I can’t stress this enough. OP is totally right!! If you’re young or don’t have enough dating/people experience you might just ignore the importance. But it matters. There’s a study which indicates that people with low self esteem generally don’t tidy their room. And keeping your place clean means having basic sense of responsibility. If the guy can’t do that he’s LV as in person. Not just in male terms. Literally all the guys I dated who were manchild were like this. Their room was a mess. Sure…

That’s why I don’t date guys from certain culture or religion like Muslims. And I also don’t date guys who’s been abused when growing up. They literally have no empathy for women let alone other human being.

My ex was narcissist he never changed. And he kept asking how he can change. There’s a saying from my country which says, your habit when you’re 3 yrs old will continue on till you die. Men or women especially toxic personality doesn’t change. I weed them out by letting them talk about past relationship and how their parents are to them. Narc is not even LVM they’re piece of shit that needs to be eradicated.

I could write detailed explanation using my personal experience. My ex was master manipulator and he used his female friend to triangulate. His female friend was exact opposite of me. Tall and slim. And he’d always tell me he likes tall girls. When I couldn’t find him, or he was lost in contact, he’d always be with her. It made me so stressed that I started to stalk her instagram. But in conclusion, if the guy is doing this to you, tell him to fuck off and date the girl he is describing. Better …

Yes true, couldn’t believe he was 35.

Yes I agree. He had weird deep roosted insecurities I later found out after a year. He’d always spend very long time before going out. Not that he’s into fashion or grooming, he has very low self esteem which led him to take long time to get ready. So he looks good enough for other people’s eyes when in public.

I’m Korean and to be brutally honest, in Korea, you have to look pretty to get married before 30 and that’s the norm. Most guys put huge importance on looks and girls put a lot of effort even on going to simple dates. It’s sad but true. No matter how educated or you are someone with interesting personality, it all comes down to looks.

Oh god, my ex did this when we were both in London. He’d always walk at least 10 meters in front of me. It means he doesn’t care or doesn’t want to be seen with me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/02/20 07:44 AM

My narc ex was perf example of this. Whenever I did something or no matter where we went, he’d always find something to complain. It means he doesn’t like you. And ppl who complain a lot also represents that they have low self esteem and have lot of insecurities that they can’t take on and feel ashamed of.

I so needed this. I had a crush on the guy I slept with two times and he wanted to stay as friends sadly. I was told so upset but he said that I’m cool and that’s why he wants to stay as friends. But when we’re hanging out, he’d always stare at me in sexual way but he doesn’t initiate dates nor suggest where to meet.

No it was a scam. I don’t live in TriBeCa and was about to give him fake address so he could waste his $

Thanks so I cut him off finally. But I can’t help feeling he didn’t like me and saw me as fuckable but not datable bc of my looks. I don’t want to feel upset about it, but just can’t help it.

I cut him off and just wishing that he won’t cal me tmr bc he said he will. In retrospective, I could see why it was bugging me so much on things he said to me. He told me about his ex and other dates he have gone and he wasn’t even hesitant to make harsh comments about their physical appearances. But he’s not good looking either.

All my abusive ex were like this. They were low maintenance but would constantly complain after I set up the dates. That’s why I don’t deal with these guys. Either I’d just sit back and see how they plan the dates or either tell them, you don’t deal with the no effort guys. Modern dating culture messed these guys up and think they’d be treated as a king while girls do all the work. If you make no effort on meeting me, then don’t expect sex from me either.

yeah I couldn't resonate more. My ex was the one who reached out to me when I was middle attracted to him. I got approached when I was fat also my bmi was 23. but now I'm 25. but I never ever felt good about myself, because I saw my value equivalent that of my physical attractiveness. I'm working on mind work, and other things.

