IQ, or rather, the ability to see patterns is (for the most part) genetic. What you can do, however, is improve the overall function of your brain. There are some general guidelines to this over on the Nootropics subreddit, go check em out.

IQ is somewhat ambiguous in society.

Part of it is actual genetic talent. Another part of it is having learned the basic shit that middle-upper class society considers useful. Kind of a barrier-to-entry thing, where mediocre minds can then claim to have above-average IQ and feel special. These parts are often conflated.

Focus instead on Wisdom. Learn the major models that drive whichever system(s) you happen to be studying. Get in the habit of 'seeing' those models when you look at a system. You don't have to be a genius when you understand a system, and others don't.

IQ isn't that important. Expertise can be built in many skills through practice and training.

The best practice is consistent practice. There is the 10 000 hour rule for becoming a world class expert in any field. (takes about 10 years dedicated training)

There is also little crossover between activities. Roger Federer is not an expert ping pong player. So choose what you want to be good at because you can't choose everything.

If the score is what you want to increase then practice taking the IQ tests. Also listening to Mozart's music can increase your IQ by few points.

Why the fuck you care about IQ? You think being smart is good? I'll tell you what. The normal condition of being unhappy in humans is even more pronounced in those that are considered smart by society. What people call smart is a mix of being extremely curious and interested in a particular field and having logical and mind spatial abilities. Being smart often makes you question everything, without having any answers, and this brings you to emptiness and depression. I don't fucking believe that people who made history with their scientific discoveries were happy. Sometimes it's better to have your eyes covered rather than burning them with light.
