I think Gym, Looksmaxxing, and NoFap aren't inherently bad - it's all about your reasons for choosing to do those things. I engaged with the gym and prioritised looksmaxxing for building a nicer physique to feel good about myself, by proxy, attract a partner. I engaged with Nofap to test my willpower and achieve a high level of self-control most people do not have (something which in my opinion is very worthwhile trying). Ultimately, it's just the fake confidence and the thoughts dehumanising ot…

Ultimately, it's better to let your brother do his own thing and not try to control his perspective, as trying to force an ideology will most likely have the opposite effect and he could grow to resent you. All you can do is be a positive female role model for him, ask him how he's getting on at school now and again, ask what he's reading, let him feel like he can be an open book with you explaining his viewpoints - take ideology and politics out of the equation and keep it on an individual basi…

Well, more often than not, I find that redpillers (or people that end up in this paradigm of thinking) are experiencing some form of mental illness. Generally, it's best to reach a person on an individual basis, as there isn't a 'one size fits all' solution to changing someone's perspective. More often than not, these men want to feel heard and understood, but the mainstream basically just does a shit job at acknowledging the new age issues and complications men face. While there is blatant sexi…

They have a very shallow worldview. They think men must be all money and muscles to attract a woman. But they're totally hollow inside, if you don't count all their jealousies, insecurities and idiotic assumptions. This could apply to young, toxic, or ignorant women that don't know what they want - this is way too broad a stroke to describe most women though. I honestly think money and muscles are more of a male projection of what's important for attraction - it can definitely play a part, but i…

You have a long way to go when it comes to discussing these kinds of topics. You might have good intentions, but you clearly don't understand male specific mental health issues society creates that redpill capitalises on. The fact you'd rope me in with someone like Tate demonstrates how ideologically possessed you are.

It just seems fairly obvious to me and I have explained in previous messages on things, but it's not getting through. All you've done is accuse me of the things you're ironically doing yourself. You literally just called me allsorts feeling you had a grasp of my entire person, so what's the point? (Which in its self is an e.g of a logical fallacy) I mean the stuff you were saying wasn't making any sense and I don't think it takes a psychologist to see you were offended and being reactionary to c…

your entire perception of this post is misogynistic. But how? Until you learn how to have a grounded conversation vs trying to battle. While it's true I started this thread as combative, it served as an engine to bring awareness to why some men become redpilled in the first place. stuff you're saying is just bizzare and completely lacking in any self awareness or accurate perception Again, how? I'm just trying to understand, I'm not trying to 'win'.

Point them out then? By all means, I'm always open to learning :) Edit: Again though, even saying you think something is the case, you still should elaborate as otherwise you're merely just implying it is just a fact, whereas, you're not actually explaining why it's the case.

Dude I've made no conclusions about you. That is a blatant lie. You called me a sexist based on nothing but you personally getting offended. For someone in your job you're not separating responses to what you say from personal attacks on you. If you work in my role you'll realise how complex mental health actually is and the subtle things can really make a big difference for people. Your approach is antagonising and unhelpful - you might feel like you're morally a good person, but how we approac…

I do think it would be worth you re-reading aswell, you were jumping to conclusions and quick to label things. Nothing about my approach was misogynist in nature - you engage in a horrendous amount of logical fallacies. In my opinion, your responses were a knee-jerk reaction and baseless conjecture to deflect criticism. Example: Ultimately I think your action on your perception of things is harmful. You state this like it's a fact and don't elaborate upon it. I think you do this to deflect, as y…

I'm not keeping track of scores? That was someone else that mentioned your downvotes (I couldn't give a fuck about them, personally). Other than that, if you cannot take criticism I really would suggest not put…

Sorry, are you actually dumb? Like, do you just class anyone that disagrees with you, or questions your opinions as 'weird'? You said i'm a sexist and all these other things - on top of that when you have no counter arguments you just resort to telling me I need to get a life etc.

