Women my age are impossible to deal with and have even worse expectations. I have dated from 27 to 39.

I have tried everything under the sun, and nothing works. Im not interested in women any longer. It really is not worth it. I play the field. I attract a lot of women. But they are all garbage.

I thought I had learned about women, so I decided to try dating again. I have nobody to rant to. It has been nothing but disaster and disappointment. My latest disappointment hurts even more. I had met a 27 year old. I am 38. I had high hopes for her because I could see the potential in her. I have a 7 year old girl. She had a 6 year old girl. I don't mind the idea of kids as I wanted more kids, and my daughter would like a sibling. So, I treated this girl differently. She told me all about her …

And honestly, if you are getting laid, you already are a beast. WOMEN WANT YOU. You got this man.

If it is nothing medical, and I would say it probably isnt... what you need to do is some quick and dirty work on yourself. Most likely your problem is an irrational fear of not being able to please a woman. What happened in your past has nothing tondo with you. Don't dwell on this past at all. I want it removed from your head. What you are going to do with your new girlfriend is take off her clothes and unleash your inner BEAST. You dont start off with your little soldier. Make out with her. 10…

I saved some documents. It will tell the story if my daughter ever wants to know. I dont want it to seem one sided. I feel she has to know that I tried to hold the family together and it was not my idea. My daughter is good at hiding her feelings.

Things are going pretty good for me, but I still feel weird. I found a 27 year old woman who actually wants to be with me. I am 38. This alone should end my funk. But it doesn't. I think I may permanently feel a bit... off... until my child reaches adulthood and I no longer ever need to deal with ex. Its a very long road to recovery. 0 contact with ex has helped most. I think for both of us to be honest.

So true. My parents are the absolute worst at this. No comforting words at all. My dad never says a damn thing it secretly pisses me off. Everyone just pretends like nothing happened. They ask why I am not saving more money. I said, do you realize I literally lost everything and bought my house twice and all new possessions in fucking 6 months. Ugh.

I have never shared this with anyone online... but here goes. 3 years before my divorce, we were using a public daycare. I should note, I live in Canada. Everything was terrific until one day I get a phone call from my spouse. She was at the police station. The daycare had called child services because there was a mark on my childs belly. They were FORCED to go to a doctor for a physical examination. My wife was interviewed by police. My child was interviewed by police. Without a parent. After a…

My ex spouse said during divorce that I never helped with our child. My ex worked 12 hour shifts and weekends. I literally put in more time as a parent than her. When she came home I already had our daughter sleeping. I was a single parent on weekends my whole child age life. She complained about chores. Now when I see inside her house its a fucking dump and the grass is pure weeds enough for neighbors to complain about her. Women are fucking clueless and have zero accountability. She can fuck o…

Criminal in nature. This probably goes deeper than just you. If the media got a hold of this, it would sure make a good investigative piece. Goimg to need forensic accounting. I would be talking to management where all these people work. They will not see kindly to this. They have people in banking that look at this. No way she gets away with it. You are probably looking at reclaiming 100 percent of your assets and she will be in prison. Its not a loophole she is using its fraud. Literally mortg…

The world is weird, and it can change fast... Went on Tinder today ( which I would never really recommend ) and matched with a girl near me who recognized me from seeing me in passing. I am 38. She is 27. At 5 foot 10, she is taller than me. Crazyness. You know what did the trick? I took all the simp shit out of my profile and said exactly what I want. Which is nothing serious.

My take, don't tell her. Let her find out some other way. It will show her how little you care about her now. This will eat away at her more than anything. Telling her could backfire into her potentially saying something mean that will make you angry. This is a situation for you to grieve. Spend the energy on people that love you. She had her chance. My condolences.

When my turd of a woman moved out I had pretty much no furniture. I built a table from 2x4s and sat on a folding camping chair. It was both sad and hopeful. Now everything is back to normal and I type from my power recliner. 🤣

Dont give up. The immense pain is temporary. I was there. Gun under my chin sitting in my basement. Things will slowly improve, one tiny bit at a time. Eventually, you will regain some peace. It will not be easy, but it will happen. Life can be rebuilt. I wish you luck.

