So I'm basically a high school senior and honestly, after all the long nights of studying, I'm ready to start going out again. I used to go out freshman year to parties and stuff, which really improved my confidence with girls and in general, but settling into high school with the goal of getting into a good college really didn't allow for too much partying in the years to come. I'm finally going out again as I just sent out the majority of my applications. As you can tell from my username, I'm Indian; I look reasonably typical for an Indian guy- glasses, average face and pretty skinny- but I consider myself confident as fuck (my friends know me as the guy who doesn't give a shit what he says).

So tonight, my friend and I got high and therefore got the munchies. We went out to a restaurant and I immediately noticed that the waitress was quite attractive. I immediately struck up a conversation with her while asking for the Wi-Fi password and started receiving good vibes from her. As we finished up and left, I asked her if I could speak to her for a minute.

Me: Look, all I wanted to say is: the night is young, you're super chill, we should probably just meet and get to know each other.

Her: Just meet?

Me: I don't know, just get to know each other or something. All I'm really saying is that you're really chill and that's what I'm into. So if I could just have your number, we could meet up sometime.

Her: I have a boyfriend, I'm so sorry though.

Me: Unlucky.

Her: What do you mean?

Me: Do you think I'm unlucky? Missing out on something?

Her: Yeah, I really think you are (she pulls out her phone to show me the boyfriend). He's cute, right?

Me: (I ignore her question) Honestly, you're definitely cute her name.

Her: Thank you so much!

Me: Well, nice meeting you her name. We shake hands and I leave.

I'd appreciate any criticism of anything in that interaction, as well as thoughts/advice.

Inspired by this, my friend and I decided to play a game where I would approach more girls. I botched a few of them by trying to open with, "Hey, could I ask a quick question?" because I was trying to open with a joke. I realized that most girls were busy tonight and therefore tried to be more direct. I approached two more sets of girls. The first was a pair of girls that literally walked past me as I talked to them because I didn't place myself adequately in front (I think- I'm pretty sure this is why they walked past because I talk with confidence and clarity) and then literally would not come back. I made sure to position myself in front of the second set- a trio of hot girls- and try again.

Me: Hey quick thing- by the way, love the Halloween stuff going on there (I point to the black stuff on their faces)- but I wanted to just say that you girls all look beautiful tonight and I had to meet you.

All of them: Thank youuuu!

They keep walking- I don't know why. I was in front of them with my hand outstretched. I walk backwards along with them and shake Girl 1's hand.

Me: Hi, I'm IndianWise.

Girl 1: Hi, I'm her name

Me: So, I guess we're walking in the same direction, huh? (borrowed this line from Simple Pickup)

Girl 3: Is this a dare?

Me: Uh, absolutely not. Your night end early?

Girl 2: Yeah.

They reach their apartment and literally have not stopped walking the entire time. I don't know why or what I could have done.

All: Bye!