Yeah but you're just a typical troll that adds nothing of substance to the conversation, I have every right to criticise something that's fundamentally flawed. The fact you're trying to give the whole "ahaha you're just mad, whatever" thing just shows how short-sighted you are to complex issues like redpill and truama.

Well I typically look at the root cause of the issue. Everyone is certainly different, but I really find it cringe how you're not a feminist and you're making such a big deal about the fact you're a girl, why can't you just see yourself as another person? The reality of the situation is you're doing this all for attention and anyone that calls you out for your own behaviour you make it out that they are a misogynist and hate all women, when really they are just calling you out singularly. Facts. You're the single person on this post to have problem. That's fine, but I have no issue with women at all. You're just saying that I hate women because you want to make it about that rather than face your own actions. It's fine, you don't need to reply. I hope one day you develop self-awareness and become a better person. All the best.

Whatever you say I guess. I see straight through you, especially more so with this condescending crap. You're not a psychologist, honey. You're just a classic bully and a coward that hides behind things and twists things to avoid criticism - you do you queen, but gaslighting doesn't work on me. You're trying to rope my "venting" in as an attack on all women, but it's just pointing out your own toxic behaviours as an individual. Seems you can't take criticism very well, but I know why.

I literally have said redpill is irrational and illogical, by proxy I do not support it. Oh my god, you're not special just because you're a woman, get over yourself honey. You have such a fragile ego. I'm not being negative to women as a whole, I'm just calling you out for your own shitty character flaws, that's all. It seems you can dish it out, but can't take it. Classic bully and a coward...

Can you here yourself? Why would I block, i find it good research material + they'll think it's some conspiracy or a weak woman thing to do. It's helpful to them to make fun of them in my opinion. And as if you're annoyed of me making light of being harrased? Seriously think about your standards here. What gets me about this is the fact you'll simultaneously infantilise yourself and make it clear 'I'm a girl!' - use that as a defense to deflect criticism, but see no issue with making fun of thes…

Oh ok that makes sense that you're not a feminist, that's much more relieving to know. I mean tbh I don't give a shit if you're a woman or a man, I think shitty people come in all shapes and sizes irregardless of their gender or sex. You clearly get off on what you do, just do it in a safe and consensual way please, we don't need anymore redpillers thanks.

Not really sure how this makes me a sexist, but ok? I'm just pointing out flaws in your own character - you can't use feminism as an excuse to be shitty to men, much like redpillers can't use redpill as an excuse to be shitty to women.
/r/ExRedPill14/02/23 07:55 AM

I don't think it's helpful to make fun of them, I think most men that end up in red pill have been traumatised by something. When you really break it down the redpill logic is irrational and dehumanising (it just screams of how a narcissistic person would view the world). I think some of them don't actually believe it, but think they need to because they've been hurt by toxic women in the past and feel shame and embarrassment of the emotional truama - by sticking to redpill, they hold onto anger…

Yeah I am an exredpiller. I'm obv talking about the ones who arn't lurking here for good reasons. Yeah that's fair enough, I just think it might be a good idea to always approach the topic (especially on Internet forums) as unbiased - I think it can trigger redpiller's truama if they see a girl talking about enjoying laughing at them and getting support for doing it. Obviously redpill rhetoric is nasty and hateful, but they are a reactionary sort, I think wording what we say is important because…

Even though you're calling them pathetic, doing this makes you as much of a loser as they are tbh How tf do people simultaneously think they are on the 'right' side, when they are tormenting and messing with the other side? It doesn't help anyone beside maybe bolstering your own ego temporarily...

It makes sense that redpillers would lurk here? It is a sub that's related to it after all. I think the main thing we can hope is these types eventually break down the cognitive dissonance and deal with their truama.

