If her comments had been about how tragic it was that children were being murdered by women, or how we need to stop black people from committing so many murders, would you be saying "well hold on guys, infanticide and murder are very serious issues, and all you can be concerned about is a little misogyny and/or racism?"

Yeah, it sucks that 9 year olds are being sexualized, but we aren't commenting on that because that's not the point of contention. Everyone agrees that that's bad. It's also kinda a separate issue from whether it's fair to say things like "men ruin everything," and borderline asserting that pedophilia is an exclusively male problem." Are we not allowed to argue against her assertions about men? We just have to concede that men are bad because why exactly? Because a 9 year old was sexualized? Can't we have time for both? Even if one is more obviously tragic?

Everyone else accepted in polite society agrees that pedophilia is bad, but no one else but us is willing to defend men. If we don't, no one will. So that's why we're focusing on critiquing her misandry, because unlike pedophilia, misandry is publicly acceptable, even though it's tearing our society apart.

I like how you're entire point to this conversation is just trying to come up with literally every excuse to try and justify what the woman in the post is saying. You aren't even helping the situation instead of denying the truth that both genders can have pedophile tendencies you'd rather just make it worse by fighting it. It's noth that fucking hard to agree that both genders are capable of some horrible shit. People are upset at the post because she's saying that all men and only men have these tendencies. And to answer your last question I can remember a few instances at my own high school even had a case where a female teacher was having sex with a child. And also another teacher was fired because a girl lied and said the history teacher had been sending her dick pics and trying to do things with her, he lost his wife his home etc. And to find out she lied (I know this because I knew her and she literally bragged about it often).

She’s not ‘the’ woman calling this shit out. A zillion people have called this out. And it’s absolutely given by everyone here that paedophilia is evil. Her new contribution is to repeatedly and explicitly demonise men as a whole over it. Concern trolling? Likewise, we can use the same specious nonsense to say “Why is your problem here with the people who have a problem with both paedophilia and this blatant hatred of a gender?” It’s because you spend different times of day on different concerns and interests, or you’d never chat to a friend about dessert but spend 100% of your time as an aid worker in Ethiopia or something. Likewise we can talk about this.

Don’t pretend that if the shoe weren’t on the other foot you’d blink. A celebrity making a dumb joke or using the wrong word and getting misinterpreted on Twitter routinely hits the news above mass murders and civil wars going on in the world, so come on.
