The proper response to that maniac would have been "lol k". The best move is just to not argue with them when they start going down the "how dare you, we'll say any random thing to make you look bad even if it doesn't make logical sense" path. You found a narcissist. Yay. lol. They don't want to talk about what you posted. They want to talk about - and ONLY about - how you're a bad person because it makes them feel like they're a better person for "calling out assholes", yet they fail to see tha…

Maybe. I used to find people like that funny, but less so these days. It's almost like it's demanded that people find them funny, and if you don't they double down. After dealing with actual narcissist IRL, you really lose a lot of sympathy for behavior like that I guess. :/

Don't worry about convincing them. If they don't act like they want to hear your side, walk out. Don't go back. It sounds like you've encountered a narcissist at work. You have to learn to not respond to their bullshit. Look up "gray rock technique" and also look into manipulative tactics that narcs use. Once you can see the patterns, you can start moving forward. :) But yeah, I would consider walking straight out if possible/necessary. You might work for them, but you don't owe them a damned th…

Ignore her, she doesn't matter anymore. YOU matter. Do you have hobbies? Work? Get busy and stay busy. It's going to suck for a while. Don't fight the suck. Acknowledge how you feel. But when you can, stay busy doing stuff for yourself that you enjoy just because you can. You've got this.

This, OP. This. Any evidence you get, get it to your attorney asap. Keep notes. Record everything. NO conversations in person unless you're recording it. Best to do everything through text/email, get those copies to the attorney. Also, for your sake, start blocking her on all social media and DO NOT look at it. She'll use that to make you angry. Also...don't put anything on your social media that they might want to use against you. Follow the standing orders (if your county has them), and if you…

She's no longer your friend. If she's done nothing but laugh at you and ridicule you for working your ass off, then she's not your "partner", either. I would advise that when you make your move, you 100% cut off all communication with her. This isn't negotiable. No text, no phone, no social media. Nothing. Block her and never speak to her or anyone that sides with her in any way. You've got this. Go get the rest of your life.

I thought toxic masculinity meant that men are expected to be stoic, invincible, not at all vulnerable or in need of help, inhumanly strong providers who should lift others up. So men's emotional needs are invalidated within relationships (statements like men are animals, only care about booty get thrown around) and are discouraged from opening up emotionally before their male friends, family (man up) and romantic partners. That's what feminists say when you call them on their bullshit. If you…

No, I'm concluding that they are acting like they have brain damage. They clearly don't because they know that they're acting silly, but they demand you excuse the behavior. You know, like young children. Or brain damaged people. You're trying to make this into something that it isn't. Being brain damaged is one thing. Acting brain damaged is another. It's acting, and you're falling for it.

O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. In what way? Is the stalker freaking out because he's afraid of going to jail? What's going on with them?
/r/MensRights08/07/20 09:57 PM

Look, you need to let those two people sort it out for themselves. If she told him to stop, and he's asking you to get this information, he's using you to stalk her. Stop helping them.
/r/MensRights08/07/20 08:34 PM

Ok. Don't send messages between them...for your own safety. Get out of it. Do not help either of them, or else you can get into trouble for participating.

You're a mediator between the stalker and the girl being stalked? Am I understanding this correctly?
/r/MensRights08/07/20 08:24 PM
6

That doesn't actually matter. The sooner you understand that the stalker is LUCKY that she didn't escalate it to the police, the sooner you'll find closure. The reasons for her not escalating do not matter. That's her business. It's time to close the case and leave it alone. Unless you've got more details to this case that you're intentionally leaving out, it seems pretty straightforward. What is your relationship to these people? Why are you trying to figure out why she didn't go to the pol…

I did read the whole thread. I'm assuming you are the "stalker", correct? I believe this because of 1) how you've worded everything and 2) your defense of the "stalker".
/r/MensRights08/07/20 08:15 PM
5

The stalker needs to grow up, accept that he was rejected, and move on with his life and leave the girl alone. Her not calling the police doesn't mean she's okay with the stalking.
/r/MensRights08/07/20 08:14 PM
3

I get what your saying. But the problem isn't big, is it? It honestly sounds like you're trying to excuse the stalker.
/r/MensRights08/07/20 08:13 PM
6

I understand what you're asking. The stalker is still to blame. Whether she takes action or not does NOT excuse the stalker. Period. The stalker got lucky that he didn't end up in prison, so the stalker needs to stay away from this girl.

Yes, it's a concern. She's saying that to manipulate you. The correct response is "well, get used to me not being around" and file. Start documenting everything, record audio if you can, and prepare for a shitstorm. But put some distance between you and her. Saying stuff like that isn't okay, and it shows that they don't respect how you feel about them.

I'm gonna take this a step further and say "don't trust, this is war". It may be a polite war, but it's still going to be war. If she's being super cooperative, but refusing to talk about the relationship...she's very likely hiding something. There's going to be a lot of shit that could go wrong. To be fair, even Reddit and Facebook (both of which allow far more characters) still have arguments such as: "who hurt you", "bruh", "incel", and "lol you sweet child". The limit on characters isn't really that big of a deal when your average tardigrade can only use quips and rap/pop lyrics to argue a point. And when you actually are successful in arguing against them: "ok boomer", "IDC", "gross". It's the users, not the platform.

