Bit of a theoretical question about women

So I've been thinking, the only definitive things women like regardless of who they are and what they value, is high status.

That could be high social status with a bunch of friends, high financial status, or high competitive status like say they're a winner in their field (sports, a game, etc).

So that said, the planet is about 50 50 men and women. We cannot all be at the top, in fact very few proportionately are at the top.

Considering that, how would the rest of men who are the vast majority attract women? This is not rhetorical, I'm genuinely asking how they get women if very few men attract most women.
