Damn... that poor solitary cuck.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 09:21 PM

Your husband would have it made. Literally all women in the world are coming for him.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 08:15 PM

are you tho?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 07:58 PM

She clearly has attachment issues, so of course she's going to grasp onto a bunch of avoidant FDS rulebooking.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 05:29 PM

I don't think that's the point at all. But that is one of many rationalizations men give for caring about it. Some men are just repulsed by large N-counts and that's fine. Sexual jealousy is very common across species. But we're an extremely social species and society evolves differently than animals because it's not genetic and it doesn't die. At this point, caring about N-count is just vestigial cultural inertia held over from when sex and childbirth were tightly coupled. Men are of course jus…

CMV: stop hitting yourself
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 04:05 PM

It's the goto answer when dudes are asked "why is high n-count bad for women but not for men?" question.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 04:02 PM

Tell me you have no siblings without telling me you have no siblings.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 03:58 PM

I reeeellly don't get it. What's so bad about a girl with daddy issues? I mean I wouldn't want that for my kids, but... as a romantic other? That shit's basic psych and how she ticks is trivial. Just because assholes know how to attract them and keep them coming back doesn't mean non-assholes can't play that game. Come on.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 03:56 PM

They're literally arguing over whether you have to get your kid's consent to place them in the corner for time out. Oh my fucking god this country is doomed.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 03:51 PM

Daddy issues can be resolved. If people are concerned about girls with daddy issues, then just deal with them. So she's seeking male approval? The horror. However could a guy cope with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 03:45 PM

Accountability for what? There's nothing wrong with hedonism. N count is either relevant or it's not relevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 03:39 PM

Anyone with PTSD or that sort of mental trauma is a red flag. It is what it is. Newsflash: women who've had acid thrown in their faces also not as attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 03:29 PM

Why shouldn't rape affect your N-count?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 03:28 PM

Is that show appealing for literally any reason? It just seems like everyone is forcing that show at me and idk the ads make it look like Saw... but with lemmings and it just has zero appeal to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 02:36 PM

Because women can't ever be satisfied (aka hypergamy)?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 01:46 PM

Take care of your issues? Don't all women have therapists nowadays?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 01:43 PM

Stabler to me is still always the guy in some HBO prison show from the late 90s and I'm not sure how he could be hotter now than he was then.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 01:03 PM

Stabler. got. hot. Now I've read everything. Edit: confused Stabler with Munch
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 12:53 PM

Is there vinegar in tomato sauce? I would have thought that was the primary difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/10/21 12:52 PM

Have you tried no-sugar-added ketchups? I haven't looked in a while but they used to make them without fake sugars, but dunno if that's still true after the fake sugar explosion. They tasted better than the sugared ones, IMHO. I barely eat ketchup anymore though.

As a woman, It's very difficult to at any point have sex with any man who you do not truly love and want. So, as a woman, how do you explain the olde yarn about prostitution being the oldest profession?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/21 07:12 PM

I'm just saying there are limits to what can be learned from examples of "don't be like that guy". Sometimes "be like that guy" is helpful.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/21 06:25 PM
1

Bummer. It's so easy to peer into things that don't work and what you're describing does sound like wading through a bunch of trash. "Don't be trash" and "How not to be trash" is pretty easy to find. For example my personal white whale is sexting and dirty talk. I'm just no good at it and most of the examples men and women give are either so vague or cringeworthy it makes me want to comit. I just have no good models to build the perspectives. I have contemplated performing a man-in-the-middle at…

What people actually mean by the empathy gap. "I [woman] am sad and scared because [man] did bad thing to me." Women- Oh you poor thing, I'm here for you, sending all my love. Men- "I'd love to hear hissssss side of the story." "I can't help but feel we aren't getting the full story here." "I'm not seeing enough blame on the woman here, time to go digging to see if she's ever done something questionable in her life so I can assume she's at fault and the man she's blaming is actually the victim."…

lol but did you read it? Now to the heart of the study. Social dominance was measured in the participants by how often they claimed to use coercive and cooperative strategies to control material, social, or informational resources. The most socially dominant men rated vignettes in which they were sexually dominant higher than the other men did, but all tiers rated the submission vignettes equally. So much for the CEO-in-the-dungeon theory. At least among men. Among women, everyone rated dominati…

Kama Sutra? Books? Forums? Anywhere that's... not porn? In one of the recent daily threads there was a discussion about this thing called "soaking" in which apparently the religitards think that putting a dick in a pussy and not pumping doesn't count as sex. Anywho it reminded me that when I was a wee impressionable lad and found the sex section of the public library way before ye internete tubes there was a book on tantric sex and one of the chapters was talking about sex where you literally di…

We probably will in the sense that it will be easier for men who do want degrees to get them, but the reality is that a lot of that difference is that "female jobs" (nurse, paralegal, etc) requires a degree, but "male jobs" (cop, mechanic, construction, programming) do not. It's very field driven. Few women go into engineering for example.

This is going to be the best Supreme Court case ever Two complaints – both from men living out of state – were filed against Dr Braid on Monday morning. One, a rambling, weird document, comes from a convicted felon and disbarred former attorney named Oscar Stilley, who is serving a prison term on house arrest in Arkansas. That complaint, which Stilley seems to have written himself, makes multiple references to Dr Braid’s conduct regarding “bastards” and his supposed belief in a god referred to b…

All you have to do is dunk on sluts and whores 24/7 and any sluts or whores you are dating will filter themselves out the door to cuckier pastures. Mind you, a good number of women who aren't sluts or whores will also filter themselves out, so you can't make any conclusions about the dredges who saunter themselves off. But the ones that remain are extremely unlikely to be sluts or whores.

Everyone's gonna change their tunes right quick once they understand insurance companies have changed their tunes about covering costs for treatment and random anti-vaxers end up liquidating all their assets and bankrupt. Of course what will really happen is somehow these Tea Partiers will be demanding free healthcare because something something insurance companies infringe their freedoms.

