminine energy content creators. After growing up around feminism and seeing how damaging it is to society, I realized in order to be happy and fulfilled, I need to become a submissive, feminine woman to attract a man with strong Christian values.

I’ve been following Jasmyne Theodora for a while now and she inspired me to pursue this journey of being a feminine, submissive woman. However, the other day, I watched a video from her titled “we need to talk about modesty”. When I was reading the comments, someone posted a link to her modeling portfolio with semi nude modeling pictures (bra and panties). She ended up making the video private. I’m really disappointed because like I said, I looked up to her. But this whole situation makes me feel like she’s a hypocrite and only seeking views while still trying to have a modeling career that goes against everything she says she stands for. Should I continue to watch her? Is she a good example?

We all make mistakes, and we all compromise on our values at some point or another… for good reasons, or for bad. Someone was obviously trying to out and discredit her… and it seems that they were successful, if that’s all it took for you to flip on her! By turning on one of the few women online who preaches modesty, temperance, and femininity… you’re letting this poster trying to tear her down win.

I find that it’s usually easier and kinder to everyone involved (including yourself and your time/sanity) to take people on social media at face value. If you like her channel and what she’s saying… by all means! Keep listening and learning and enjoying! If you dig too deep into anyone’s past, you’ll find something that they did which doesn’t reflect their values today. I don’t do a full background check on every influencer I follow… but I do carefully weigh the tone and message of what they are saying/influencing today, against my own set of beliefs. And if they are misaligned, I’ll unsubscribe! But not over something dredged up, which was clearly designed to embarrass and defame this influencer, and is obviously misaligned worn her values today.

Have no idea who she is but from my brief search, doesn’t seem like she makes bad content. Based on what you’ve stated I wouldn’t stop watching because it doesn’t automatically mean she isn’t putting out truths. That’s tu quoque. But take everything you see online with a grain

Those photos are pretty old. She only converted semi-recently so this doesn't mean that she's disingenuous. It means that she did something in the past that now is not conducive with her current values. She may have not wanted to bring up the modeling stuff because she doesn't identify with it anymore. If you don't want to watch her anymore, no big deal but I wouldn't discredit her on her past alone. She may not have power over editing her portfolio.
