How long does the conversation regarding YOUR opinion opener last?

It definitely depends on the opener. My opinion opener can stay on topic for as long as 5 minutes because its a fun conversation and actually allows me to show a lot of humor and confidence. Currently I transition within about 20 seconds if not faster. Every single time.

"Hi, I'm Kumar (yo). You look like you need a guy blatantly hitting on you right now. How's your night going?"

Too quick and the opener comes off as a scam, too slow and you bore them.

Keep in mind most girls know you're hitting on them. Also keep in mind that if you ask an opinion opener and the girl responds with something you can ask about her, you can transition immediately. The beauty of doing this (especially if you're new) is that when the conversation dies down you can go right back to your opener to get it all flowing again.

I tried the too-big-too-small blouse opener and held on too long. Next time, going to try to to segue that into an eliciting values routine by identifying values from their first answer. And by too long, I mean like 3-4 minutes.

You need to transition fairly quickly, like a minute or less. Too long and they become more involved with your opener than with you.

Depending on the opener, the ones that have discussions will last longer than those simpler ones. You should be out of your opener in the first 2 minutes if its a short one, and no longer than 5.