You appraise house. She appraise house. Average value. She gets half value of what you have paid off, if you have mortgage. If you have no mortgage she gets half of whole value. Yikes. Been there done that. 60k lost for me.

Get your finances and head correct first before dating. If you think you can't afford to date... you probably shouldn't. You can have plenty of dates with not much cost... with the right woman... but don't expect miracles. Pay down debt, allocate for children, treat yourself... then date last.

One day at a time. I wish I had the answers. 2 years in and I struggle. Ive missed a lot of time with my daughter. But my daughter loves me and we have a great time together. My goal is to maintain this into her adulthood. Its about all I can do. The ex pops in from time to time and I think she realizes she fucked up. But what can you do... I never chose this path.

All valid points. When I was in my 20s I never thought about any of this. I was happy. Finally found a woman that loved me. Hell I even cried after I proposed! I used to think how could anyone get divorced... that wouldn't happen to me. Your whole world gets smoked by a train at 200mph. Now I question everything going forward. Yoh know the worst part? It seems like everyone here is making over 100,000, in this case 250K+ which is definitely above normal. More to life than money. Money is honestly why alot of relationships fail. Happiest people I know are not rich at all.

She is using manipulation. Dont feel bad, your child will not suffer. Spend the money when you are together. She is just like every female... master manipulator. She needs a 2nd job. Lazy ass.

If you find her attractive, GO FOR IT. Maybe this could turn into something more. Go have a nice time out. Enjoy the food and if something happens, it happens. This outing will give you the confidence to feel desired and get over your divorce. Remember, this woman finds you attractive. It's a huge confidence booster.

You are 22 and know absolutely nothing. Start with that. I am not knocking you, it just is what it is. You are going to stop drinking, period. You are going to start saving every dollar you can. Fun is off the table. Make exeption when with family and thats it. Stop talking to ex. Only about child. Your emotions will fuck you over worse. You need serious rebuilding. It will take years. ZERO DATING. Slap yourself if you think dating is for you now. Focus on family. Money. Housing. That's it.

Yes. I compare it to those old people you see who just don't give a fuck. They say what they think and could care less. I used to be timid around women... now I tell them how it is. The funny thing is they respect you more.

I could never pay. Need to be desired. I go without. I've had sex since my divorce, and it wasn't that great. In one week, I probably had more sex than several years while married. I even had sex with 2 different women in one day. But it still isn't the same as genuine desire with someone you love. Maybe I'll have that one day again... Being a man whore is very easy. Women want to get laid, too. But you might be surprised at your disappointment. Im happy going without. For now.

I met someone on Bumble who passed out drunk when I met them on a first date and was charged with a DUI hit and run. I literally had to call the cops on this lady. We basically walked into resteraunt, and she passed out. I called 911 for medical help and when police showed up they were looking for her already. It was a complete disaster. It has set me back on dating big time. I still can't believe it happened. This was a Wednesday at 4pm....

This is a weird thread.... but I will mention this.... When my spouse still lived with me my cat used to scratch everything. All the wood. Now that its just me no more scratching. Pretty interesting. Looked into it and seems to be a stress response. So even my cat feels better.

Men will almost always turn down money when it is offered to them. Its an issue of pride. You are most likely entitled to a very good deal for yourself. Her family probably knows this. The ball is in your court. As someone who was fucked over for money and will be paying for 10 years yet, I say get the damn money. Fuck her.

Yep. This is pretty much me. I might be a step farther... the sex doesn't do it for me either. I'm literally pumping away at some woman, and I can't even finish. I don't even want to. She's all .... this is amazing.... and I think about what else I'd rather be doing.

I may have plowed a 3/10 at my lowest. It is not worth it. I've dated a lot and just now realize that I will probably never be satisfied with a relationship, so why bother.... But I can't recommend it to anyone else. Everyone is different. My biggest realization was that I thought I missed sex... then I had sex.... and it didn't feel good. It was my main driver of another relationship... so why bother if it still feels empty? I can cook, clean. Fuck, I baked a cake the other day. Don't need wome…

I've been there.... several times, to be honest. When life sucks and everything seems impossible, just remember that it's not worth killing yourself over some woman. You will get through it. Theres tons of us out there. Just venting here is a good start. Sometimes, you just have to get it off your chest. I have to work cash side jobs to make ends meet. It's not easy, but I am trying to enjoy life again.