That's it, my incentive is to ensure i'm covered and safe - doing a good thing can blow up in your face sometimes, when that happens it really sucks and can put you off people for a long time. I try to prioritise my finances and comforts which ensure I have stability (and safety buffers for the future). Think about school shooters, incels, and people alike, typically they are disproportionately neurodivergent, disproportionately depressed, disproportionately socially isolated, but the narrative is always toxic masculinity being the issue - while that is a part of it, it's being addressed in such a way that doesn't dig into the motivations of these individuals and what leads up to it, rather they just become another freak show case for the MSM. They are toxic people. They unfortunately don't get called out enough for their shitty behaviour as they should, then again, emotional abuse isn't something to easily measure or detect, it's typcially spotted after the abuser has already gotten what they want. I also agree that character should supersede everything else, but the bitter reality is most people aren't like this. It's most certainly a dying breed of person these days. Red pill effectively presents a very cynical undertone to this reality, but it really isn't far from the truth. The real debate is how much is biologically innate behaviour and what is socially programmed. We live in an age of an ever growing, overly competitive, and parasitic form of capitalism. Some people really lose thei…

It's well established in studies that women are attracted to social status. I'd say it's difficult to not adopt superficiality on some level within a capitalist society. Those sorts of features are generally what makes someone's 'social status' differ within that system. Not that I agree with that of course, but most of the time people in general are going to judge you by your socio-econmic standing, occupation, connections, and appearance etc (consciously or subconsciously). If men want an issue to get addressed, like most groups in history they will have to work together to create resources and change. Most men are not used to having to organize and create community aid. Focusing your energy from getting women to understand , to creating resources for men is probably a more useful way to spend your time and energy. We need men's support groups, male teachers, male mentors, legal resources, men's shelters, addiction resources, raising money to aid with introducing l…

both based on your initial post, and the fact that you think you need to drop out of one if your life isn't perfect. Well given the fact my career involves me travelling a lot and my annual leave is predetermined, it really isn't easy to maintain the sort of deep intimate relationship I would like for the moment. You clearly don't know what dating is like for the younger generation then I guess.

Nope that's just your own bias conclusion, again... I do not expect women to give up their autonomy, that is ridiculous.

I've had success, it just hasn't been the case for my friend, but hey, since you like drawing a conclusion on your own bias assumptions I guess explaining this to you again is pointless. I know what a healthy relationship looks like, it's just because of my circumstances with my career and general health I can't maintain it to the best of my ability right now - I don't use women, I'm very clear with my intentions when I date and never play bullshit games. Again, perhaps it's how I've worded this…

Men would be less lonely if they pursued a relationship more than just sex. That is literally what my friend is doing? The ONLY way out of the catch-22 you put yourselves into, is to either level up your own attractiveness (in looks and character), or lower your own standards. What if you have a disability that impairs most of your movement and pretty much prevents you being able to lift weights and workout? This isn't even a "war of the sexes", it's just a self-destruction of healthy men, fuele…

I guess society when I really break it down. I have been educating myself on race, trans, and women's issues for the past year or so - making an active effort to understand. Not necessarily, I'd say society and the mainstream talk about women's issues far more than men's (if they even talk about men's issues at all!). Hell, most women I've spoken to don't even know about the disproportionate rates of suicide in men compared to women. It's not just about the attention aspect, rather, men's issues aren't ever even acknowledged by society at all, and the mainstream expectation is for people to care about women's issues, but hardly ever concider what men go through?
/r/ExRedPill27/09/22 04:27 PM

The question then is - what's in it for you? Why you think that this is important for you? How this "caring" would affect you, if that would be the case? Well I guess the idea of both genders looking out for and understanding eachover sounds like a neat idea, but I suppose that's not an easy outcome (or truly possible?) Perhaps I care too much about my friend and his experience, but I guess your suggestion is basically don't worry about it? Edit: Your other points have merit though.

