The no support for white men sounds illegal especially if not a majority group. If a white male suffering from mental health issues, stress, financial issues etc is blocked from support it sounds like discrimination.

It's actually treble discrimination.

Not only are they saying that a white male is worse at being a leader inherently due to his perceived gender and ethnicity, it is also saying that those who are perceived female and / or of Black And Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds are inherently better than those who are perceived to be white males.

In order to point the absurdity of these arguments out, think about the following...

Which ( based on their words) inherently make better leaders,

a BAME man, or a white woman?
A BAME man or a BAME woman, given the woman would seem to have double advantage, based on both perceived gender and perceived ethnicity.

Additionally, the arguments would indicate another discriminatory belief

that BAME people have to make better leaders than white men, in other words, they would be expected to have to meet much higher standards of leadership than a white man in the same position.

This is actually feeding into and supporting the idea of white privilege.

Document everything and every interaction afterwards on a confirmation email (bcc to your personal email). Routinely back up your email files to a portable hard drive. Never be alone with a female from work. Anywhere or anytime. Do your work. Be competent. I’ve been doing this for a while now … like 20+ years. Pulling big $$ with a leadership role. I never believed in one thing they say. It’s lies and bs. Spin for sharemarkets. But shit they pay awesome for my skill set. When I leave I will scorch earth with some hard truths… backed up by saved email, texts and even an audio recordings of senior leaders being honest about all the woke agendas.

I work at a place that id rather not specify because well *reddit* and we are mostly apolitical leaning slightly conservative in the sense that our HR director rolled their eyes the first time they saw an applicant come in with pronouns listed. We have some left leaning individuals and they put their pronouns on their tags/emails and one changed their name but otherwise nobody really cares so long as everyone works hard and gets along

If that happened then did you documment it? Because if they actualls said that then you have an obligation to take them court and collect a ton of money for your efforts. If you have documentation of what you described then it would be a 100% guaranteed win in court - lawyers would be tripping over themselves to take your case on commission... if it actually happened that way, which I doubt.

I suspect your employer said something more nuanced that you misinterpreted. Like maybe they said "diversity makes us stronger and since certain groups are underrepresented in leadership we have initiatives in place to reduce bias in highering/promotion by ensuring a representative distribution in our higher ranks". Which is not the same thing, and which is 100% legal. But if they didn't, if they actually said what you claim, then you have an obligation to punish them: take a recording of this to an employment lawyer and start planning for a comfortable early retirement.

If this was their exact wording then call a lawyer because it doesn't get more hostile than that.

They have created support groups for every conceivable identity group except for men and/or one for white people, this means white men are the only group in the company without a support group, even though our company is 70% women.

You're likely not banned from participating in those groups even if you're a white man. My company has groups geared towards minority employees and there's tons of white workers that participate. To be clear it's not like AA style support groups, it's generally groups that provide training, opportunities to volunteer, advance career...

I've been trying to understand how the company leadership can support this then I realized there is no downside to them supporting wokism since there is no upside of supporting white men.

If it was a public company then DEI initiatives might have been a part of obligations from shareholder votes. Some DEI initiatives also aren't bad since many studies show that too many people in a room making decisions who have the same views and backgrounds can cause problems.

Look the reality is that being black, female, hispanic, trans...doesn't make you a more capable leader or worker. However, historically it does mean that you would have been excluded from certain opportunities. For the most part DEI isn't meant to exclude white males but it does create lots more competition for them. If we're being honest, more competition is never good for those who can't compete.

FWIW my company has a target of something like 40% female representation in senior leadership positions over the next decade. They're not trying to accomplish this by firing white men. They're doing it by identifying women in the company, getting them mentoring, providing training for them, discussing career paths...While some of the programs are women only there are generally alternatives for men. The working theory is that if you go from 5 to 100 qualified women for 10 jobs then you're more likely to find women you can hire.

The sort answer is no, there are no companies that aren't going woke. The reason this is happening is because of the banks. They place Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) requirements on their lines of credit. Under the Social aspect companies are given a score based on their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. If that score drops below a certain threshold they lose their line of credit. No company can afford to lose their line of credit because they need it for their day-to-day operations.

People deserve to be recognized for the value they add, regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation.

However, singling out and hobbling any particular subset of people is not the solution; it’s just quid pro quo, and is a detriment to the success of the company.

This is a for profit company, not a Sesame Street skit. They’ve jumped the shark. I say that as a fairly liberal person.

I remember that a lot of people justified actions of people who didn't act to support someone in the moment of need but saying - "survival instinct". And how it was somehow justified to wait on the sidelines.

And my answer to that was not what most people will like. Someone has to raise the stakes to the level that the people don't remain silent and it happened.
