Couldn't sleep last night so I turned this on since I'm a Sherlock Holmes fan... What a huge mistake. Spoilers ahead.

The 18-20 yo main character is a Mary Sue, played by the girl from Stranger Things, named Enola which is "alone" backwards, initially implying she's named that because she doesn't need a man which they later explicitly state is the reason. She basically treats all the men in the movie like shit, especially the main male character who of course is only interested in flowers, but is part of the oppressive patriarchy, those deserving to be belittled and both emotionally and physically abused by her. Every comment to him is an insult, and one one point after she calls him a boy and he objects she says "you're a man when I tell you you're a man".

The plot of the movie is literally about feminism and women's suffrage in England, and destroying the patriarchy. Every male character is either evil/patriarchy or totally emasculated. She's able to take down a grown male assassin in hand-to-hand combat which is ironic considering the actress seems incapable of performing even the simplest stunts herself. And she's able to outsmart her brother Sherlock Holmes, who seems to be incapable of keeping up with her on any cognitive level.

Don't waste your time with this movie.
