I think part of what sent me down the redpill rabbit hole originally was truama from bullying at school, dysfucntional family, and all the crap I would consume on social media.

Fast forward today, I worked on myself and got into the best shape I could despite the circumstances with my disability. I do think I have a better handle socially and find it easier to make friends, but sometimes I can't help but think people are just becoming more and more narcissistic.

I feel as though a lot of people virtue signal about body positivity and all this other acceptance stuff while simultaneously being obsessed with social status and basically judging and shaming people in a backhanded or passive aggresive way.

It's rather strange, it reminds of Patrick Bateman in American Psycho going on about feeding the homeless, helping the poor, and doing the right thing etc. Next thing you know you contrast that with all the messed up shit he ends up doing.

I haven't felt comfortable getting involved in any of this culture as I feel like people just use it as an aesthetic to look good and it's either the case they just lack the intelligence to see their hypocrisy, or they just don't care because they get enough attention and validation to see no reason to change.

What I really don't get is why say all of this stuff when you clearly don't believe it or hold yourself accountable? If you're an asshole, just own it, right? People just eat this shit up and see no issue with it, and I feel like the way the culture is structured is helping toxic people bully and shit on others without facing any consequences, while they get praised as good people.
