I can't speak for others but I haven't found texting to be a good indicator of anything. Some girls will carry on a conversation really well others won't. The real indicator is if she is willing to do something in person. The same girls who hardly ever text me are very willing to go out to eat or grab coffee. Sometimes the girl who texts a lot will make up excuses a lot.

Texting in itself is not bad. Its bad when you are only using it to create rapport with her. In addition, texting should be used to create the minimum level of comfort and security to get the girl to go out with you.

To get to your question, in the beginning of things, its fine to be the one texting first. After all, shes looking for a strong and confident male and you texting her first shows initiative. However, as more time passes by, and you are still the one starting the texts and you still haven't gone out on a date with her, then you haven't convinced her enough to go out with you.

It doesn't mean anything. I've always initiated the texting with pretty much every girl I've dated. Focus more on transitioning from text buddies to fuck buddies (IRL).
