Many girls just give you their number to not be rude in straightly rejecting you, or their emotions just dropped so low with time that they feel nothing to you so why would they want to hang out. If you take the number from the girl, you should do it with clear purpose of continuing your relation and the girl should know it.

You have to learn to find a pretext before you ask for a number... this might seem like it makes getting numbers way harder but as you're learning now getting numbers is meaningless if they are not gonna respond.

Put it this way.

If you get 10 girls' numbers but you get them early on in the convo when she isn't clearly interested yet, MAYBE 1 responds or picks up

If you chat up one girl and find a mutually relevant activity that you both want to do and identify a time and place to do it, then ask for her number, MOST LIKELY the 1 girl will respond and/or pick up.

Most interactions will be somewhere in between those two.

Cold approaching is a numbers game dude. I always assume they won’t text back, and if they do I’m happy, if not I’m not disappointed. If it’s happening super frequently, you might be aiming for girls out of your league, are being too creepy/sleazy, or are not building enough comfort/value. Keep at it I say. If you get get 10+ numbers with no replies, go back to the drawing board.

The problem is probably that you approach this girls only with the intention of getting their numbers, before you even know her as a person that is worth meeting.

Since your goal is to collect numbers rather than connect genuinely in person with them, all of those numbers you collect will very likely flake, as those girls weren’t truly interested and just gave it to you because it’s easier to get rid of you quickly if they just give you the number, and not having to deal with the awkwardness of rejecting you.