Omg are you me ? I had this guy who’s 40s straight up asking to come to his hotel. He was 43 and in non monogamous relationship. I’m assuming married or dead bed room. I called 911 and sent police to his hotel. And reported his profile. Like pls don’t msg me if you can see yourself in the mirror and objectively Evaluate yourself. These guys are nuts to think they’d have chance with me. After a while I realized most good looking guys have boosted ego, so they know they’ll get what they want in si…

One of the reasons that lead to breakup was Instagram. My ex would like his female friends photo as soon as it was uploaded and she’d intentionally upload stories of him and her to fuck me up. That’s why I strongly go for guys who don’t have Instagram at all. If you’re mature and have busy real life, you don’t need Instagram as a man unless your work involves social media. And I found that when I go on dates with guys who’s no involved in social media, they’re more grounded and have strong sense…

I wish I could move to elsewhere for meeting men. Attractive guys only want fwb and others are creepy old dudes. I went out with 47 yr old men few times - he paid for everything but it was funny how bald, average 47 yr old guy thinks I’ll become his gf. I was talking to this other avg slightly out of shape guy, luckily he has his shit together( consultant) and he didn’t tell me he wasdiroved! I’m losing hope trying to find someone in nyc. Might as well move to Europe. I wish I could tell these t…

Yes me too. I’m asian maybe that’s why. That’s why I don’t go for American guys bc they’re mostly big or overweight. I like tall slender guys with broad shoulders.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/01/20 12:04 AM
16

I couldn’t agree more. I live in New York and even guys here are worse than guys in any country in Europe I guess. Mostly shirtless photos or photos or endless selfies. I really prefer tall, slim and toned guys and I feel like it’s finding a needle in a haystack when I’m tindering here.

Yeah and at the same time, guys say that and they’re the one who push for intimacy on early on in the relationships. Whether you have sex early on or not, if guys like that compartmentalize girl at early on in the relationship, drop him. Or either go way beyond. What I do is, I friendzone the guy immediately and when he asks me personal questions, I’d tell him he’s being clingy.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/01/20 06:46 PM

Yes I noticed that also. I used to think these guys fall head over heels for models. And I think it’s true. Either they are good looking but they used to be ugly duck so they’re unaware of it or they know it but then they’re after only 10/10 girls. I’ve met really good looking mid aged men and they explicitly told me that they’re only after the best looking women. And now they’re single at 50. Guys are very aware that they are good looking so I came to conclusion that in order for them to chase …

From what I studied, you can catch the cues if you study enough about human psychology in general. and if a guy starts with poor me, he's a kid, not a man, dump him
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/01/20 05:08 AM

Yes I realized or from my experience, most guys don’t suggest fwb to conventionally attractive women. However, even if they have a gf who’s committed and generous to them if the girl has low smv then they go on ask reddit asking if he should dump her or not.

Yes because after my ex abused me, I realized guys who’ve been abused when young (whether from family or from school friends) it’s deeply roooted in their subconsciousness and they’re mostly have attachment issues. It’s a huge deal than rest of them on the list. People don’t realize it but in my country they say, people who’ve been loved when young can give it to others. It’s so true. People who’ve never been loved properly don’t know how to give it to others properly also. They also have lack o…

You don’t tell him, you just don’t bring your credit or debit or cash during the date. Tell him you prefer someone who takes the initiative and takes the date seriously.

Oh I live manhattan so what I meant was he could suggest a place to meet, but you can pick the area. I try to pick the place around me Incase something goes wrong during the date.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/01/20 10:08 PM
23

I totally resonate. I used to be like that also until I realized they should cherish me and add value to my life first before they get something. Guys really take granted. Also it’s in their nature to chase someone so once we start showing nurturing, they’ll take it as we’re theirs and lose interest usually. What I do is, I’ll try to treat them as a friend. Observe yourself and them.

Yes can’t agree more. I used to hold back on sex when my ex had a beard. I personally don’t find beard attractive. I’m wondering if I should just move to Europe to find a bf.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/01/20 04:00 AM

Yes but if I only go on dates with guys who’s my type, it’d be like having date once a year or even none. Lot of times I felt like I wasted my time with guys who I don’t find attractive at all. I didn’t want to hurt their feelings so I string them and they’d expect something more such as sex.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/01/20 03:27 AM

Yes, I tried hinge(as I heard someone had higher success than tinder) but guys who like me are mostly fat ugly dudes. And I’d rather much stay single than date them. Then, I go on date and realized these guys have roommates or either much short than their claimed heights. When I used tinder in Germany and U.K., I really enjoyed using it. It was so fun and I was anticipating a lot to go on dates but in nyc, unless I meet businessman who’s here for work, it’s just meh.