Your issue is simple, you view the world as men vs women. The group of 4 billion men vs the group of 4 billion women. Why do you decide to divide the world in this way? Okay, you're making a loaded assumption about me here. I do not simply believe it is purely Men v Women in this world. I clarified that my post is talking specifically about a 'gendered issue' - this doesn't mean I as an individual completely ignore and disregard other variables outside of this post, such as disabilities, age, im…

You're right that I did suffer from it for a long time, but I wouldn't say I'm specifically trying to imply women are the problem singularly, but people in general. My loneliness came from the fact I spent years being socially ill-equip because of autism and having an unfortunate hand in caregivers growing up. Not true, I wouldn't say emotions are primarily self-inflicted. Women in this society can pretty much get away with insulting or degrading men for things they can't control and rarely face…

Why would you assume I don't care about the emotional state of others? I care about my friend's issue because he's a genuine person and just wants intimacy, but he gets judged for his height and looks quite often. But sure, since I made this post about sexual experience, I'll admit I'm looking for a long-term partner, but because of how dating is, it's mainly just flings. Well, I'd say the patriarchy and sexist heteronormative rhetoric that has been pushed for years, but through time I've realised people all have similar implicit biases in how they view and act towards men and women. The real challenge is disnquishing how much of it is biologically innate, and how much of it is expectations that were socially programmed into us. Edit: There is definitely elements of social programming, but also innate biological reactions that influence our behaviours towards men…

I would say it's isolation from feeling misunderstood, and that it isn't often I find profound emotional connections with most people. Sex itself can really have profound effects on mental wellbeing in both men and women, but of course you can have fulfilling emotional connections without sex being a necessity. Fact is though, most men aren't taken seriously for their mental health, and most men have a hard time building these sorts of connections because of the way society works.

Well, I believe the natural human condition is to be slightly dissatisfied - even when we get what we want, eventually we will get complacent. /r/ExRedPill24/08/22 08:08 AM

Of course not, but I suppose it depends on why someone wants to be rich and how exactly they aim to achieve it. Irregardless of our circumstances socially or economically, I believe it is natural for human beings to become complacent.

Jealousy is natural, although I think it's something we shouldn't normalise as a 'quirky' personality trait lol That dynamic can be draining for both people unless there is healthy communication. Just a weird thought I had. It could also create an even bigger inflation of beauty standards? I mean, if everyone can be 'attractive' and effectively programme any look they want, I wonder what new standards evolve - given that it would be digital, I reckon all kinds of freaky shit will become the next innovation. It's useful tool to bring someone out of these ideas, if you can break their logic apart from the inside you'll have a better chance of reaching them. There isn't always a clear method to label the playing field though. That is a multifaceted issue and often a very situational one depending on the context. /r/ExRedPill30/05/22 10:10 PM

No dipshit, I don't think women having less power is something biologically innate of them. What I'm advocating for is breaking down stereotypes and opening up equality of opportunity for everyone. The systemic biases surrounding the concept of patriarchy are the fabrics which held men and women in certain 'roles' and prejudices were formed. I'm an advocate for leveling the playing field and seeing how the outcome plays out. You are only seeing what you want to see, you are genuinely a joke.

Historical reasons, namely the elusive concept of patriarchy. The real puzzle is distinguishing that which is socially programmed and that which is biologically innate, however, I think in order to achieve a clear and coherent answer to this phenomenon, we must become gender neutral with our expections of others.

Therapy isn't accessible to everyone - especially the poor - which may explain why those spaces are full of low incomes and introverts. Other men have other places to turn, but these men are crying out for community support. A very important thing for people to concider mate. People can be utterly screwed over by their socio-economic background. It's why I think subs like this should be used to fill the gap for people which can't afford the healthcare.

Men and women are more similar than people realize. They can overlap in a lot of traits, and when you really think about it, there isn't really a lot of things men and women can practice socially that make them an inherently different species from eachover. Men and Women can both engage in masculinity and feminity. The huge difference (in my opinion) is how society socialises men and women for social utility - creating norms to serve a purpose. In my opinion, this system of social dynamics creat…

Maybe it would make sense to request a rule or something to support interacting with people in more constructive ways. That would certainly be a start. We would certainly need to brainstorm how this could be executed efficiently. "Perhaps one did not want to be loved so much as to be understood." - George Orwell

Agreed, although, constructive non-judgemental support groups can help encourage others to step out of their comfort zone. In general, therapy is the best solution - issue is that some redpillers/blackpillers lack the socio-economic purchasing power to participate in therapy, so support group is the only pragmatic solution.