It depends how much you are willing to try. Trust me, it is possible for anyone to meet someone. Personality is way more important than looks. It takes confidence. You will fail more than win. I am more successful with women when I am in a good mood. If I think nobody would ever look at me... they wont because I am probably not looking at them either.

She will have her new mans resources and yours. This wasnt a shit test. She is feeling it out. Guarantee all her divorced friends are coaching her. She just needs the man. Be on guard.

I've been trying to date lately, and it's been a straight-up disaster after disaster. The only women I match with online are divorced. Most never tell you if they have kids until later. Or how many little fuckers. I had to give myself a smack because I was talking to someone with three kids. 19, 15, 12. Wtf am I thinking. Update if nobody but me reads it. Had another date today. Nothing fancy. Another activity date, then sat for coffee. Gave her some vegetables from my garden. Im probably moving too slow but I feel comfortable.

You seem to know where you went wrong... and maybe it was your attitude. But you are 28 years old. You have so much to look forward to. If anything you can learn from this and level up as a man. To be honest looking at your ages good chance your relationship isnt done. I bet she will take you back yet.

Your divorce was finalized and then you drunk smashed your ex wife? Did I read this all right in thread? Noooooo. You never do this again. Your ex could go nuclear and say you raped her. Just walk away.

This sucks to read. I would feel bad if it happened to me. No idea how I would process it. I think instantly I would be out, gone and never speak to them again. Ever.

Since you are so conflicted, I believe you are most likely not ready to end it. Your spouse has to make a committed effort to improve and demonstrate improvement. If she has an alcohol problem, that is on her. If she is not willing to stick it out, I would be worried. Most stories I have read here of couples counseling have nkt worked well. Women are often first to end things when the heat is directed at them. It's an accountability issue. If it was me I would try to make things work... but I wo…

A ton of matches dont mean much. On some apps I had little luck, others lots. I have had probably 20 matches in a few months. I dont swipe on everyone. From all my matches I have only wanted to date 1. I could day I have talked to 20 women.... but realistically I have talked to about 5. If you dont have a phone number and off the app its meaningless. Some people like to date and mingle with a lot of people. Id rather focus on 1. As for dating after divorce... not until you have rebuilt yourself.…

/r/Divorce_Men15/06/23 04:49 AM

This is the issue! I live in a smaller community. We are bound to meet eventually. I will probably just tell my ex respectfully that I am seeing someone and let her know they are not involved with the childs life. I would never alter our parenting time to setup dates.
/r/Divorce_Men15/06/23 02:42 AM
1

Edit. Setup a coffee walk or breakfast after gym. Its such a win. I guarantee you will both be in better spirits after a workout. And its not super expensive! This is a good thing to do after you have been dating a long time. It keeps things fresh. Just change up the ideas. Walk. Bike. Check out farmers market. Good dates get the bigger treatment. You segway into it. Random gym date segway to a pro massage you book. You gettin in the good books easy.
/r/Divorce_Men15/06/23 02:38 AM

True. I notice some women come on extremely strong and you almost have too much in common. Thats why you take them on active dates. Oh you kayak? Lets go kayaking. You will find out fast if they are legit.

Yes. Exactly.
/r/Divorce_Men14/06/23 10:33 PM

Gym date is a massive gamble. We chat before the workout. Do our thing mostly alone during workout. Chat after workout. Guess what is easy to setup? More gym dates. It's low pressure because there is something to do.

The difference between men and women is that men will hold each other accountable for their actions. I cannot support cheating on a female no matter what occurred. The proper course of action is to end the relationship before this happens. You can blame her then.

I can understand the abruptness if when things end. It doesn't matter your profession, anyone would go through the same emotions. If I were you I would definitely use this as a moment of reflection... maybe this can make you into a better lawyer. Experience. Do not get side tracked from your career. I would kill to be your age again. I would love a career do-over. I think admitting what you did wrong and learning for the future will make youa better person. The past cannot be changed, but you could repeat it. Dont repeat it.