Can you share your story and advice on FDS ? Because I’d like to know your strategy... most men I met all want physical intimacy after few months while they didn’t care about exclusivity.

I don’t mind most men attractive. I go for sex only if I find the guy attractive but I tend to overfunction also. But finding a guy who’s my type is like once in a year thing sadly.

But have you come across one yet ? Ideally I want to meet rich HVM also, but I think for me it’s like getting struck by lightening. I’m not that beautiful so for now, I’m fine with meeting good hearted HvM.

Thanks for the sincere advice :) yes I’m very introverted and shy and people all assume I’m very young like late teens to early 20s fob asian. So I feel like whenever I go out, it’s hard to blend in. But as you said I need to put myself out there. But again, thanks a lot for the detailed advice. :) and yes I do agree that I’ve gone out with LvM because I’d didn’t vet them enough or was swept away by their appearance. But after going out I realized we’re very different as in personality.

I think even though I live in the city I work in female surroundings. I live around where lot of banks and law firms are though. I’m financially stable and live alone in manhattan but lot of guys who are like me financially and have stable job have zero interest in settling down or want just hookups. Guys that do have gf, most of the times their gf is models or girls who look good on insta. I mostly meet guys via app. And guys who I come across most attractive were always German as they’re tall …

Yes I’ve met few guys on tinder and as I’ve been living alone and going through severe PTSD after breakup two years ago, I was trying to socialize so I started using it again. But lot of times and esp after going through FDS most of these guys are LVM. And I could see that they don’t regard me seriously and makes me wonder if I’m wasting my time in the first place. My ex I met through on tinder abused me emotionally very heavily. That I couldn’t get out of house for 2 years and had to withdraw f…

Yes that’s why I don’t do any hookups and even I meet guys on tinder I let them know it’s platonic. Or they use girls for their breakups they had recently.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/01/20 05:19 PM

Yes the issue is, same like you, my type isn’t popular around where I live. I like tall and skinny boyish guys and I tend to date guys from Europe more as they fit into these standards. But there’s not many even in nyc I realized. The guys I come across are mostly LvM or guys who just want quick send and recently broken up. I never had good experiences with guys who jump on to relationship to sex to relationships. I don’t want to be anyone’s rebound girl.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/01/20 05:17 PM

Yeah, I found most American guys to be trash period. Very very status and money oriented but they lack personality. And also dress like a slob, without any taste. They think they’re better just because they’re from the states, but to be honest, they’re smv drops when compared to guys in Europe.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy09/01/20 03:48 PM

So you’d recommend to avoid American raised guys ? I’ve met few American guys but never liked any. Mostly looks and personality. Too bad because just like OP, I live here and I like living here minus the guys.

So I’ve noticed when I date white guys, I don’t know if it’s cultural thing or they think they can get away with it or bc I met them via tinder, but they don’t make efforts. And also low quality white guys think they can get away with lot of things just because of their race. They think asian girls would consider ugly white as good looking. We all know good looking guy is good looking no matter the country.

If you don’t mind me asking how bad was it ? I met few European white and American white via friends and online dating apps, it’s been good mostly, but i didn’t have good experiences with Indian and middle Eastern guys. Also I couldn’t find American white guys attractive at all( rounded jaws, the accent and rudeness ). I do think that white guys that exclusively date Asians are guys who’s more out of the standards. Mostly betas I noticed. I’m in nyc so there’s variety of guys here but I don’t enj…

This is exactly my ex and I worked as consultant, and prior to that worked in different jobs that require to meet various people. Never in my life met someone who doesn’t have any conscience and justify every one of their behavior. Not only family but culture has huge impact on breeding sociopaths. The best way to avoid them is to mirror their behavior or ignore them.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/01/20 04:24 AM
12

Yes, I’ve had met my fair share of LVM like that online. Well, mostly in japan we consider tall and slim guys as attractive unlike overweight white guys, so it’s unlikely that I’ll be attracted to any of them. I’ve had guys question me why I’m not attracted to them. I told them that I’m not attracted to fat men in general, whether white or not.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/01/20 10:33 PM

Girl, I’m totally with you. I used to be totally fine on my own. But when it comes to dating, it heavily involves sexual attraction. And honestly guys like skinny and fit women. That’s what I don’t get about feminism. Beautiful at any size? I agree and disagree. HVM tends to take care or himself and expects his SO to be same. When I finally made the change, I felt like different world opened up infront of me. I was living my best life.