Well, I don't think that is a fair interpretation of what I'm saying - you've appeared to have skipped me mentioning blurring the line gender esstientalism creates. For arguments sake, let's say that was the only take I made in my comment. In that case, I would refer to my original post: It is not possible for one ideology to have all the answers To put it bluntly - women here should stop being so eager to pull out the misogynist card and shame men because something they said disagrees with thei…

But then where do they go? There is no male safespace. We either blur the line gender essentialism creates, or instead - women should stop telling men how to be men, alongside men stop telling women how to be women. People seem to prefer pointing out an issue and not provide a pragmatic solution to it. Lonely disenfranchised people will always go back to something (in this case, men with redpill) if they have no sense of community.

All I’ve seen on this sub is incels looking for ways to justify their beliefs. You only see what you want to see. It's why you cherry pick comments and posts. You aren't here to offer healthy and thoughtful solutions. You just want to state the obvious and tear others down to feel better about yourself. If you don’t hate women yourself, I dare you to list three things you love about women. You will not be able to do it. As long as they aren't arrogant like you, I love em.

It's also definitely worth going to therapy. People can gain enlightenment about caregivers and maybe how that influences behaviour (attachment styles) and truama. Narcissistic parents can fuck you up, but once you learn how to stand up to them and be aware of their tactics, it's almost wild how much weight is lifted from your psyche.

I think it's worth trying out therapy and maybe taking SSRIs or perhaps anti-anxiety medication. Everyone on some level has mental health issues bro, some cases are just more extreme than others. I'm all for economic equality as long as it is realistically sustainabile. If the policy is future proof or works as a net positive (generating more efficency and covering the cost) then that is great, and if what you say is true regarding tax, then fair enough. My main concern is the social dynamics between men and women, that is an inequality I think is very concerning. This is like saying to people who have diabetes or heart disease who want universal health care “you should have thought about how much insulin is before you ate that candy”. Please. Shouldn't women (namely couples) take these economic factors into consideration before deciding to have children in the first place? Balancing a career, alongside raising children is a demanding task, and understandably so it would require daycare. It also wouldn't just be women's taxes raised, but men's aswell. It is also important to concider if that care system is actually good for the child's mental health.

I assume the shadow self is primarily the 'toxic side' to anyone. It can be tamed, but it must first be acknowledged. You can do the wrong things for the right reasons. You can break the law to feed a starving or medically suffering loved one. You can intimidate, assault, and blackmail a rapist/abuser to leave a friend of yours alone. In my own experience of NoFap, it really isn't all placebo. The superpowers are certainly exaggerated, but not entirely false - I think it depends on the person's mental health prior, and if/how much porn and masterbation was used as a coping mechanism to avoid negative emotions. Very subjective though and ancedotal from my end - while I was practicing NoFap, I was reading and watching a lot of things related to psychology alongside attending therapy which I think gave me closure along the way. …

I'd say those things aren't exclusively male and female traits, there is without a doubt overlap. The insecurity part makes sense in terms of what is more common in men and women (to an extent), however, this methodology is too binary. Reality really isn't this simple for human behaviour. Like for example: A woman can be manipulative, but only a man can be abusive? Behaviours like controlling, insecure, co-dependent, aggressive, too competitive etc. Men and Women can absolutely be both of those …

Just for the record. I was previously one of John Glanvill's patients when he still did 1 on 1 therapy. I know this may come across as some kind of plug, but I promise it isn't lol. His methods have actually really helped me in the past, and I do wish I still lived near him to attend them. Please let me know what you guys think, and I do hope it helps you guys like it did me. I'm not currently on his patreon, but I'm considering it. While he may not know much about redpill (or at least I think h…

Yeah I get you honestly, it is ultimately better with someone you truly share a bond with anyway. I'd say it might be a neccessity for someone if it really bothers them, but it sounds like you have a healthy self-esteem so I reckon you're grand mate.