It sucks because you are living through the childrens eyes.... d Something men do, but women can't because they are completely selfish. They cant see how their choices effect anyone else. You will never make sense of it. The best way to explain it to you is that women operate on feelings and men operate on facts. Its a fact you provided income and a nice family home. Its how her life felt to her in the moment was not right. You say 2+2 is 4 but for her 2+2 can feel like less. Nothing you could do unless you could read her mind. This woman will never be happy. Thats a damn fact.

Good points. I knew my immaculate record keeping would come in handy one day and it did during my divorce. I was able to find everything I needed quickly and easily with no stress. I had one sitdown meeting with my lawyer, the ex and her lawyer. I brought an entire portable filing cabinet with me. Her lawyer joked and said I never met someone who carried more paperwork than me.... but it seriously intimidated them. I was always 10 steps ahead and he knew my ex was a scatterbrain.

Theres always women that are just as lonely as you are. But the sex isn't worth it. I meet people through work I guess. They know I will not start a relationship with them. Overall its not really worth it. I don't even want to do it anymore.

The biggest thing I learned AFTER divorce is that women want the exact opposite of what I thought they did. I was the definition of a "nice guy" and I thought everything I did was gaining me respect, but it was the opposite. Very frustrating. If I want another relationship I know what it takes.... but I don't miss much. I don't miss sex anymore. I get laid about once a month now. Probably more than end of my relationship to be honest.

I think your stress is anxiety of waiting for the outcome. Deep down you know what you have to do but are a bit scared. You will feel better as the dominoes fall into place. First step is the initial lawyer meetings. Eat some bland meals for your stomach at the moment. Rice. Toast. Go for walks. Get some sun in the early morning. Lots of water. Make yourself a checklist of things to do and just focus on them and nothing else to stress you. Face problems that come up one at a time or you will get…

Ive read so many stories of divorce shortly after moving to a new home. This perplexes me greatly. Ive always read that women check out of relationships way before the actual divorce.... but why go along with a move? Women make no sense. When I was divorced I blamed myself so much. What did I do wrong? Hell even my parents were upset with me.... how could you get divorced! But I never left. She did. You already know all the good you did. You just have to reprogram your brain. Women will manipulate your thinking into somehow you were all to blame.... its because they have zero accountability. Zero. It will take you atleast a year to feel better.

Titles are indefinite. If my name was on land from my parents with good intentions in 1985 its still part in my name. Many do this for succession planning in family business. But the wife will scoop up what the mans family thought they would give so nicely. Nobody thinking of divorce during this....

You have to watch what is in your name. Need to research the probate process for estates.
/r/Divorce_Men19/04/23 03:39 PM

And it can get more confusing.... at best case it could be she is entitled to half of the increased value of the property since your name was on title.
/r/Divorce_Men19/04/23 01:28 PM

The lesson to be learned is to be aware of what property titles you have with your childrens name on them. If my name was on any, I would have been giving away 50 percent of my 50 percent share of the land. In my case, she would be entitled to $640,000. No way I could pay that without selling. Make sure your "good deeds" dont end up hurting you and your children in the case of divorce.

You are way too focused on getting laid. You will have greater success if you live life without a care but interact with women better. As soon as you say "not best looking guy" I know your confidence is low. Women can see this plain as day. Keep your head held high. Level up yourself as best as you can. Grooming, clothes, body. Learn how to talk to women. It's the difference between friendzone and something else. Be a bit mysterious and interesting. Have playful conversations. Get her laughing. …

I think you are more concerned with how this makes you feel and limit or pretty much ignore how you made her feel. That is what you will have to work on. Understanding how you make others feel. Women operate on feelings especially.

You fucked up. Here is the weird thing..... women will forgive a cheater. Some.... some... view the competition over a man as a challenge. Women dont like being challenged. She could very well hate you, but knows that other women find you desirable, and that is what she will focus on. After a divorce nothing enrages a woman more than seeing her ex with a new woman, especially someone better looking. You had a chance and it was blown. Even if she took you back, the second you drop lower in her mi…

I have not received anything like an apology... the closest is she finally did admit how she left me was wrong. I don't want to get into it too much but my ex spouse left me via text message. After 10+ years dumped via text. I tried having a conversation once with her just saying to each other what we each did wrong but it was so one sided I just laughed. No accountability whatsoever. Women are delusional. They think they are all 10s and never do anything wrong. They run on feelings not facts.

