It's never too late to change. Fix your diet, lift heavy weights, apply some self-respect and light dread game... And things will be going much better for you.
Also, there's no such thing as an "alpha" or a "beta," we're all a mix of different dominant (masculine) and submissive (feminine) traits, and it's up to you to figure out your own path and make it work. Everyone's personality is different, some are louder and some say less words. Be the best version of yourself, be proud of who you are and what you're doing, and you'll be rocking it in no time.

OP, follow this advice. I couldn’t say it any better.

Thank you for this. I think a big mug of self respect is most definitely needed. My eyes are still being opened, and what I do next was a bit fuzzy. But now I’m starting to see the goals I want to hit

I'd look at yourself from the third person - if you were reading the story of your life, what would you want to happen next?
Watch or re-watch American Beauty. It's thought provoking enough for your situation. "It's never too late to get it all back."
Great movie. Maybe I need to watch it again!

Head over to the married redpill sub, plenty of older marreid guys unplugging there.
You can still get the life you want.

Honestly your situation doesn’t sound that bad. You have solid financials and a couple young sons to raise. Continue improving yourself and you might be surprised to see how your wife changes. If she doesn’t, you’ll know what to do- the hard part will be doing it.