Fair enough my friend, each to their own. I do believe a long-term fulfilling relationship is ultimately the best, but I do understand with some men the insecurity of lacking sexual experience. I do think in some cases it might be necessary to try it out just to desensitise you to the experience, it obviously won't be as good as a person you genuinely love, but at least you have experienced sex and have an idea, so when the day comes there is less anxiety. I didn't realise these communities are …

Well, honestly. If people have concerns about sexual experience (namely men), I'd say there's nothing wrong with paying a sex worker? As long as you're playing it safe and consensual. Other than that, if money is a concern, there are kink communities and a variety of other sex communities that exist in cities, some might be free, some might have monthly membership, but hell, you might find it a fun thing to do on the weekend after a week of work. The freedom to explore some things you never thou…

Agreed, but this one video was an exception regarding Roma's character. There's still some scummy tactics in there though, he's not off the hook figuratively speaking.

These two videos will explain enough about her character. TBYS's video: https://youtu.be/b1gK0Yrp9aI (Some of his content, opinions, and his own attempts at audience manipulation are scummy, but his content does have merit in a few cases though, just when he doesn't rope all women into the same boat as the unhinged outliers he criticises). Roma Army's response: https://youtu.be/1sxIGtjuE68 I don't necessarily disagree with what she says regarding male issues and toxic feminity (she's clearly an …

(OP) It's true that there are no mainstream safespaces for men - particularly one's which can teach them how to deal with their emotions, live happier lives, be better people for themselves and others. Is it true that men face a disproportionate level of loneliness compared to women? Do most women (or people in general) simply not care about this issue men (people) face? As someone that grew up in a toxic family environment, I understand how it feels to be alone - you almost seek the family conn…

What are your opinions on high body count? (Applied to both men and women) How can you deal with the insecurity of feeling less experienced than those with higher body counts? Do you tend to avoid these people in the dating world? (Is it really a red flag for the long-term?)

"Masculinity is not inherently toxic" I agree with this statement. I think there are apsects of masculinity that are great, and can be performed by both sexes. Would you agree this phrase implies masculinity is a utility, as such, those which express and engage in these behaviours (predominantly men) are by extension a utility? - it's a class issue men face. Ultimately, I find the most friendly, easy-going, fulfilled, and stable people in life tend to feel comfortable enagaging in masculinity an…

Again, i'm not a fan of JP... I just happen to agree with him on certain issues... Also, you really shouldn't limit yourself to debate just because you disagree with a certain figure, otherwise you'll just end up in a echo-chamber of the same ideas until those views become extreme. You don't like Jordan Peterson for his misogyny, you feel he's 'labelling' women from the things he says and drawing unfair conclusions about them.

I mean, I wouldn't really say i'm a devout fan of JP lol. There are some things he's said that I agree with, but not all in absolute. I do appreciate his objective stances on certain topics i.e. Gender politics, Equality of Outcome, relationships etc. No idea why you're jumping to these extreme conclusions tbh, i'm only on this subreddit to ask some questions and maybe have a rational debate about something even if both parties disagree.

From the debates and interviews he's done I think he articulates himself pretty well, I wouldn't really constitute that to him being narcissistic. Ultimately, he's confident in what he says because he's been doing clinical psychology for years. What things do you think are misogynistic that he's said?

It makes sense in this scenario given the behaviours of the mother, but of course when you reach adulthood, it's your responsibility to manage yourself and your actions, I always wondered what would be an effective way for these young men to understand and promote agency within themselves because there are parents that do this emotional conditioning to their children which they internalise, not really giving them good practical skills for the real world, it's pretty sickening how selfish this be…