I didn't bother watch that but the theory/fear that men who aren't yoked to family life cause chaos and destruction is pretty old.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/21 01:52 AM

Yeah, there's no upside for a guy to being called "husband material". If a woman says that to you it's basically equivalent to her saying "you'd look good in a rope necktie 😉". Dunno what the equivalent would be for guys saying things to women but maybe something like "you're broodmare material for my seed".

The fear is about loneliness and isolation and anxiety about the absence of a prescribed purpose to toil as a distraction from the void. I tend to like Existentialism. We're all in the void together. Build meaning and relationships with others to escape loneliness. You find your own purpose and role in the world. I'm also sort of influenced by Buddhist ideas.

All I want to do is give them a fucking public key, none of this bullshit Silicon Valley "secure messaging". This isn't rocket science it was solved eons ago. The goal here is encrypted at rest, I don't care about transport. It's over 30 years since PGP.

All they get from an encrypted email is that I have a message and from whom and they already get that from the fucking email that tells me to go login to the fucking "secure messaging" website to see some dumbass message.

I am so fucking tired of every buttfucking company creating "secure messaging" inboxes that I have to fucking login to and navigate around and download. Just fucking send me an encrypted email or something or I'm going to have you fucking mail me paper.

All of the women look very attractive. #3 and #9 are cute but something about them isn't quite as appealing. Could just be the photos though.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/21 03:13 AM

Masturbation is whatever, but porn is absolutely and completely unnecessary. This idea that porn is a punishment for not putting out or to plaster over a libido difference doesn't really hold water. I'm very much not anti-porn, but positioning it as competition with a woman is dumb. It's always easier to jack off to porn, and jacking off to porn is easier than having sex. It's completely asinine to expect women to compete with porn.

I always upvote them while continuing the convo so that they think they have an entourage.

How about a world of women (50%), neutered asexual worker drones (40%), and large dick six foot bulls (10%)?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 05:53 PM
2

That's probably a good approach. I've never done any pick-up and I'm not too interested in taking it up or playing dumb games. But I'm fairly neurotic and I did find a lot of the way they would practice processing and sorting negative thoughts and the anti-thoughts they used to combat them were pretty helpful to me at the time.

She's not wrong, but I don't get what's so reprehensible about admitting that people have babies because they want to have babies. At least for planned pregnancies. Maybe not for oopsies. Like who the hell would say they did it for charitable reasons or as some selfless act? That's more the domain of foster and adoptive parents, not breeders. I don't see what's so confusing about this. Dogs are a good example. Think about dog breeders who create dogs to sell for profit vs animal shelters that re…

That "hate" thing is a semantic distraction. If you go back in historical documents and slavery apologizia, you'll also often hear slavers say things like it's not necessary to hate blacks to own them as slaves. Or that it's not necessary to hate blacks to want apartheid. But that's pretty silly.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/21 05:10 PM

They're "egalitarian" until push comes to shove and then it's always "the wife wins" and pulverizing the husband.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/21 05:04 PM

I don't know how you can square that with the mandatory misogyny (oldest teenager, women are incapable of love, men love women - women love kids - kids love dogs, hypergamy, fear of female capture of government, etc etc etc). Red pill fundamentally believes women are manipulators and enslavers of men if left to their own devices.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/21 03:12 PM
1

That's because you've never bothered look at what red pillers reject. Things like "The Feminine Imperitive" etc.

I would call those more the black pill (gender nihilist) types (MGTOW/incels, etc). Definitely not something I would build a life with until they find some purpose. Anyway you still haven't explained what blue pill and red pill mean (to you). Typically non-red pillers simply define it as "not red pill". I think marriages require more flexibility. I don't think healthy women would want a red pill relationship because there is very much a core of misogyny in red pill. Blue pill is just crazy insan…

Ok well then I remembered it wrong. Who cares what she's bitching about.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/21 08:42 PM
3

I'd ask her ex-fiance why he ran for the hills. She's not dateless and romanceless. She does now have the history of spooking off a potential husband. Anyone would pause at that precisely because she should be a catch. I don't know if any details have come out but without knowing what happened anyone can imagine what they want. But I would certainly have a lot of concerns given what's come out about metoo and women in media.

I'm not sure what "college environment" suggests to others but I'm reading that as engineering where it's completely out of control all-nighters and deadlines and no work/life balance. And that really, really does suck. What's his plan for the next step?

I currently earn 100% of the income. I think my wife should spend more on herself and visit a salon or whatever every now and then because she always seems so happy and mentally reset afterwards, but she thinks it's a waste of money and basically refuses unless her mom gifts it. I've given her gift cards and she refused to use them and ended up regifting them. She mostly does DIY stuff and that's fine but she will make comments about how the lady at the salon is better. So at the moment I would …

That works as third person, but I'm catching flack for second person use. I'm horrible with names and often mix up my own kids by accident. I've been teasing the witchlings by "accidentally" calling my wife their names to buy some time.

Not a bad idea, actually. It's a bit awkward because her last name is an English word that will sound like you just stopped in the middle of a sentence. It's not very dunno tender though. Worth thinking about. I could easily try something based on her middle name.

I get it. But apparently it's not OK to call her her first name, either. All my attempts have been rejected, so... at this point I'm left with "queen"? Well like I was saying you've only shown up with receipts to support that 27% of women in that age bracket will be single. Just so you are aware, since this seems somewhat challenging for you, that means your numbers say 73% are NOT single. 😱 But oh noes some tiny sliver of that 27% exists! It's concerning!
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/21 07:16 PM
2

In 2019 just under 60% of "working age women" were "working women". The difference is: 45% of working women 27% of working age women + whatever percentage from the 40% not working women who are single You're the one who brought 2018-2030 up. If you want to talk 1970, young marriage was still strongly socially enforced. Let's talk divorce rates of those.

