Intro

Last friday on the 26th, I got into contact with a girl of interest. Same day I planned for a meetup at the mall, which was today. Now, I tell her 12:30 p.m. She told me she couldn't go unless she brought a friend along. Couldn't care less about the friend, so ok.

Body

I was setting up a meet by the mall in the area. Everybody goes there to chill. I couldn't think of anywhere else within the area, so the mall it was. It's 12:30, I'm already there. She's not there when I want her to be.

Now, your average Joe would begin to get worried and wonder if she flaked on him. "What happened? What did I do wrong?"

I just text her and ask if she's here yet. Takes her a while to respond, so I go to subway to get something to eat. I meet one of my school mates as she's working there and gives me an italian sandwich. I have a convo with her and eat my food, so I'm chill and relaxed.

I get a text telling me how her ride is unavailable right now and how she'll try to make it. But I knew she wouldn't. So I text a backup and see if she's available. Haha, nope. Now your AFC would be discouraged the whole rest of the day. But not I, so I decide to make the best of the situation.

I walk around the mall, and meet a few new people. I sit down and after while, an older mexican male comes and sits next to me. I introduce myself, as does he. And I'm thinking "Isn't this a perfect time to practice your spanish?"

So I go and do that shit. I was really enjoying myself, too. I seen some other people from school and met his family. Other mexicans came by as well and we all had a fun talk. I spend the rest of my time talking to them and everything is just fine and dandy.

Now as I leave, I decide to respond to her text and say "its cool. maybe sum other time." She swears she'll be available next sunday, so I set the date for next sunday, same time.

Conclusion

This isn't much of a field report, but more like a redpill example. Any other guy would have been upset the rest of the day and act in a more pessimistic manner. But I went out, met new people, and enjoyed myself.

Lessons

If something you expect to happen doesn't even come close to happening, make the best out of the situation. Have fun regardless.

TL;DR

The day didn't go as planned, but still enjoyed the time spent there anyway.
