Interesting question, I know Manson (his blog is great, and I had read "The Subtle Art"), but I don't know when it comes to pickup how effective he can be... I'll follow this post, I'm interested in what others that read it think

from chapter 3: "My answer to these men is always the same: if you make it clear from the beginning that you are unwilling to put up with games" . Women do play games and turning around on the first test will give 0 results..

Ah, yes. I feel like he didn't do his actual position justice by wording it like that. Saying it like that almost sends the message that you should be serious with women.
In my interpretation, he means that you shouldn't give her the signals that you would run and jump through every hoop she gives you. Its about respecting yourself and having boundaries. While still being playful, etc.
But yes, I agree he didn't put it well.

It's in my opinion the best book about seduction, and Mark Manson's books are really deep and fascinating. But you need to give up your outdated notions of alpha / beta, and even the idea of shit test is not useful in my opinion.

It's a complex subject, but basically because it's over-simplistic and misses most of the complexity of human relationships. I'm beta, you are beta, I'm also alpha and you are too. We have all of this inside of us, the question is how to you stay yourself and build connection and sexual tension through it. It's also pretty macho and completely misses a lot of girls.