It kinda sounds like you settled for her. I think a lot of people do this. They get frustrated or worried they wont have a family so they shack up with someone they like... but realize later the attraction isnt strong. They dont use logic, just feelings. If she sees you happy and she is upset over money, she will assume you have more than you actually do because why is he so happy? Just an example. Also, even if you gave 100 percent, it wouldn't be enough for her vengeance. The kids will grow to hate her attitude towards you if you stay a good parent. They are observant. She probably has rants to all her girlfriends, and they reassure her feeding the delusions.

My parents helped me with down payment on my house I purchased with ex. Her parents gave nothing. She was entitled to half of the value, including the gift. Probably need to ask a lawyer.

It's possible to get this desired outcome, but it may not go as planned. You need to act now. Whether she is seeing someone else or not does not matter. What is sad is she is going against nature. No maternal instincts. Sad. You gotta be the best parent ever now. You sound like a solid guy. Best of luck but be prepared if she changes her tune.

Number 1.... please talk to someone, even here, to get the depression off your chest. You will get through this. I understand the overwhelming sadness in your post. I feel like I could have wrote this. I never shared this part of my story before, but your post inspired me to get this off my chest. Several years ago I tried to convince my spouse to move so we could run the family business. It was a farm. I was an only child. My spouse would not move. Slowly, she destroyed my spirit. My family far…

Lots of reading if with younger children. Instead of hide and seek I play treasure hunt where I hide a small prize in the house. Summer lots of gardening, bike rides, sports, park, splash park, fishing. Drawing, crafts, cooking. Teaching about chores.

If you got a 9+ with your stats, you should be writing a book on how to achieve this. Being married brings more women to you. If your wife was a babe I bet others wanted you bad. But this superpower is gone once she is. I attract no attention on my own now.

I never sold my house. I had it appraised.... 3 times by the time it was finished. Once by me, once by her and another time by my bank. Between her and I, we came to a figure. I paid her out and have a new mortgage now. It was not very hard.

Just letting you know I read the post, and I am here to listen. I hope you are able to deal with your situation as best as possible. Was this a relationship you got into quite quickly after your first divorce?

I used to have a hard time being in public after my divorce. I felt like people were judging me.... like they could see my failures. It was completely irrational. Delusional even. I did not want to go out. No way I could be in a relationship, I couldn't even look at another woman for some time. What really helped me was looking back and noticing her behavior that I didn't like, but put up with. Now I realize I won't have those moments. You won't have the good moments, but you won't have the bad …

Too many self-help gurus only focus on "leveling up" and becoming this alpha male nobody will care about. Kids are only young for so long. Some men value time with children highly. This guy needs more than income. Custody is not awarded by income.

You are definitely not fucked. You need to know what laws apply where you live. I dont know that answer. Most likely you will both end up moving unless someone buys out the other partner. The joint accounts is a fuckup in your situation. You need to watch that closely. My advice in your situation is to work with her agreeably so you can both part ways and keep what you have financially on both sides. Dont move yet. Id be looking into legal advice. Your not fucked.

Im sorry I have to comment again. This post set off something in my primate brain. This post made me angry. I can tell you are a good dude. Just from how you talk rationally about the house and finances.... you are a solid dude. But this woman is a damn child. You give her a good life she can't afford on her own. You fix the house to keep her cozy. All solid, stable things. But she wants to follow some stupid ass fairy tale dream in her head. The world is going to chew her up and spit her out. S…

You're not done until your divorce is finalized. I stayed good friends with my ex until everything was set in stone. They turn on a dime. She jokes with you that she is using guys for steak dinners. She ate your fucking heart for dinner.

Man - "Where do you want to eat?" Woman - "I don't know. You pick" But in divorce, they know exactly what they want. Everything is planned and organized. As a man, you never should have asked, "Where do you want to eat?" Instead, you should have said, "we are having steak tonight, wear that dress I like" It took a divorce to see how dumb I was. I never was a leader, and I paid the price by allowing her to take control. I think a good woman will follow. They dont divorce. Fact.