50% of all working age women will be single by 2030. Your numbers are exaggerated and don't add up. First of all you're confusing "working women" with "working age women" (a larger group that is far less likely to be childless which meaning percentages are likely to be lower for the "working age women" group). Secondly your numbers are wrong. According to the source you cited: By 2030, 45% of working women aged 25 to 44 in the United States will be single. In 2018, single women made up 41% of wo…

Yeah, but I'm wondering specifically about the framing as an overall decrease in risk-taking and impulsivity. Which, sure, are associated with testosterone. Impulsivity has actually been something we've been targeting medically, though. I'm skeptical that anyone looked at testosterone or sperm counts in those drug trials because none of it would have been in the "adverse side effects" column.

I guess the crux of the question is how to deal with say SAHP. Is their labor fairly valued at the amount they would make if they were employeed instead? Is their value the number of hours they free the working partner for employment? Is their value the cost of hiring someone else to perform that work? It's difficult to reason about the value of the intangibles.

I think it can go overboard though. At least as a Gen X'er, a lot of parenting I see nowadays seems quite smothering and way too helicoptering and involved. But that's mostly with small families. Larger families seem to know better.

I understand how that works (and I actually agree with that approach because I think about it in terms of productive hours because it removes the distinction between paid and unpaid labor). But I don't understand how or why you would allocate spending money unequally. Edit: Well... maybe if unmarried. I could definitely see that it would function as shared expenses out and the rest remains personal.

She also hates watching anything even remotely suggesting anal and since just about everything seems to include that nowadays it can be a chore to find anything. So... yeah I'd be ok with it.

Most women are neurotic feminine types. The phrase is not meant to be disrespectful or distainful, it's just accurate. They're rarely the ones on PPD though.

Would be nice if there were a followup about what he learned (if anything) at rehab or if it even helped. Mostly I think this wholescale no-porn vs extreme porn perspective isn't helpful. As long as she finds it satisfying then I don't see a problem. The mindset of seeing women's bodies as impediments to quick nutting is possibly discordant. It's easy to slip into using women's bodies and throwing some tech bone at her cause her pleasure is annoying. I'm not sure I would call that equalizing, but I'm not a woman so it's not my place to impose perspectives.

It's sort of difficult to figure out what counts as better really. Keeping the amount of sex the same while increasing orgasms seems like a win. A negative could be if the woman wanted the extra effort but felt resigned/shamed/guilted into accepting vibrator or nothing due to a sort of low-key objectification and not wanting to be a burden or some other feminine neurotic thing. It seems like it could be pretty contextual.

Being able to be aroused by visuals doesn't mean they're necessary though. The caveat on those studies is heterosexual men are aroused by images of women having sex, but women are aroused by images and videos of sex happening regardless of sex, gender or species. So I think that actually does underscore that visual triggers are more specific triggers for men but not for women. And yeah imagination works, but it's visual imagination. Women have described just imagining blobs of color.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/21 01:15 PM

Men's sexuality is extremely visual. Women often describe masturbating and having no visuals involved. It's extremely alien to me. At least my experience is that if I'm masturbating it's always involving some visual from memory. Before porn was accessible (I'm old) it was always remembering something I had seen recently like a girl on the streetcar or the glance I accidentally got down a girl's t-shirt in class or some girl who smiled at me etc. Even when having sex in the dark there's like an i…

I'm not talking about logic though. I'm talking about experience. The only experience I've ever had as a problem is this strangling thing and like I said I don't know how to similarly strangle a clit.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 08:30 PM
1

I don't claim it can desensitize a dick. It's just that in my limited experience it's just difficult for a vagina to really strangle a dick. So if you get used to having your dick strangled, then a vagina won't deliver. But that's about sensory profiles and conditioning, not desensitization.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 08:15 PM
3

That may be but I don't have hands small enough to firmly wrap around and strangle a clit.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/21 08:10 PM
2

I've used some fun toys, but maybe it's just my experience that toys don't mess up my dick as much as my hands can. So yeah overall toys are a bit lackluster. Particularly jerking off with a tight grip seems to be problematic since it can be much tighter than the vagina I play with. But maybe some women do superkegels or something so dunno I can't compare. I wouldn't know how to even attempt to replicate that sort of a tight grip jerking off sensory profile on a clit.

I'm not a lawyer but iirc Roe v Wade is based in large part on a creative interpretation of the Fourth Amendment protection against searches and seizures applied to the doctor patient relationship. It's emotional and probably instinctive rather than rational. When people sit down and think about it with a cool head they realize the urge is wrong. Well I'm actually very pro-choice so that's not what I'm saying. C-section and birth are not abortions. I just find the whole dehumanizing "it's not even human so who cares" line of argument so revolting and actually pushes me toward pro-life. Similarly whether or not law cares about "person" or whatever is meaningless to me. Corporations are persons too as far as law is concerned.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/21 02:40 PM

Yeah I agree about this. The only real thing to argue about is methods imho. At a certain point the fetus can survive outside the womb and at that point it shouldn't be destroyed or maimed while removing it from the woman. But otherwise it's just a question of what society considers humane means, but that's all way secondary to medical practice.

This six week fetal heartbeat is entirely a technological fiction and all FDA has to do is issue a clarification about what is and is not a heartbeat and refuse to allow marketing of any device that claims to detect as heartbeats things that are not heartbeats. Texas fucked up.

Feminists burn their bras but only for Chad. So it's quite clear that bra claps are specifically designed to humiliate betas. Feminists will deny this of course.

Yeah but he also wouldn't pay child support. And I don't see why he couldn't file later anyway. She just couldn't force him to file and if he didn't file he has no rights but also she gets no support.

