Red Pill has a lot of bad ideas, and thinking in terms of sexual market value is mostly very unhealthy and dehumanizing.

With that said, it's not wrong. Most people pretend that how good looking people are is entirely subjective, but if you have 1000 people stack rank the attractiveness of people, or assign them attractiveness numbers, it's not just noise, the same people are consistently rated more or less attractive. In this sense, one person can be "objectively" more good looking than another. They are going to be more attractive to more people.

And there is no doubt that some people are more desirable on the "dating market" than others, and that they are more likely to get dates, less likely to get rejected, etc. And it is true that how good looking you are, as well as other factors (which are different for men and women) impacts this. Your "market value" goes up a if there's a noticeable shortage of people of your gender for example.

The really important thing, IMO, is that how good looking you are doesn't indicate your value as a human being. Unattractive people are just as valuable and worthy of love as attractive people.

And also that forming meaningful relationships has little to nothing to do with your SMV. The only sense in which it matters is if you want to be someone who's having weekly one night stands or something. In that case, having a high SMV is going to be something you need to do that, but it's a pretty shallow thing to want to be able to do in the first place.

These are my thoughts about the (imaginary) sexual market (from a woman's perspective):

What a load of BULLSHIT!!!!!!! Let’s use the sexual marketplace analogy, and let me flip it for a second;

Okay, as the seller I get to decide which market I feel like advertising. Whether I’m 18 or 180, there is a willing buyer that will fit my needs.

The purpose of being the seller and deciding the market I get to sell myself, means I get to focus on attracting better quality buyers… even tho there might be fewer of them. But as you know, quality over quantity. Unlike the whole “casting the widest net” analogy usually peddled, I’m not trying to find “anyone” just so I won’t be alone: I’m finding a buyer out of a WANT, not out of need.

Y'all kept mentioning ages of 18-30. All the goddamn time y’all men keep sending mixed messages as to what y’all want on a woman; y’all either want a broke, uneducated but gorgeous legal teen one day , or an age appropriate educated, financially solvent height/weight appropriate grown woman the next one. Or, it’s either “we don’t care for anything other than a woman is under 22, skinny and with big boobs” or “what else you bring to the table other than your body?” Like, which one? Y’all never seem to make y’all mind.

Stop peddling bullshit like “sexual market value”, “the wall”, “hypergamy”, etc. None of y’all men (meaning TRP men) can’t seem to agree with anything related to this. Why? Some are: "we don't care about anything a woman has to offer other than her looks, youth, and agreeableness", while others are all "so, what do you bring to the table other than a pretty physique?"

Whenever you see RP insist on a particular point that makes little sense, that because it furthers their agenda or wishful thinking.

Reckoning women as mere sex objects serves their beliefs because sex is largely physical and the quantity of sex declines past a certain age.

SMV concept is used to scare women into submission lest they miss out completely.

RP can only get away with this by convincing themselves that sex is all a woman has to offer See if it's all about sex, women should maximize chances of a relationship while in their prime.

If all women had this attitude, Red Pillers would have less trouble getting laid.