I’m sorry to hear that. It’s creepy and I hope ok don’t get back with your ex. I’d be suspicious or any guy using other girl for their emotional wound. I just told the guy that I don’t meet guys who just broke up. I’m not anyone’s back up plan.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/01/20 11:25 AM

Yup. On tinder I get lot of likes by guys who’s over 40. I once went out with a man who was 60yr pls who told me he doesn’t find any women around his age attractive. I asked him to be my Sugar daddy and it didn’t work out. Lot of these guys who’s chasing younger girl doesn’t have a core in themselves.

Thanks so much! Yes, it’s true that when I moved to New York, I was so lonely and depressed that I was emotionally vulnerable and chasing after emotionally unavailable, immature and fuckboys type of guys which left me a trauma. Then I worked on myself to find out that I actually want different type of guys. But for now, I think I’ll invest more on building networks and friends. Thanks 🙏

oh, also coming to think of it, long time ago when I was using seeking, this guy reached out to me via reddit. He asked to meet him on 8am in cafe, (8am !!). about your friends? Do that have any connections? You also need to be clearer about what you actually want so you're not pity dating. Yes you’re not demanding. What I listed is mostly based on personalities and it really matters a lot. I’ve been abused by my ex and wished I’d know these things earlier on. You never know how someone’s fucked up mind can ruin another and leave severe trauma.

Yes, If your bf tells you that you’re crazy for thinking his friendship with female friend is not more than platonic, do the exact same thing. See how he reacts. After this, I don’t believe anything that a guy like that says. Rather, I just MIRROR him exactly. The only way to voice your opinion when it comes to guy is to mirror them. I also refuse to date guys around my age.

I thought I wrote this. My ex would turn away whenever someone called him or texted him. And whenever I asked, he told me it’s nothing. Your ex was a trash. Nude of his cousin? After this I stay away from all Muslim men. And I just abort when a guy says he has a close female friend. Then why not date your female friend then ? Saves you all the effort you need making a gf and plus the time. You know why ? Because they want to have best of both worlds. They want a girl who gives them sex, benefits…

Yeah. I used to think I was obsessive and crazy just as he labeled me. Then it hit me. I trusted him and whenever he said he’d meet his friends, I didn’t care or worried because back then, he wasn’t close to his female friends. So I was fine until he called me psycho. The best way to fix this situation is to mirror the guys behavior. I doubt that any guy would be fine with this. Then when he asks you where you’ve been and who you’re talking to, simply tell him he’s being clingy and psychotic. Is…

My ex commented on my height all the time. He’s put his pal over my head, telling me that he’d wish I was taller. Then cheat on me with his female friend who’s like 5,10. But he was so insecure about his looks so he’d always ask me if he looks fine whenever he went out. What I realized was men want women who looks beautiful and even after marriage and pregnancy. There was a survey and no.1 thing that men are afraid after marriage is their wives becoming unattractive and fat. Not other things. Th…

I actually did this to my ex. I went on a date with this guy from tinder because he was barely spending time with me when I was visiting him. Then he video called me and I had to hang up in midway and he started questioning and calling me crazily asking if I’m hiding something when I wasn’t. I regret not doing this more. My ex was walking real life hypocrite.

Yeah, I mean I find the guys who keep female friend as their BFF while spending most time with them and have gf sickening. That’s why I suggest girls who’s going through that situation to do the same exact thing that guy does. I also believe that those guys are the type who’d highly cheat in marriage and lie that they didn’t.

Adding to that, there’s a reason why I’m so firm about what I said regarding meddling your feelings. Because it won’t stop from there. Guy who plays with other people’s feelings, will use people around him, whether guy or girl to his own benefits. My ex had neglecting parents and was abused also. I feel sorry for him but If I’d known this, I’d drop him. Your childhood forms most of your personality and subconsciousness. I could write a long list of red flags for all the women out there because a…

Yes as experienced women in late 20s, men and women attitude are different when it comes to friendships. As much as i wanted to believe men and women can be friends, after this experience I couldn’t. If they are friends, it’s secretly fwb or one another has feeling for another. And guy having close female friends than male fiends make me suspicious tbh. I asked numerous friends and they all said it’s mostly unlikely that the guy has pure intentions. My ex liked his female fiends and I literally …