What I'm saying is that if you can't find him and/or he won't sign, you can be pretty damn sure he's going to be a deadbeat. So you can make whatever decision about whether you want to carry the deadbeat's kid to term.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 01:39 AM
1

If a guy wants to be a dad then it seems rather trivial. If it's forgotten and he wanted to be dad why would there be a problem getting it filed? Seems like it would pop up immediately when registering the kid as a dependent on health insurance and once health insurance is involved it's going to be built into the medical records system and basic intake and registration questionnaires.

Why can't she make her decision under the assumption he's going to opt out? If they were married or in a significant relationship then I could see her thinking he might want to be around pending paternity confirmation. Yeah and they somehow can't use birth control, IUDs, condoms or take Plan B after being raped either. They need more choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/21 12:08 AM
1

That would make sense for a forced rape. But in a more metoo type situation why would they choose sex and immediately confess and seek retribution? Why do you think they're even open to going to the police at that stage? At best all they're looking for is posthoc permission to clear their conscience. If they were on your wavelength they'd have refused in the first place and gone directly to police/lawyers.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 08:58 PM
1

any scenario Ok so the other scenario I've been discussing here is the typical metoo type thing. If your SO's boss told her she's fired unless she fucks him, and she fucks him, then would you consider that to be cheating? Would it matter to you at all whether or not she tells you she wanted to fuck him when she did it?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 05:05 PM

You really have to love how dehumanizing and objectifying that term is. Womb people is even more technically correct but a wee bit too close to pod people. We should start an advocacy group to call them womboids.

Women go Total War when losing arguments in ways that men... just don't. I think men have learned more verbal restraint because when boys/men go there the punching starts. But if you punch a woman you've always lost so women have learned to run their mouths escalating bullshit. The best you can do is deprive them of ammo.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/09/21 01:18 PM

As far as I know they just advertise themselves all over everywhere outside OF. Basically you can view the reddit profile page of any FDSer and they'll have a link to their OF page stickied on their profile that lists their rates for various items.

That's just the story he made up. Disagree that receiving a blowjob is even rape. Rape would be something like shoving something up his ass.

/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 09:25 PM

Ok well to clarify, if my gf/wife were involved in any of the metoo type bullshit I would consider that to be cheating on her part.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 09:06 PM
-5

From the POV of the husband/bf a rape and a convincing lie are indistinguishable. I'm saying a gf/wife could hookup, regret it and them claim they were drugged/blacked out or whatever. So for a cheater claiming to be raped/blackmailed/metooed or whatever seems to be an option.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 08:51 PM

So rather than cheat you'd become an accomplice in mass homicide? Nice moral flex, dude.

/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 08:25 PM

I mean it's completely trivial to make that not possible? You're chained to the wall on one side of the room and can't possibly escape. Do it now or your partner's brains are everywhere.

That's why they torture and kill your partner instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 08:14 PM

Morals are not absolute, all you have to do to defeat them is encounter a moral quandary or double bind. You could definitely be coerced to choose cheating. Suppose some drugged out asshole or nihilistic sadist with a gun makes you fuck someone in front of your partner or they will kill you or your partner. Seems like there was some movie with this scenario that I hated actually.

I've never hired one but it's easy for me to mentally contextualize by drawing parallels to massage and I can't really see why a client would inherently hate their masseuse or vice versa. Of course trafficked people or those who are forced are a different story. And I do think that probably people who do hate women are likely to be involved. So I mo…

Finally, the changes brought about through the women’s movement may have decreased women’s happiness. The increased opportunity to succeed in many dimensions may have led to an increased likelihood of believing that one’s life is not measuring up. Similarly, women may now compare their lives to a broader group, including men, and find their lives more likely to come up short in this assessment. Or women may simply find the complexity and increased pressure in their modern lives to have come at t…

Cut of their artificial supply, suggest there is a chance, and watch productivity spike. That's just basic Maslow's hierarchy stuff. Starve people, suggest you'll feed them if they work and watch productivity spike. It's because food and sex are low on Maslow's. Suggesting how to quench the hunger weaves the need into behavior. Lack of food leads to hunger pangs that distract from higher and more abstract levels of behavior (such as productivity). Lack of sexual outlet behaves similarly. Organs …

Same author as mads's article. When I married Olivier after moving to Paris and having a whirlwind romance, I couldn’t have imagined that it would end the way it did. I would have laughed at the mere suggestion that after ghosting me for three months, he’d leave me for his new “soulmate,” a 21-year-old, and ultimately that I’d become a widow. But after 20 short months of marriage, that’s exactly what happened.

Gay men don't marry straight women? Not having desire for your partner seems like a compatibility problem. Beyond that your entire post is a logical spaghetti that just asserts that incompatibility is a disorder that must be fixed which is pretty similar to the ideas behind conversation therapy. Fifty years ago you'd be citing the same sources and telling gay men to be straight. It's not a "gotcha" it's a fundamental flaw with your argument. Nice try at a thesis though.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/21 11:23 AM

If gay men and lesbians both exist, and gay men and lesbians are not sexually compatible (as you have already agreed), then you already know sexual incompatibility cannot be a myth. That makes you the troll.

/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 10:18 PM

I think the more damning bias in the OkC data is the notification thing which I didn't know about until today (I've never used OkC). I completely and 120% buy that guys don't mind women knowing that they've ranked them 4 or 5. In fact I suspect that would cause guys to score women higher thinking it signals greater interest. On the flip side I can also see women not ranking guys high merely to avoid sending him the notification. And that feeds back into the messaging discrepancy where women rank…

/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 03:51 PM
2

Oh, well that's super dumb particularly if there's some triggered interaction threshold and women are just rating below that. I've never heard this in criticism of the OkCupid data before, but it's a major bias if true.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 12:59 PM
2

Didn't OkCupid obtain ratings by taking profile photos and having them rated outside the main app process in a separate survey? They then took those external attractiveness results and linked them with in-app behavior. So I don't know what notification risk you are talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 12:09 PM
9

You have already argued elsewhere that the OkCupid ratings data are invalid because women aren't visual. So how are you now accepting a different study based on women looking at pictures?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 12:02 PM

I'm only mid 40s but I know zero guys who would seriously date the equivalent of female Spock.

