Met this girl at uni who was in my group for a task we were set. To be honest I had no interest in her at first, but then I slowly starting realising how she started flirting with me and of course I was playing the game.

What’s interesting is that she had a long term boyfriend, which she mentioned to me initially during the get to know part in our group. We would walk to the train station and just have a good laugh along the way. We actually met a few times for drinks, but nothing happened, then one night we were both drunk and within minutes all over each other.

A few days after she messaged just to say hi and that regardless of what happened she can’t leave her boyfriend, but is happy to continue our meet-ups. I said no, as I genuinely felt sorry for the boyfriend.

The moral of the story is I never really showed any interest initially and then just by having a laugh with no expectations my side, besides have a laugh, she ended up fancying me, as I didn’t come across as needy (which is key) and it made her want to make a move instead. The boyfriend did not matter as she was having a better time with me. Something different I guess.