Yeah. I do like how they’re open minded and friendly sometimes but I really really like guys who are stylish. When I say stylish, I don’t mean into clothes but rather having at least style awareness at basic level. And I’m really into slim guys with jaws so I think that’s why I’m so into German guys who were around my age. There was this one guy I was so into, he’s in Munich now. We were actually more like fwb but he was just so my type physiocratic i cant let go of him inmy mind. He was like 6,…

I don’t think so, but I met them mostly through tinder so can’t generalize. Most send them dick pics straight away while German and Brit, also Dutch didn’t do. They wanted sex eventually but they were respectful.

Yes, I heard that women and men act different around friends. For guys, belong to a pack means everything while women, if they think their friends in their group are looking down or belittling them, they just leave the group. It was so interesting to hear this, as it exactly explains why my ex would drop everything to be with his friends. And same with Saudi ex and the German ex. Even if it was my last day with them, they’d drop me at any given moment to be with their friends.

Yes in that sense I agree. But I’ve met plenty of guys who suggest cheap coffee dates and push for sex later on. And even after I met coffee and liked them, the following dates were all cheap, low effort dates.

No, not at all. I don’t recommend doing coffee dates. When guys ask why, I simple tell them that I drink coffee only in the morning. I heard that some guys think spending more than 5$ is waste of money on dates. I doubt that those guys will treat you well. And he didn’t even ask to get one when he was heading for the croissant. Nope, nope. That’s selfish also. Little things can tell a lot about the persons overall character. I implied policy that I don’t do coffee dates nor drink date. And if a …

I had this guys set up for date on tinder. I usually ask them where they live in manhattan. Once, this guy in early 40s said he lives in west village so I said I live in east Harlem. Yes i noticed it’s the same with all country. Usually, when I come across white and asian female couple in nyc, I hate to say this and maybe shunned for this but the asian girl isn’t considered pretty or relationship material by asian standards and so is the white guy. White guys were always nerdy or something was off. And I know that local American girls wouldn’t date them. I assumed the same with German guy I met in nyc also. I dated guy from Saudi. I actually wrote a post or comment about it. DON’T EVER ever date a guy from certain cultures and countries. I refrain from dating Muslim culture countries. He did tell me he was bullied when young, but he was 27 when I met him. He’s old enough to control his defensiveness and he couldn’t. Omg, no way. I hope he’s hot at least. What a cheap asshole. I went on a date with French once, he planned and I met him in fancy area. After hours of him talking, he asked to split the bill. I never had good experiences with French men. So sneaky and sleazy and it’s hard to put thick skinned expression acting like I don’t know what’s going on. They’re really the most coy type of guys I’ve encountered. Way worse than American guys. And most of them are petit and slim.

Yeah it’s either one way. Guy or girl likes the other one. These are also the type of people likely to cheat later on and justify themselves. If those situations arise, I start doing the same thing. Go on a date or make guy friends and not care about him. You should have said to his female friends.” But you’re the hoe...” Guys and girls can be friends ? Yeah but they call fwb as friends also.

This advice is so on point. I try to passive aggressive when dealing with conflict or issues with men also. You can’t be screaming or defending yourself or moreover blaming him. I just quietly show him throw actions. I try to observe his Behavior and try to see how far he can take without me intervening or doing any actions. By letting the guy chose, you also get to test him. Guy always has to do the work. It’s bad that today’s culture tell so many women to be more equal and fight for the goals …

If you don’t mind me asking, how’s your experience in dating in nyc? I had my fair share of the good and the bad. I wish I could move to Europe. But unfortunately I’m bound to live in nyc at least few years. Personally I think nyc works for dating if you’re a model or someone with extremely good looks and work in art industry. But then, there’s no guarantee that guy won’t cheat. As guys in nyc have abundance mentality and it boots their ego. More with their status and money they earn, it’s not hard to be LVM that looks like HVM. Yes i leave them hanging. Or moreover play way vicious mind-games to let them have taste of their own. Or reply in one word to show disinterest. There’s different level of mind games from what I learned. But the best way to mind fuck then is ghost on dates or in midway of convo in texting.