If I take it for granted that her story is accurate--she's had 100 first dates, plenty of casual, not crazy, etc--but she's never had a bf? The picture she paints to me is that she's cold and standoffish once you het to know her. Mostly basing that off the weird gloating about never having drama or bullshit. Guys live for drama and bullshit.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/21 09:59 AM

Yeah I mean not all labor is equal? Guys complain about being overworked too.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 09:20 PM

And what does he mean about "can't" cook and clean? Like just about all women can cook and clean. Have you literally even seen Pinterest? The busy ones have better things to do. Of course the answer is to outsource that, but guys seem to just expect women who work full time to somehow pull free labor out of thin air. It's not like we talk about Israel or something. I feel like if what was going on in Afghanistan was Israel then women would be shooting people in the heads.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/21 09:16 PM

Depends on how long the marriage has been, and what's going on IMHO. If the guy's fucked his shit up that's on him to fix. If there's a pregnancy or illness or other stressor, etc. Conversations can range from pretty useless to very helpful but it's not easy to have actual communication rather than talking at each other. I'm not sure there's a cookie cutter answer. It really depends on what's going on. But I also think length of the relationship matters. I wouldn't advise wasting time during wha…

Well you've already presupposed the outcome when you frame things in terms of generalizables such as "people". Women/females are not men/women. You could generalize and say I want to fuck people rather than wanting to fuck women, but that's lost a lot of detail. Similarly if you decide to generalize and say that men and women are animals, it's only technically correct to say that I want to fuck animals.

Female nature and sexuality is about being pursued. Dudes delude themselves into thinking that there is a goal line and that their commitment makes the female's need to be chased go away. So they get lazy and drop the ball.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/21 11:53 AM

You're confusing "wealthier" with "wealthiest". For the bulk of women, access to employment increases wealth and means they can afford to not get married. Wealth is pyramidical and the association is driven from the bottom up, not from the top down. The upper class are statistical outliners.

The logistics of metabolism is certainly going to be quite different. There's some sort of a spectrum where doing it once depends on the immediate state of the muscle and immediate local energy and uses the cardiovascular system for replenishment after the activity. Doing it 5000 times probably doesn't depend on local stores and depends more on the ability to deliver consistent metabolic support of the muscles.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/21 07:22 PM

Turn offs and turn ons are very different things. Like in a car, a turn on is pressing the accelerator and a turn off is pumping the breaks. They're related but not pumping the breaks doesn't make you go faster. "That's a turn off" means it's something that distracts or gets in the way and sabotages arousal.

It's more about deciding what you want. If you don't want marriage or a LTR or whatever then by all mean just be the hot guy who doesn't have his shit together. Or have tour shit together and refuse to get married. Even TRP which is all about being the hot guy tells you to get your shit together. Having your shit together is something you do for yourself. So whether or not you're trying to be Sheryl's fuckboy, you need to be doing both.

Dual-Mating is literally an evopsych theory and has a definition. If you're not sure, use google. The word "dual" also literally means two simultaneously. You can get a good overview of the origins and complete failure of the Dual-Mating Hypothesis in Buss's article proposing the Mate-Switching Hypothesis. It's not really a full theory or anything. There's just a general idea that many of the mental disorders are normal systems operating in some sort of a failure mode. Similar to how addiction is related to reward system failure modes. But then you get to asking what are the adaptive traits of depression and that's where conservation of energy comes in. If things are futile, wasting energy isn't adaptive. But like the way you "measure" depression in rats is you throw a female rat in a tank with it…

Well, the problem is women don't do that though. Under Dual-Mating without the biological hormonal fluctuations to waive women off as unstable wackos, then you're back to the major challenge of explaining the overwhelming real-world experience and data that women cheat with AF and then DUMP the BB which is exactly the opposite of what Dual-mating claims. This is because dual-mating explicitly claims women cheat with AF and KEEP the BB.

Someone who has been married for 30 years to their HS or college sweetheart isn't going to give much helpful advice to a 30yo navigating the adult dating scene. Koss's position isn't that men can't be raped. It's that they can't be raped by women (unless women use like a strapon or fingers or whatever to penetrate--which almost never happens).

That's all just rationalization. The standard creepiness rule is empirical. Creepiness is like color, it's perceptual. Sure you can try to define things like white points and perceptual color spaces etc, but ultimately it's just observation.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 08:41 PM

It really depends on age. For example I'm 44 and my eldest daughter is 12. It would be super creepy if we were dating because she looks like my daughter. But when I turn 78, it will no longer be creepy.

I agree with you, and I never particularly agreed with that book's blinders. But that's what the particular book is about. NMMNG always felt like a bunch of circle jerking and whining to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 02:31 PM
5

Well according to that book it comes from having a parent who has poor emotional self control.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 02:24 PM
3

Partly and superficially that's true. Those can all be related to co-dependency. A large part of the book is about getting to the motivations and "why" of those behaviors. "When I Say No, I Feel Guilty" is a different book that's more of the "don't do that" manual without all the questionable worldbuilding.

/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/21 01:18 PM

Seems very plausible if the data included (rather than excluded) women who have divorced and remarried. The majority of marriages and divorces are this giant churn of people who repeatedly marry and divorce over and over again. Often researchers try to avoid this problem by looking at first marriages only. But that's a detail that's easily manipulated to produce statistics one way or another.

It’s adaptive for women to be emotionally expressive attract predators. When you don’t have physical strength, you need to get allies and exert power through emotional and social influence and mate with the survivors.

idk I'm just here to insinuate that it's actually female humans who are the apex predators and that they prey on males. The fact that female humans despise stoicism so, so much is quite sus.

polyrelationship That's an... interesting way of describing the de Beauvoir/Sartre dynamic.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/21 07:17 PM

I was reading about animal research recently and it mentioned challenges with monitoring primates for distress and pain because they tend to stoicism and will hide pain and weakness at all costs. It mentioned the theory being that predators will target the weak and injured. Puts a certain perspective on the fact that almost universally male humans tend to stoicism while female humans do not.