Just because common law marriage is not law does not mean future changes will not be retroactive. Only truly safe way is separate living situations. When you fall in love, you will probably forget everything anyway. Most men do. Live life, just keep on your toes.

She is looking for excuses to justify her feelings, which she can not control because she is a woman. It doesn't have to be rational because they are irrational. She is looking to provoke you so she can use it against you. Probably going to keep escalating in severity.

When my ex decided to abandon ship, it definitely did not go as she planned. My little girl would not sleep and would not adjust to living somewhere else. I stayed put in the house. My ex would routinely call me at night so I could calm my daughter down. It got to the point that I had to show up there to get things going smoother. But when she stays at my house, she sleeps like a baby. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure my daughter is happy. Many times, I had to bite my lip. It's better now.…

They have to be out there somewhere. I have a "if it happens, it happens" attitude to dating. Online is filled with damaged goods and kinda makes you believe its hopeless. If I focus too much on the thought of finding a woman I get depressed. When I met my ex I felt a huge relief thinking "finally this part of my life is complete" Gotta start again.

I totally hear you. Its been over a year now for me. The first year was brutal. I would be lying if I said I am back to normal. I might never truly get over this... but I think a good way to look at this is to not let an ex occupy real estate in your mind. Everything you miss, all the experiences are not just possible with your ex. They are possible with new women. It will just take time to detach from her. As men, we love our women more than they understand. Your a good dude. You just need to ad…

I've been there. Felt the same way. I'd try to meet new women and then feel guilt about being with them, thinking im blowing my chance with my ex-wife again. Give them an inch and they take a mile. You need to step it up big time. It sounds like she is in violation of your orders? Do the children enjoy spending time with you or do they seem conditioned to not talk to you? Seems like alienation. If she is coming up with excuse after excuse and you have been a good parent you probably could do better legally. I have not been in this situation, but Im sure somebody could chime in. Maybe you should try for more custody? Not sure how this works. The excus…

The more time goes on, the less interested I am in a long-term relationship. Not sure where I will end up. Im average looking but in great shape. Financially, I am ok but I dont know if it matters for me personally. The idea of finding a dream woman is long dead I think. Ideal relationship is with woman who understands were both fucked and just live life to have some fun together. Doubt it goes farther. I have too much to lose financially to fuck up again.

I feel like I dont have enough of her side to understand this. Something more is going on with her. Why would she want to move but still make no effort to see your child even with that being primary reason. What does she say if you ask her about that? Depression. Maybe she needs some kinda treatment. I understand your frustration.

When I was going through my divorce, her team (legal team) tried to drive me insane. I had what I would call PTSD halfway through. From day one, I did not put up with any legal bullshit. I sat down with my lawyer and hers and told everyone I am not interested in anything more than getting the best outcome for my child and that I am not interested in any conflict. Of course, they tried to start shit. They tried to stall everything. I said this is a simple matter and it can be solved in a few days…

I would not jump the gun on a move unless everything custody is finalized. Leaving the "marital home" is usually not a good thing when kids are involved. No matter how well you are getting along with the ex, it doesn't matter until everything is truly finalized. She could be telling you what you want to hear until then.

100 percent of men will go through this. This is what women do to obtain power. They need to be ignored. If you ignore a woman, they can't handle it. After the divorce, go live your life to the max. Destroy her mental state by being productive. Women are not productive. They contribute nothing and, without a male, basically learn the hard way. Your revenge is watching her fail at everything she does without you because you did everything for her.

Get a lawyer. If you know divorce is coming, the person that files usually has a slight advantage. Do not leave the marital home. Property laws vary by where you live. This why you need a lawyer. Good chance you will be able to keep whatever physical possessions you want. Dont focus on this. The child custody is the big one. Make it very clear this is important for you from day 1. Do not jeopardize this. Dont say anything stupid during divorce process. Do not even consider another relationship u…

Do not send your letter no matter how much you want to. My advice to you is to get the upper hand by proclaiming through your lawyer to your spouse legal side that you want the best outcome for the children and are only interested in cooperation to come to an immediate agreement. Your duty next is to become the best father you can. This will be your revenge. Document how hard you fought because one day all this truth will come out. You want to be the better person. The lawyers are sucking up her…
