The answer is they are beneficial if you find them to be beneficial.

That being said, I do not really think of my friendships in general as beneficial as in “what can you do for me.”

They are beneficial in the sense that I enjoy friends company and that is a benefit to me as it enriches my life.

If you can be friends with a woman and not be an emotional tampon or some other net negative, go right ahead.

I, at 36 years old, have found it to be EXTREMELY rare that members of the opposite sex are “just friends”.

I have 1 female friend. We’ve been friends since the 9th grade. Of allllll the women I’ve been friends or acquaintances with, only 1 has lasted platonically.

I personally don't see any benefit to a platonic friendship with a woman. They don't seem to have any redeeming characteristics, and I find most of them to be virtue signalling, foul-mouthed and outright insufferable (in the context of a "friendship"). What can you get from a female friend that you can't get from a male friend?

Do you want female friends or do you want pussy? Because you’re framing it as if you want them to fuck or you want them to throw their friends your way.

If you feel like they use you then they’re not your friends, just girls you know.

Female friends as I’ve got older have been mightily beneficial. Imo if you see them as a friend from the jump then they can’t or won’t use you as a tampon.

However if you declare your love for them or they can sense you’re a simp for them then yes they will use as the emotional support their boyfriend isn’t supplying.

No doubt having female friends is a bonus. They can be a great pre selection assessment. They can help bridge the gap in opening, the can help in social skills.

My last girl was introduced to me by a female friend. I have no attraction towards her (my friend) whatsoever, she and I have a group of friends that frequently hang out and go to pubs and bars. Beneficial for sure

Yeah, this is because they think OTHER women want a nice guy, but they themselves want a hot guy. This is because they believe each other's bullshit even though they say it themselves.

Personally I think they’re good for hearing red pills straight out of the horses mouth without being emotionally invested in them.

If they benefit you socially, great.

If they set you up with their friends, great.

If they make you look good, great.

Don't be their emotional tampon. Laugh at their problems and tell them to cheer up or "stop crying, get out there and get laid". Trivialise their problems and laugh about them. This will cheer them up and make you more attractive. No more emotional tamponing: you hate it, and they secretly hate you for it.

Don't expect real friendship unless it happens. Don't invest in them. Don't do things for them. Call them friends, but remember to be as shitty a friend as you possibly can be.

The age old debate here. I would say if you like them and they're attractive why not fuck them. And if you're not fucking them, are they getting you laid? Women typically make notoriously bad friends, women are friends up until they find a guy to get married to then ghost. I haven't read a convincing argument for it otherwise here in years, most of the time it's guys who are stuck in the friend zone and trying to justify holding their purses. If you are indeed the top choice, she's not going to pass you off to a friend, she's going to fuck you.