It will definitely mutate and nothing we do in the US will prevent it. Most of the world doesn't have access to vaccine. IIRC delta came from India.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 11:55 PM

I think probably if you haven't been paying attention to what Trump did to a lot of the scientific staff in the government prior to the pandemic then maybe you wouldn't be concerned. But let's be clear this is a guy who even though the law and everything is extremely clear about the fact that he lost the election is still promulgating bullshit. I do think Trump deserves a lot of credit for operation warp speed, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/21 11:43 PM

I mean if the scientists are saying not to take it and Trump is saying to take it I would not take it. And none of the people who are unvaccinated right now waiting for non-emergency use authorization would take it either.

A requisite condition of cuckoldry is reproductive deception of the male by the female. So if there's no deception about n-count (or paternity) it cannot plausibly be considered "cuckoldry". Any other non-ironic use of the term "cuckold" is pure hysterics--which is odd since the people promulgating the term presumably lack uterii.

There's a Frontline a few years ago that goes into how Russia operates and this is exactly what they do. The goal is to destabilize and weaken rivals by amplifying internal discord. So they feed out all sorts of bullshit and see what sticks. But mostly what works best is to find, amplify and promote fringe wierdos. I think grounding things in real life is pretty much the best defense to internet fake reality. Everything is a lie unless you see it yourself outside your own window.

Suppose some guy talks radfem shit about how all men are rapists etc except for him because he's "not like the other guys". It's trying to make yourself look good by tearing down your own gender. And to be clear men absolutely do not have to do that when courting wonen.

Can you post examples of "wholesome romance"?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/21 10:23 PM

I guess the biggest question I have is whether it's a selection effect. Basically there are two ways of thinking about or framing the LTR vs STR question: Women a priori go out a start "short term relationships" and "long term relationships" and select different guys for each. Women attempt to start relationships and the ones that where they are least satisfied end and are called "short term relationships" and the ones where the women are most satisfied last longer and are called "long term rela…

It doesn't seem too different from a prenup that mandates arbitration and penalties for infidelity etc. Prenups are also gaining in popularity. Don't know why governments or women would care. It's all voluntary contracts.

I don't think it's conditioned at all. Just look at other animals. It's just... how it works. I think we wish it were conditioning, but I think it's worse: obvious from game theory. It's like how we know that tic-tac-toe has no winners (unless someone chooses to lose). The setup of our bodies implies these roles. If you reject the game theory, you will be guaranteed to lose, because our bodies set the fundamental rules of the game.

Nope, I don't have any problem with no fault divorce. One possibility would be to allow private organizations to define rules. This is already how things like churches work. For example legally no-fault divorce exists. Catholics don't care what the law says. So there could be something like a commissioned marriage. Then people could marry as Catholic marriage and then the Catholic church would have control and the legal system would defer. But I would open it up to non- religious organizations t…

Yeah. Well I see it as men are meant to prove themselves and impress women and women chose amongst us. The value thing has to do with pregnancy. Reproduction is just a quick squirt for a male body, but it's quite an undertaking for a female body. Similarly I'd say a house is inherently more valuable than a house key. That being said, human women and men are also of equal value both among our own species and among the animal kingdom. I don't think any actually believes this. It's wishful thinking…

Dunno. I think there's always some level of transacting over women's bodies. Whether that's pay-to-play I'm not sure. But basically the woman's... spirit or consciousness whatever has possession of the body. Women don't seem to value and covet male bodies the way guys seek female bodies. I sort of think that's a setup imposed by the realities of our sex organs. Women's bodies are just fundamentally more valuable.

You'd have to prove "enough investment" (or lack thereof) to some uniform legal standard in court. How do you see that standard working? "Must fuck/suck/lick at least weekly"? And how are you going to get beyond he said/she said in terms of evidence?

So basically you tell her to cool it and that she's moving too fast, then she keeps questioning why you're even wasting her time, and then it finally ends when you tell her you want her to commit to a relationship? My guess is you lost a lot of nuance being so dependent on text.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/21 04:34 AM

The point is monkey branching isn't compatible with the Dual-Mating Hypothesis. Dual-Mating Hypothesis is fundamentally about women being attracted to two different men at the same time, which is why it latched onto ovulatory shift as a possible mechanistic explanation. Monkey branching (known as the Mate-Switching Hypothesis see Buss's journal article for a litany of the Dual-Mating Hypothesis's failures to match reality) is a newer alternative hypothesis. The science-looking psychology-domain …

For me the nail in the Dual Mating Hypothesis is the simple observation that cheating women almost always dump the beta provider. If the Dual Mating Hypothesis were true you would expect more women to actually behave accordingly--happily leeching off a beta while secretly fucking alphas. It makes zero sense to dump cucked beta providers under the Dual Mating Hypothesis framework.

I can see how that calculus could apply to well-to-do women with good jobs who don't need no man to raise a kid, but I don't really think being a single-mom on welfare is much of a luxury that anyone looking to procreate would deliberately chose. So I think you've got it from the wrong end. Possibly increasing welfare would decrease abortions of oopsies are unplanned pregnancies, though.

Well technically it's ∂(result)/∂(data) that matters. And ∂(data) with a sample of 108 65 is pretty large, particularly if ∂(result) is small (as it is here). The false positive rate of this study is quite high. Twenty researchers could have run this identical study with 19 finding nothing that's publishable and one who happened to luck out.