It's weird how they basically define "empowerment" as "cutting others down to make ourselves feel better". They're not even trying to move the baseline, they're just trying to make everyone perform worse than they are so that they can claim that they are "eMpOwErEd" when really...they just aren't. Right. But this seems to effectively take the accuser out of the equation, leaving only "we have an anonymous report that you did x thing, and that's not okay". It's ALMOST like they made this app to help people who are actually being harassed (which is ok) but the catch is that it also protects the accuser via anonymous submissions (which is dangerous and also protects false accusers). Basically it removes the option to be called a liar for someone wanting to use it maliciously.

^ This. She's already checked out, op. She's trying to let you down easy, but the thing is the longer she hangs out, the more likely it's going to turn into you + cliff = yeet. You need to focus on yourself. Do things you enjoy, work out, smile. That might get you somewhere, but in the highly likely event that she's already talking to someone else, it'll also help you bounce back. Stay calm. Document everything. Stand up for yourself.

The reason she says she's scared of you is twofold. 1) It makes people think you're abusive 2) It makes you question whether or not you're abusive It's nonsense. If she's saying that, you don't need her in your house. Get rid of her for your own sanity. Start documenting everything that you can, get an attorney, then get her gone.

If you go to a restaurant and they don't serve you because you're a certain race, then leaving a "review" (okay, yeah, a complaint) would be acceptable. The restaurant would probably delete it. I'm not arguing for/against you, I appreciate what you're saying. I didn't have anything to do with this event, this church, or the complaint. My ex tried to give me crap about "the feminization of poverty" after she moved out...but before she took a massive pay raise, then handed over primary custody to me without much of a fight, then got put on child support, and last week stepped down to a lower paying job, is trying to get it reduced while living in a mobile home her mom bought for her (she paid full price and the ex only has a $350/mo lot rent) because she can't afford the $220k house her mom was buying for her in her mom's name …

I propose that DNA tests should be mandatory upon birth of a child, just so there are no questions. That will solve most of the issues that arise from these situations. No match? Free option to leave with zero repercussions. If they choose to say, they sign docs stating that they are waiving their right to walk away, then there's nobody to blame except themselves. And if things go south after that...well, that's on them. At least the custody/support part is set at that point.

Which, at least in Texas where I live, is illegal. Employees legally can...and should...be able to discuss wages. The reason companies make these policies is so that they don't have to be held accountable when someone gets upset, whether for a good reason or not. They make the threat that they will fire you if you tell anyone what you make, but if they DO fire you for that, you can sue them. If the company doesn't want an issue, they'll have a pay structure that they're open about.

Sorry man. You'll make it, and it's going to really, really suck. Get busy doing things you want to do. You don't really have to talk to her outside of mediation and/or court. I agreed with you, elaborated on the point a bit, then you came out with the "who hurt you" nonsense (which is insanely unoriginal and designed to shame and attack people). If he's smart, he took pictures of the condition and sent them to the landlord OR had the landlord inspect the property. With proper documentation, if she trashed the house, she could end up in some really hot water. I mean, it's still a risk, and she'll feel justified...but if he did proper CYA he'll be alright in most cases.

It generally depends on the circumstances and where the event takes place. In Texas, if a man sees a woman getting robbed and he steps in, punches the robber, then the robber dies, odds are he would be questioned but charges wouldn't be filed because the laws here allow us to defend other people from assaults and stuff. So, it really does depend a lot on where you live and the ideology of the people running the show.

Looking at an ex's social media is NOT EVEN CLOSE to stalking. Don't think I'm angry at you, but this is another one of those silver bullet phrases that gets thrown around by women all the time.

I understand that feeling. One thing that helped me get past that is this: what you feel and what really is are two very different things. Learn to separate the two. Damn. Well, from what I've learned about narcs, it's pretty much a 100% shot at them trying to come back...once they aren't getting the attention/fuel they want from someone else. The problem is that they know how to push every button you have, they know what you need/want emotionally, they know how you operate, and they WILL exploit it. From what I can tell, it's very, very rare that a narc coming back will ever work out well. Often, they just repeat the discard again, but it's worse every …

She's talked about it off and on over the past year. But early on (after I found out she was sleeping around with multiple dudes), she said something like "I love you, maybe we can work on this in a year or so...but I'm not going to only see you. I'm going to see other people." She even talked about it a month ago. Two days before mediation where she basically fought harder to keep her criminal boyfriend allowed to be around our son than for our son to stay with her. I'm not going to lie. Th…

When my narc ex and I split up (one year ago tomorrow), I was pretty much destroyed. I started working quickly to improve myself with the hope that I would "win" her back by being what she wanted. The only thing was that I was far too bluepilled at the time. But after a bit, I decided that I was going to do it for myself. Not for her. I would either be better with her, or better without her. Either way, I would be better. Fast forward to today. I'm better without her. But I'm still better. A…

Even if you find someone you want to be with, it's not worth chasing.
