You don’t need to ask if they have a boyfriend. You seem to assume that dating is a game where people play by the rules, where people show respect for boyfriends, or stuff like that. There are plenty of guys who don’t give a fuck if she has a boyfriend and who would still flirt with her and “steal her” from their boyfriends.

The dating world is a like a battleground, only the fittest and the ones who don’t give a fuck survive.

If she is loyal to her boyfriend and doesn’t wanna do anything she will let you know clearly. you don’t need to bring it up.

If you bring it up you are just putting obstacles on yourself before she even made a decision if she wants to let this thing continue or not, which will force her to make a rushed decision which will tend to be no due to the immediate pressure you have put her.

Your goal isn’t to find out if you can proceed escalating based on whether she has a boyfriend or not, it’s to keep escalating regardless of her situation unless she specifically tells you to stop.

Asking the boyfriend question is always a low value move in my opinion. You should always pursue (flirt, suggest to see each other) until they have to tell you IF they have a boyfriend.

I wouldn't usually ask. I cold approached back where I do my Ph.D, just because I thought the girl was attractive. She was a cashier, and she told me she had a boyfriend, and I said no worries, and walked away.

I mean she seemed flustered because she wanted to say yes, but didn't want to say yes because of the situation. But then again, if a girl really wants you, there could be exceptions haha

If u ask if they have a boyfriend, its a turn off for them.