I honestly think this is all horseshit. The idea that people evolved visual preferences that somehow mark genes with survival advantage is dumb. It's fundamentally the cart pushing the horse. The only opinion I have is that 8 isn't true, Also, there is always a low desire partner in each relationship and that partner controls the relationship's sexual activity. The high desire partner will tend to be hypersensitive to the low-desire partner's feelings thinking that avoiding negative experiences will promote the low-desire partner's desire. So the high-desire partner will focus on the narrow few items that reliably don't cause problems and abandon things they are interested in. So tha…

I've never heard of Unwin before, but it appears he died in the 1930s. The reason that's important is he's basing his observations on cultures and sexuality that are all pre-birth control. The biology and linkage between sex and procreation has just changed dramatically. I can certainly see that the problem of unrestrained sexuality resulting in unwanted…

Nobody can maintain RP's supposed amorality. Valuing truth over lies is a moral stance (truth=good; lies=bad) and that's literally what RP chirps about everything. The "harsh truth about X" vs "comfortable lies" etc. (discomfort=good; comfort=bad) Plenty of other core moral axioms. Individualism=good; collectivism=bad is also another moral judgement. Literally all of RP advocacy is some form of moral outrage.

It could be an apex fallacy and selection effect. I'm pretty sure an at terms of absolute numbers fewer women than men watch hardcore porn. But as a percentage of women who do watch porn and I could see that more of those women watch hardcore porn if they don't have other options for their picadillos. So I think it's More that "normie" women don't watch "normie" porn whereas normie men do watch normie porn. So it's a difference in the denominator rather than the numerator.

Burkas aren't worn in the US. Maybe they're ubiquitous in Europe by now? Dunno. The point is women cater to men's demands when men have power. Buttfuckistani men want burkas and dutysex.

No, it's showing continued progress of sexual reform to shift of power from men to women. The economics studies are very clear that when women have power sexiness fades and chasteness rises. The way I defined the terms, Y is the sexual activity they have together so Y increases identically for him and her. X is her sexual activity prior to their relationship, which is fixed and does not increase. In these terms, her total sexual experience is X+Y and his total sexual experience is 0+Y.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/21 12:53 PM

The links the article references say that modern college dudes are just no longer comfortable forcing themselves upon unwilling women and find that sort of predatory behavior to be cringy and uncool. Not sure how that's much of a "crisis" anyone should care to do anything about.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/21 12:34 PM
1

X/Y when X is constant and Y increases tends to zero. 3/4, 3/40, 3/400, 3/4000 etc The ratio of their total experiences (X+Y)/Y or Y/(X+Y) will tend to 1, but that's not the difference in experience. Her excess sexual experience as a fraction of his experience is (X+Y-Y)/Y = X/Y.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/21 10:39 AM
2

Why wouldn't the optimal be foe everyone to do whatever they personally want?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/21 03:50 AM
2

Sigh. Equations it is. Who said anything thing about leaving the relationship? Let X be her sex before they met and Y be the sex they have together. Her total experience us then X+Y and his experience is Y. Her weighted excess experience is then X/Y and tends to zero as Y increases. Example: suppose she's taken 1 mile of cock prior to their meeting. 1 mile is pretty big compared to 5 yards. But it's nothing compared to 1000 miles. So he's just got to break her in.

Dunno. Seems like it should have a fixed value based on market rates. /r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 08:04 PM

The only time they "look down" on these women is when they are asked to invest or commit to them. You seem to think they're looking down on them while they're jerking off (and I'm sure a niche group has a kink for that) but... it's just completely laughable that you think guys who use porn have any issue whatsoever with pornsters being pornsters. If you have no issue with them not selecting pornsters as long term mates then there's nothing to discuss.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 08:00 PM

Re-reading your linked threads and this convo what seems very clear to me is that literally everyone is telling you the same thing and you insist otherwise. The guys you are talking about (i.e. those who both consume porn and criticize performers) only criticize when expected to date or commit to them. That's it. End of story. It's literally what everyone is saying.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 07:43 PM

Yes. Both contexts generalize to male evaluation of women for different sex and relationship contexts. But what I'm saying is it's like picking a vehicle. Sometimes a pickup is a good choice. Sometimes a sports car is a good choice. Sometimes a golf cart is a good choice. Sometimes a helicopter is a good choice. They're all choosing vehicles, but the choice is based on context.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 07:37 PM
1

There's no overlap in the context. i.e. the problem being solved is different. In one context the itch that is scratched is a very objectifying selfish inward-directed sexuality that has nothing to do with satisfying a woman and more to do with satisfying urges. Evaluating the suitability of a long term mate is a much larger and different challenge. The fundamental, core difference between males and females is that males can have completely meaningless sex without any natural consequences. Males…

What overlap do you see?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 06:59 PM

I don't see how these two overlap, except that women try to demand that they not exist? It's you who is seeing some sort of cognitive dissonance after your merging of the categories. Seems pretty obvious that the your categorical merging is the primary source of your perceived dissonance.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 06:54 PM
2

It's two different contexts. You can have no problem with women creating sexual content, and consuming that content because that's one context. It's a different context entirely when you're talking about women you would date, have a relationship with or otherwise emotionally invest in and commit to. So the answer your question is that you're confounding two contexts and trying to force them to be the same, when they're not. Where they are related is that it's zero sum. Women can choose to exist …

Genes don't "need" anything. And most of the cells in your body don't even have any function for sex. In fact from a gene's perspective the entire purpose of sex is to create an new genome that is unrelated to the existing cells. So if you think about it, in terms of what "genes" want, the purpose of sex is self-destruction.

Well you started with the claim that "physical work is measurable" but that only addresses a very narrow corner of physics. For example if you stand and hold a 50lb weight in an outstretched arm how much physical work are you doing? If you put a glass of boiling water and a glass of ice in a bag, you can compute the energy of the system. But work must be done to keep one glass boiling and the other glass frozen, since the laws of thermodynamics will drive energy from the boiling water to the fro…

/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/21 11:24 PM

I'm not sure it actually is easy to quantify as physical changes unless you accept that no physical change actually does represent work. Nature has a natural tendency toward decay (increase in disorder/entropy), and merely maintaining order takes quite a bit of work.

I have such mixed feelings about them. Like when I was their age that looks fun as hell. But... could you imagine if it were africans... or whites? But maybe there are videos like them made by africans or whites but nobody watches them? There's an article where a journalist went deep into wtf these videos are and where they're coming from and it's basically poor people in SE asia making videos and whenever they randomly do something that viewers and the algorithm likes they get a payday. Have you found the ones with little asian barely-clothed boys who pretend to live in the jungle catching food, cooking and eating it in very exaggerated smacking while acting like they're non-verbal and behaving like the apes from the opening scenes of 2001 just after the teacher slab arrives? My kids started watching those nonstop a while ago and it sent me down quite a rabbit hole trying to figure out wtf about it.

Stopped reading at the house of cards assumptions that u/Mysterious-Lake-9124 just takes for granted: Now, prima facie, it would seem reasonable to assume two things: a greater number of past sexual partners ("body count") is correlated to a more unrestricted sociosexuality, and that people with unrestricted sociosexuality would be less optimal partners, than people with restricted sociosexuality, in a long-term relationship where sexual exclusivity is required. Probably, but I'd likely lose interest tbh. I'd respect her more if she cheated. Negotiating an open relationship just seems like an attempted soft breakup. Would be hard to tell whether it's actually something she wants, or if it's some shit test or some agency-lacking begging to be dumped. So actually I guess I'd probably just dump her for even asking.

/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/21 03:03 PM

Well that's not worst case for the cheater. For the non-cheater it's a special case under the second, but again it doesn't apply to the cheater so it's irrelevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/21 02:21 PM
2

The cheater would be dead bedrooming their main partner. That doesn't have to be the case at all? And you've got it backwards. It's more common that the LL's frigid disinterest and lack of enthusiasm contributes to the HL cheating.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/21 01:55 PM

Because guys are now having to deal with women who are only half-present in reality anymore. The result is guys are forced to compete harder for women's attention. This causes sex to decline which leads to an increase in porn use. Basically more effort is required for the same "reward". It's like a pay cut. Of course people are dissatisfied after a pay cut.

Well, Mississippi's "15 weeks" is based on when the fetus can feel pain so it's not arbitrary Edit: updated from previously when I confused this SC challenge with Mississippi's newer heartbeat law that is also being litigated.

/r/PurplePillDebate17/05/21 04:26 PM

Exactly. Why does anyone demand this of anyone else? If you want to be monogamous, that's something you can choose for yourself. But utimately, monogamy will become understood to be controlling and abusive. Cheating is a giant nothingburger.

/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/21 11:34 PM

Yeah but I don't think benevolent sexism has anything to do with blaming or seeing fault in the husband or boyfriend when the woman cheats. The sense that the man failed as a keeper of the woman is inherently patriarchal in nature.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/21 08:31 PM
2

What I've taken from studies of long term outcomes of divorce (including studies of relationship stability of children of divorce) is that the general rule is: kids need stability and safety. If a marriage is unstable and unsafe environment (parents fighting, causing drama, violence, etc) then divorce that provides improvements in stability and safety also improves long-term outcomes for the kids and the quality of their relationships. I these studies, children of married parents who do provide …

Well, what I mean is that people actually doing things get to define how they are done. For example farming is defined by what farmers do. And having kids is defined by what people who have kids do. People who don't have kids are like people who don't farm. They can make demands like consumers demanding organic farming or GMO, but ultimately they're not actually involved in decisions of family structure. But the other side is family structure is malleable because it's not genetically coded. So I…

So I think an additional angle to this is that because everybody's delaying marriage as much as they are there's less time to "grow together" and everyone is more "set in their ways" and less plastic. So it's more about assembling fully formed rigid adults together rather than two somewhat squishy proto-adults who will then complete solidification together. Dunno about the infidelity part. There is still this patriarchal idea that if a woman cheats it's because of something the man did. But I al…

In the South, hospitalized cases are 20% what they were at the peak and ICU use is also 20% of peak. If people don't want to get vaccinated, that's on them. The hospitals aren't anywhere near crisis from what I can tell and we're mostly back to business as usual.

Generally, I think your OPs take too long before you introduce the skeleton of your thesis or assume definitions and are too difficult to read so people build their own ideas of what they think you are trying to say given the parts that make sense to them. So the "disingenuous" claim comes from that not matching what you're actually trying to say. You tend to have clickbaity neg-style titles, (which is good) but you really need to cut to the chase of the argument. Disclosure: I did start to read…

Realistically, there will be men from ages 18 – 40 competing for women in the age range of 18 – 30, which means there are 56 million men competing for 28 million women, or two men competing for one woman. I was replying to this breathless statement in your OP about effect. If we assume uniform sex/age distribution then that men-per-woman measure will be (40-18)/(30-18) = 1.8 which is pretty close to "two men competing for one woman" already.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/21 04:22 PM

Doesn't seem valid to compare different size age brackets like that. I guess maybe I might be less dismissive if you run that mismatched comparison historically to contextualize it to show how much of an actual change it is.

I mean you can say they didn't believe in premarital exclusivity but they also married way younger. I think monogamy is very much more on the nurture side of things (and our capacity for those changes in mere generations is clear evidence it's cultural rather than intrinsic). Once culture has abandoned monogamy (it has) and there's also no practical benefits (there are none) then it's gone and merely a relic of the past. Monogamists will be wierdo fringe people living on ranches in the desert.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/21 04:10 PM
1

Is it? I guess that would make sense to strengthen the taboo against cheating while pushing divorce, co-parenting, open marriage and other forms of normalized non-monogamy. It's like the trash compactor scene in Star Wars. The taboo is the walls closing in and non-monagamy is the open door. So regardless, the writing's on the wall for monogamy.
